Nice place helped towards a good trip away - lots of comfy space it’s close to shops and a easy scenic walk into town - many things provided within the property that made it stress free showed me that the staff know what they are doing - many thanks

We stayed for 7 nights at the tucked away Harbour Haven in Whitby and had the most amazing time!
When we first walked in, it seemed quite dark but, on further exploration, the views from the sitting room and main bedroom revealed themselves and boy were they special - directly onto the harbour, with the piers beyond!
The accommodation was comfortable and easily accommodated three of us. We had everything we needed and more.
Booking through Finest Retreats was a smooth and straightforward process. Communication was excellent, with all details arriving as promised. Any queries were dealt with promptly, professionally and in a helpful manner.
We'd love to stay again and would recommend the property and Finest Retreats.

Beautiful stay at little roost Lyme Regis, Duncan was so helpful and cottage was perfect, walk into Lyme Regis was easy and beautiful views, would stay again for sure

This is our second summer holiday at The Cuddy. It is a fantastic house in a perfect location. In 2023 the weather was bad but we were a much smaller party.

This year in 2026 we were a full house of 12 and the weather was excellent. Every meal could be eaten outside, which was just as well - as the kitchen and dining area are not large enough to seat more than 6 people comfortably.

The wobbly wooden outdoor dining table and 5 wooden chairs are rather ancient and should be replaced. The table itself only seats 6, but we had brought two more picnic tables of our own with us , and found plenty of plastic chairs in the shed.

So, if the outdoor dining furniture can be upgraded to accommodate 12 for next season, the Cuddy would earn a 5 star review.

The house was decorated very nicely, very clean. Location was great, close to beach and town centre. The staff at finest retreat were also very helpful. One thing that topped it off was having access to body boarding and surf boards and that amazing carry bag, slogging boards to the beach was a breeze. Quite place also, no issues with noise from the pub down the path or neighbours. Having the outdoor space was also great. Drying clothes and boards.The parking was big enough for my Tiguan.

Our visit to Little Roost in Uplyme was exceptional. The cottage was perfect for us and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Comfy, clean, lots of little touches that made it feel extra special. Would 100% recommend.

We stayed for a week at cawsand cottage in cawsand cornwall. The cottage was perfect & the attention to detail was fantastic. Dealing with finest retreats was a joy as they made things very easy & their communication was brilliant. I will return to cawsand at sometime & will certainly use finest retreats for our accomodation.

We absolutely loved our stay at Driftwood in Widemouth Bay - outstanding location, super relaxing vibe. We would certainly book again.

Highly recommend, everything was clean, homely and spacious. We had a great time switching off and enjoying the hot tub. Sarah was super friendly and helpful!

Good clean well equipped accommodation, I would say affordable luxury. The furnishings were modern clean and comfortable. All linen and towels provided. Good clear instructions before arrival. Friendly helpful cleaning staff. Situated in the centre of Filey , minutes away from all the action. Extra bonus private off street parking.

Stayed in Maldon, josua house. Great location. Excellent communication and good range and quantity of essentials provided- including plenty of tea bags/toilet paper/dishwasher tablets and washing machine pods. The standard of cleanliness of the bathrooms was excellent. A lovely holiday

We had a great three generation family holiday at Felin Ship in Dolgellau. Lovely house and location perfect. Everything about the booking system and communication from the company was excellent. Will definitely book with them again.

We stayed 6 nights recently at The Rectory Nook Annexe, Saint Teath, North Cornwall near Port Issac, Tintagel and Padstow. This is a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment with own front door, separate large shower room and toilet and also ample parking on the drive and outdoor seating area. The Apartment has a large double bed, beautiful soft furnishings, small fridge, tea making facilities etc. Quiet location with rolling hills view, The White Hart Pub 200m away in the middle of the village serving great food as we ate their 3 times! and also a local cafe, ate their twice that's not open Sun/Mon. Our hosts were an amazing couple that make you truly welcome. Definitely a 5***** stay.

My father booked a family holiday at Oasis 41 in Norfolk hosted by Finest Retreats, and my family and I thought it was a deeply distressing experience. We will never book through this agency again.

Upon arrival, we felt the lodge was in an unacceptable state of cleanliness, with cobwebs and dead flies in every room. We also found an active flying ant infestation in the bathroom, rendering it completely unusable, with ants also trying to enter the bedrooms. Despite reporting this immediately on day one, no one arrived to help that day, forcing us to clear the ants ourselves.

Finest Retreats sent an odd-job-man on day two and a cleaner on day three to clear the ants—long after we had informed them that we had already been forced to clear them. The odd-job-man discovered the ants were entering through a hole in the bathroom wall but, four weeks after our departure, we were told that repairs were still "being scheduled."

We thought the property fell far short of basic standards:

Furniture and Cleanliness: The accommodation looked to us to be poorly maintained. Notably, the swinging chair downstairs was unusable, being filthy and with the stuffing in the cushions falling out.
Appliances: The dishwasher failed to operate, and Finest Retreats' repair attempts failed. The oven appeared to us not to have been properly cleaned for months and looked deeply unhygienic. The waste disposal unit initially failed to work, and there was an active leak under the sink for our entire stay.
Electrical Safety: Some appliances displayed electrical safety testing stickers showing the last tests were in 2019. During our stay, all the fuses blew, cutting off power totally. Finest Retreats simply instructed my elderly father to turn the fuses back on without investigating the root cause. He refused due to safety concerns. While we were out, someone entered the lodge and restored power, but we were never given an explanation or any confirmation that the electrics were safe. In my opinion, this demonstrated a casual attitude toward basic health and safety regulations.

Finest Retreats made no offer to move us to another lodge and due to our particular circumstances it was not practical to try to find another holiday at short notice. My father was due to have more treatment for cancer the following week and I had returned early from a work assignment in the USA for that week’s holiday.

After we left, my father requested a reimbursement of costs incurred. An offer was made that my father thought was inadequate and it explicitly said payment would be after he had removed his negative review on Trustpilot. He rightly refused. It is my honest opinion that this practice of incentivising the removal of negative reviews may be a reason why this agency appears to have so few low ratings online.

My father is now pursuing this matter through the small claims court to recover his money, but the agency has refused to disclose all the property owner's details.

Save yourself the stress and book elsewhere. Don't expect good customer service from Finest Retreats or a transparent refund process if things go wrong.
