The bad aftertaste after receiving a near dead bouquet

The postscript to receiving really poor quality flowers needs to be made public. After about a week after our complaint, we had a patronising email saying that flowers that lasted 4-5 days should be regarded as doing well, or words to that effect! Ours had lasted 3. The fact that most people are quite used to giving and receiving flower bouquets and therefore had experience of how long flowers typically lasted clearly had not occurred to Flower Station. We were then told that as a special favour we could avail of a £10 discount! A big favour indeed. Keep avoiding Flower Station, you will do far better elsewhere, this has to be one of the worst florists we have used.

By then, most of the flowers had naturally reached the end of their expected lifespan. Our flowers are prepared fresh and, while we anticipate them to last on average 4–5 days after delivery, their longevity can be affected by many factors, including care, placement, and environment. A lifespan slightly shorter than average is unfortunately sometimes unavoidable.

Because the photos were sent well beyond our two-day quality guarantee window, it was not possible to investigate or offer a full replacement. However, as a gesture of goodwill, we offered a £10 discount to acknowledge your dissatisfaction, even though the bouquet had been delivered in excellent condition.

We appreciate all feedback as it helps us improve communication and service, and we’re genuinely sorry that we could not resolve this to your satisfaction on this occasion.

To order flowers for a specific date…

To order flowers for a specific date and not receive them for that date isn’t right, especially three days prior but can order a day before a certain time and get them delivered next day. Not happy as I had also been provided with a tracking number but no way of tracking. Delivery is also 8am-8pm a whole day wasted waiting around.

To clarify, the order was prepared and dispatched on time for delivery to an address outside of London using our partnered next-day courier service. Unfortunately, the courier experienced difficulties locating the address, which resulted in the delivery being delayed by one day. As soon as we were informed of this issue, we notified you and issued a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill, even though the delay was outside of our direct control.

For non-London deliveries, our partnered courier operates within an 8am to 8pm delivery window, which is standard for next-day courier services and is outlined in our delivery information on each product on our website. Tracking numbers provided by couriers for these services typically offer status updates rather than live tracking, which is why real-time location tracking is not available.

We appreciate how frustrating it is to wait in for a delivery and regret that this experience did not meet your expectations. Thank you for your feedback, which helps us continue improving how delivery services and expectations are communicated.

So many poor reviews!

The large number of one star reviews tell you that things are not right and they weren't with us. The colours in our bouquet and the flower matching were great but within two days an alarming number of them had drooped badly and the entire bouquet had to be disposed of by the 4th day. Disappointing customer service after my complaint has been another issue. Avoid!

Terrible Service

would give a minus if I had the option. We ordered sympathy flowers to be sent to a staff member for a family bereavement on 30th October. it is now 10 November and the flowers still have not been delivered. Not only is this bad service, but it reflects badly on us as an employer as we have a staff member who thinks she has been forgotten about during this sad time. This is really poor service. Not an explanation or an email to say that they have not been delivered. Poor communication.

We are genuinely sorry for the upset this situation has caused, particularly given the sensitive nature of a sympathy order. We completely understand how disappointing and distressing this must have felt, both for you as an employer and for your colleague during such a difficult time.

To clarify what happened, for deliveries outside of London, we use a next-day courier service that collects orders on weekdays at 3 PM, with delivery the following day. Unfortunately, this order was placed after the stated cut-off time shown on our website, which meant it could not be dispatched immediately and was temporarily placed on hold.

As soon as this occurred, we made several attempts to contact you via email and system notifications to explain the situation and arrange the next steps. Regrettably, the email address provided (a work email) appeared to block or bounce our messages, which prevented us from reaching you despite repeated efforts over several days.

We then proceeded to arrange delivery on the earliest possible available date, doing so with confirmation from you, and we also issued a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill, as we never want a customer to feel dissatisfied.

We are truly sorry that this did not feel communicated clearly from your side, and we take your comments regarding communication very seriously. Your feedback will help us improve how we handle similar situations in the future.

Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration caused, and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Really disappointed with this service. I ordered a £50 bouquet for my fiancée, which arrived quickly, but within 4–5 days the flowers were already dead. For that price point, I would expect far better quality and longevity — especially when supermarket flowers from Tesco purchased a week earlier are still in great condition.

I contacted customer service with photos and videos, but was told that flowers only last on average 4–5 days and that complaints are only reviewed within 2 days of delivery. By the time the deterioration became noticeable enough to raise a concern, apparently it was already “too late.” Their solution was to offer a £10 store credit — which feels both dismissive and useless, as I certainly won’t be purchasing from them again.

It’s frustrating that they hide behind policy instead of caring about customer experience or product quality. £50 for flowers that barely make it to day five is unacceptable, and the response I received confirmed that this company isn’t interested in standing behind their products.

Lesson learnt — I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Would not recommend.

We would like to clarify a few important points for transparency. The bouquet was prepared using fresh, high-quality roses and was delivered in excellent condition, which was also documented at the time of delivery. We never knowingly sell old or compromised flowers, and quality is something we take very seriously.

As with all fresh flowers, longevity can unfortunately vary and is influenced by several factors outside our control, such as room temperature, water levels, placement, and ongoing care. On average, we advise that cut flowers last around 4–5 days after receipt, which aligns with industry standards.

We do have a clear quality guarantee in place so that we can fairly and accurately investigate any issues. If we are contacted within two days of delivery and provided with photos, we open a formal quality review and offer appropriate resolution where needed. In this case, we were contacted six days after delivery, by which point we were no longer able to reliably assess the original condition of the flowers or determine contributing factors.

That said, we still wanted to acknowledge your disappointment and offered a £10 goodwill credit, despite the request falling outside our review window. This was not intended to feel dismissive, but rather a gesture of goodwill in circumstances where a refund was not possible.

We’re truly sorry that this outcome didn’t meet your expectations, and we regret that you feel let down by our response.

A bouquet of unfresh dying flowers

My daughter purchased me a bunch of flowers a large bunch so would not have been cheap from flower station North London the flowers were not fresh at all the roses when you touch the area to test freshness was super soft the other flowers wilting and darkening in colour. These flowers should not have been sold for purchase. I’ll never use them again.

We take flower quality extremely seriously and do not knowingly sell flowers that are old or compromised. All of our bouquets are prepared using fresh stock and are quality-checked before dispatch. We also retain delivery records, including photos taken at the time of delivery, to ensure orders leave us in good condition.

On this occasion, we did not receive any contact from the purchaser or recipient at the time of delivery or shortly after. We do have a quality guarantee in place so that if an issue is reported within two days of receipt, along with photos, we can investigate properly and offer an appropriate resolution. Without being notified at the time, we unfortunately don’t have the opportunity to assess what may have happened or to put things right.

As with all fresh flowers, their condition after delivery can be affected by factors outside our control, such as temperature, hydration, placement, and care once received.

We are truly sorry that this experience has left a negative impression, and we regret that we were not given the chance to assist at the time.

Terrible Customer service, Late delivery!

I purchased some flowers to be delivered to a colleague. The stated if orders were received before 3pm, they would be delivered the next day. Sadly that wasnt the case at all, they were actually delivered the following week!!! They never even bothered to get in touch to let me know what had happened. Instead, I had to ring the recipient, expecting that she had received the flowers, only to be told that nothing had arrived, thus totally ruining the surprise.
When I emailed the company, as they had failed to contact me themselves to alert me of their error they proceeded to give me a terrible excuse that the courier wasn't given the address - Sorry! Then there were further delays to book another delivery. By which I had contacted my friend again, to ask if she had received anything, to which she hadn't.

I then emailed the company to I
pressed for some sort of financial resolution due to the delays, lack of communication from them, and me having to repeatedly ask my friend about the delivery. To my horror, they then said they had added a box of chocolates to the order. But they failed to ask whether this was an appropriate thing to do. Which it absolutely wasnt as my friend had just had a heart attack and had just come out of hospital. I was mortified, and then disturb my friend, Again, to apologise for the inconsiderate, thoughtless addition to the flowers.

I quickly sent an email to the company informing them of this massive error of judgement, they have failed yet again, to respond!

To clarify what happened: the order was dispatched on time, however upon arrival the courier identified that the address details provided were inconsistent, as the street address and postcode did not match. Unfortunately, this made it impossible for the courier to complete the delivery as scheduled and caused an unavoidable delay for these perishable goods.

As soon as the issue was identified, we worked closely with you over the following day to determine the correct delivery details. Although the delay resulted from incorrect address information provided at checkout, and despite us having technically fulfilled our contractual obligation, we nevertheless arranged a redelivery at our cost as a goodwill gesture.

In an effort to further apologise for the inconvenience, we initially advised that we would include a box of chocolates. Once you informed us that this would not be appropriate, we immediately amended this and instead upgraded the bouquet size, ensuring nothing unsuitable was included.

That said, we are truly sorry that our communication did not feel proactive or reassuring enough throughout the process, and we regret that this resulted in you having to contact the recipient multiple times and losing the element of surprise.

Once again, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment caused, and we thank you for bringing this to our attention.

To clarify the situation, the order was placed approximately two hours before the business we were to deliver closed. Our driver arrived at the address but unfortunately found that the recipient was no longer on site, making delivery impossible at that time. As a result, and to ensure the flowers arrived in perfect condition, the bouquet was remade and redelivered the following afternoon within the company’s working hours.

We would also like to reassure you that the bouquet delivered was exactly the one purchased, prepared in line with the bouquet’s stated composition and with no substitutions. We retain a delivery photo taken at the time of fulfilment, which confirms both the size and contents of the bouquet matched the product ordered.

We understand that expectations can sometimes differ from how flowers appear in real life, as natural blooms vary by season and stem size, but we’re confident that the bouquet met the specifications advertised.

That said, we’re sorry that this experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate you raising your concerns.

Be ware you won’t get the flower you…

Be ware you won’t get the flower you order. I have bought a bouquet to celebrate my anniversary. The bouquet delivered was different in colours than the one purchased. Customer service claimed they do substitutions based on availability. I would like to get what I pay for or at very least be given the option to confirm whether or not I am happy with the proposed changes.

We would like to clarify that the bouquet delivered was exactly the one purchased and arrived in excellent quality. The roses were a slightly lighter pink than shown online, which can sometimes occur due to natural variations in flower colour, seasonal availability, and growing conditions. Our goal is always to recreate the chosen design as accurately as possible, but because flowers are natural and seasonal products, there can be small differences in shade or bloom.

We do offer substitutions when certain flowers are unavailable and we will provide a suitable alternative matched in colour and variety, of similar or greater value without prior notice.

We’re very sorry that this experience left you feeling disappointed and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve communication and expectations around natural variation in floral designs.

My partner has been getting my flowers…

My partner has been getting my flowers from the flower station for 5 years. They have some of the most gorgeous arrangements and the team are sooo lovely. I’m a biker and I wanted them to glam up my bike journey. They certainly did. They made stunning arrangements to suit my bike and helmet and support me for women empowering events. They’re a quality company and even better team 🤍💐
