This company were really supportive throughout my car repair in particular the office staff were very kind and helpful,thorough and keeping me informed, Phil and Ben dropped my car back and were lovely. I am so happy to have my car back looking great again.

Frustrating experience/ poor communication
My car was in the garage for 10 days for a simpler bumper repair. This seems like an overly long time. Communication was very poor, I constantly had to chase for updates. Emails and voicemails were not replied to. The lack of communication from the garage was very frustrating.
The car was returned clean and fully repaired. Both drivers one - Phil - who delivered the courtesy car and collected it were polite and efficient .
Overall a frustrating experience as the courtesy car had a dreadful gearbox / clutch and I was stuck with it for 10 days which felt like 8 days longer than it should have been.

Having reviewed our records, we’ve been unable to locate a repair matching your name, which makes it difficult for us to investigate your concerns in full. However, we would like to clarify that all of our courtesy vehicles are less than two years old, fully serviced, and regularly inspected to ensure there are no functional issues before being provided to customers.
In relation to communication, our process includes keeping customers updated throughout the repair journey, typically with at least five progress emails, and we’re sorry if this was not reflected in your experience. We’re pleased to hear that you were happy with the completed repair and found our drivers polite and efficient, but we regret that other aspects fell short of your expectations.

From the first contact I found FixAuto friendly, professional, and helpful. Di in reception is a pleasure to meet and provides a welcome and level of courtesy and communication that most firms struggle to even aspire to. The quality of our repair was excellent, the car was immaculate on its return too, and the courtesy car was itself a positive experience. Not needing a repair is still probably everyone’s first preference but if you need one then I wholly recommend FixAuto based on my experience.

Very disappointing and dissatisfied
Problems re courtesy car. Requested an automatic because of knee problem. Told I would get one but a manual car was delivered with an empty tank.
No concrete information about return of car or what work was being carried out .
I did all the phoning.
They messed up the central locking which delayed return by 2+ weeks .
Returned car eventually with a foul smell, discovered a damp cleaning cloth had been left in the car.
If I had had the choice I would not have used them but they were my insurers preferred repair shop. I did complain

Thank you for taking the time to review our services, and we’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. We understand how frustrating the situation must have been regarding the courtesy car and delays in returning your vehicle.
Having reviewed your repair, our team did everything possible to provide a suitable courtesy car. You were informed in advance that the available vehicle was a manual and kindly accepted this prior to delivery, but understandably declined it upon arrival due to your health concerns. We also acknowledge that the vehicle had less fuel than intended, and apologise for this inconvenience, our driver encountered delays and additional mileage due to local roadworks, which you were made aware of at the time.
We then arranged for an automatic alternative to be sent, but unfortunately, this was declined due to its size. As we only had larger automatic vehicles available, we understand you later sourced a courtesy car through your insurer instead.
Throughout the repair process, we maintained communication via multiple email updates and worked to return your vehicle as soon as possible. The issue with the central locking required a main dealer inspection, which unfortunately caused additional delay beyond our control due to their booking schedule.
We are very sorry to hear about the smell in the vehicle on return and sincerely apologise if a damp cloth was accidentally left inside following the valet, this falls below the standards we expect.
At Fix Auto Basingstoke, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service across our network and are sorry that, on this occasion, your experience did not reflect that. We appreciate your feedback, which has been shared with the team involved to help improve our service in the future.

After my car was involved in an accident and taken to fix auto for repair, I was very pleased with the result, the communication was excellent from start to finish as was the end result. I was very impressed with the high quality of spray painting and finish. I would highly recommend.
