I wanted to order a set of 4 power tool…
I wanted to order a set of 4 power tool batteries, I was charged for 2 sets. I received no response to my emails. I eventually received 2 batteries instead of the 8 I should have got. Again, no response to my emails. My advice is to not buy from them.

Fruugo masquerades as a local website…
Fruugo masquerades as a local website with the .co.za website. I ordered some Adidas shoes from them and only after the order was completed and paid for did it become clear that they are an overseas vendor. The order took nearly a month to arrive and they use the Post Office so I don't think I need to go into more detail here. I then had to pay 45% import duty. None of this was highlighted at the time of purchase. I would never order from them again.
NOTE: Following this review I was contacted by Fruugo immediately and they offered to refund the customs fee (which is my biggest complaint about the experience). I have sent through the requested information and will update this review again once the refund has come through

AVOID FRUUGO AT ALL COSTS
AVOID FRUUGO AT ALL COSTS. Aside from parts of the website being flagged by my antivirus as malicious, I ordered a small item that got stuck in tracking limbo. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM FRUUGO, even if the item exists it will get lost in courier hell and you will get passed around between useless tracking dead ends until you give up. Nightmare.

Ordered a product on the 26th of March…
Ordered a product on the 26th of March 2026 and paid 11k. Promised delivery date was between 7 April and 17 April 2026. On the 20th they notified me that they don't have stock. I needed the item as its a crucial part for my car. Now I have to wait who knows how long for a refund and purchase the item elsewhere.
I don't recommend Fruugo.co.za. Buy your stuff somewhere else

They deserve a minus 1 rating
They deserve a minus 1 rating. I ordered in Feb 2026 and to date there's no communication about my order and they don't respond to emails. Don't order from them ! I repeat don't order from Fruugo- you'll just be wasting your money because you order will not be delivered and they won't communicate with you. For customer service & satisfaction they deserve -1 rating.
DON'T ORDER FROM FRUUGO !!
