The repair to the damage is seamless…
The repair to the damage is seamless and the presentation upon delivery (ie valet) was a great bonus.
The drop off of the vehicle was delayed by several days due to a lack of effective communication between the garage and my insurer. My insurer recalled their hire vehicle as they were informed by the garage that the works were completed. I was left without a car for an extended period of time. I chased the garage on several occasions and each time they said the vehicle was due final checks before being ready for return. Around 4 working days later, the car was actually dropped off.

On occasion, communication between repairers and insurers can unfortunately become crossed, particularly around projected completion dates and final quality checks. They provide awful service
They provide awful service. Received the car first week in Nov. 2025 and delivered it back End of Jan. 2026. They said awaiting parts which by investigating, they haven't bothered to order the parts until 3 weeks after receiving the car. Not professional in handling complaints. Not sending reports or the damage to the car and you will never know what's wrong or what's been changed in your car or any warranty.
UPDATE:
There is a lot of incorrect information in your reply,
My husband had a phone call 07 Jan. 2026 and was told that the parts were ordered in Dec. And therefore he requested those information to be sent in writing which never been actioned.
Also never received any reports on the repairs done or warranty.
On top of that the driver who brought the car said there is a sensor error which you will need to order it and call again to repair it that means the work was not done completely and no guarantee that plan will be fulfilled as I don't have any proof.
Regarding delivery the car, I was ready to have it returned on Friday 23rd but you told me that you don't have enough drivers and therefore wanted to deliver the car later and you were not flexible in delivering at time suitable to dropping kids to school even though we have waited for that long to receive the car. I am ready to answer any defense on the lack of professionalism in fixing the car.

Having reviewed our records, your vehicle arrived on site on 13/11 and the repair was authorised on 15/11. All required parts were ordered promptly on 19/11; however, one key component, the wheel, was on back order with the main dealer and unfortunately did not arrive until 19/01, which significantly impacted the overall repair timescale and was outside of our control.
Once the part arrived, the repair was completed promptly. We did make several attempts to contact you to arrange handover, and were successful on 22/01, with the vehicle being returned as agreed on 27/01.
We’re sorry if you felt that communication or documentation was lacking during this process. Our standard procedure is to provide updates throughout the repair and ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards, including maintaining any applicable warranties. If this was not clear at the time, we apologise for the frustration this caused.
At Fix Auto Basingstoke, we pride ourselves on professionalism and transparency, and we regret that your experience did not reflect the level of service we aim to deliver. Communication was brilliant throughout
Communication was brilliant throughout, Di in particular was a real pleasure to talk to and she always got us the latest updates and done everything she could throughout the process.
The workshop guys we spoke to were also very good, open and honest.
It seemed to take ages, but that’s only due to parts, the team that we spoke to, seemed to care about the finish and made sure it came back to us only when it was completely right.
The guy who collected our car was careful and thoughtful and so was the guy who delivered it back to us.
It is never nice having to have a vehicle go in for repair following an accident, but the team made it as easy as possible.

Insurance referral
I was referred to Fix Auto through my insurance company. It was the Basingstoke branch which sorted my car. The staff kept me informed and I had a courtesy car which they were able to bring to my place of work. The repair itself is excellent work- the car is as good as new. The driver- Phil- brought the car back and the handover was also smooth. Great job all around.
