Friendly water came when booked and fitted my new softener to budget and on time. I have had two softeners and water filters from Friendly Water now and always enjoy dealing with the friendly and competent team.

Great company. Always responsive and reliable. Customer service is important to them. A rare trait in the modern era. Have used Friendly Water for a couple of years now: Honest and Trustworthy. They know their trade. Had a query - instant reply.

The engineer was over an hour late for the appointment and arrived when no one was home. But he patiently waited for 15-20 minutes before I returned, and completed the job to a good standard.

What an great company to do business with. We had a hauge maximiser installed 2 years ago by friendly water. It's been flawlessly working, providing us with the best quality soft water. The unit is amazing with rapid regen times. The units has proven to be very reliable and I just wish I had one installed along time ago. Our softener lives outside in the garden sheltered in a purpose built box supplied by friendly water as I did not want a huge unit taking up room inside my kitchen.

However slightly miffed that the first contact after fitting from the company was nearly 4 months later to ask for a review. No contact prior to that to check all was ok and we were happy.

Returning to Friendly Water after having moved house - we were not disappointed by their professionalism and quick service.

Being in one of the hardest water areas in the country it was essential for us to get a water softener.

Carl who checked out the property pre-install checked everything and explained the best options in great detail, and recommended a Hague product which was installed professionally and fully explained and demonstrated post install.

Unit has been functioning perfectly now and a few weeks in I can already tell the difference in water quality.

I was experiencing low pressure in my water system, caused by a faulty water softener. I called Friendly Water for a repair. The engineer came, diagnosed a fouled softener resin due to chlorine damage, and was told it could not be repaired. Subsequently, he tried very hard to sell me a new water softener for £880. I declined the offer and paid £90 for doing nothing. The whole visit was just a sales pitch, rather than offering a real solution.

I then searched on YouTube and learned Iron Out would be able to solve the problem, and bought one online for £47.61. I followed the instructions and did a manual regeneration on the water softener with Iron Out, and the problem solved! I’m sure Friendly Water’s engineer knew of this very effective yet inexpensive solution, but instead opted for selling me a new product. I found this quite distasteful.

Given the importance of environmental production today, the fact Friendly Water refused to give existing water softener a new lease of life, shows how “unfriendly” they are towards reducing waste going to the landfill.
