My experience with Future Car Finance was extremely frustrating and disappointing.
When I applied for vehicle finance through them, I submitted all the required documentation. However, my application came back as “orange declined.” After investigating the issue myself, I contacted WesBank directly and discovered that the decline was due to missing documentation — specifically my driver’s license — which had not been submitted with the application by the F&I representative.
Once the outstanding document was eventually submitted, the application status changed. I then requested that my application also be submitted to other finance houses so that I could compare rates and terms, which is standard practice when trying to secure the best deal. Unfortunately, this was never done.
I later confirmed this by contacting the other finance houses myself, and none of them had any record of an application being submitted on my behalf. When I went back to the F&I representative and asked for proof of submission to these institutions, none could be provided.
Communication throughout the process was extremely poor. Trying to get hold of the F&I representative who represents Future Car Finance was a constant struggle. Promised return calls never happened, and when I eventually managed to make contact, very little assistance was provided.
Overall, my experience felt like an ongoing battle with poor communication, lack of follow-through, and general incompetence. At the end of the process, all that remained was a credit enquiry against my name and complete dissatisfaction with the service received.
If you plan on dealing with Future Car Finance, be prepared for significant delays and frustration. In my experience, the deal will not progress unless you simply accept the terms and rates from the one finance house they initially approach, rather than being given the opportunity to explore better options.
I was so happy with the service I received from your consultant and I am even willing to refer you clients. It is time saver yet very quickly to finalize. The warmth you showed to me is exceptional and I thank you for that.
They keep e-mailing you even though i used “UNSUBSCRIBE”. Also e-mailed them but ignored. They also text you. Non stop almost daily. Not a responsible company. Ignorant image.
I was financing a car with this company and had some unexpected life troubles and I asked for options and they were very rude over the phone and even said how it wasn’t there problem and they would still need payment . I even asked if I could pay half of my loan and then the other half a few weeks later and they denied it . The customer service for this company is horrible .
How do I get in contact with this company because the number provided does not work?
Avoid trading with this company because they'll later claim you were never a client, which shows they're not honest with their customers. I've had issues pending for two weeks, and nothing has been done about them as it's Paiva that's stable and promising in terms of all the services they offer to their customers.
To anyone thinking about making a deposit, please don't. Take it from someone who's been there and has been let down. I'll definitely be more careful with stuff like that next time. Paiva stepped in and turned my investments around-now I'm earning six figures.
This company recently approached me Andy Hoffman was his name he said the would retrieve money from a crypto platform that had scammed me after two weeks of bull he said he had a settlement of £107000 and asked me to set up a wallet to accept the funds his fee was initially 3% but suddenly went to 10% he placed a fake eth token into the account and was pursuing his 10% I told him it was fake and he called me a liar and did not trust me I think pot kettle black. Scammers cheats and liars
I’ve been dealing with this company over two years and I wish I never have went with them .. finance company from hell ! these people are rude disrespectful lacks any type of compassion.. without customers it is no company !
It's a loan company students, so obviously the repayment terms will be long with lots of interest.
They do what they say, and make sure you're aware of the terms of your loan before you take it.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Rude people that put the phone down on you because you tell them you don’t want a loan.
Ring back to speak to a manager and get hung up on every time.
Disgusting behaviour
Really really poor experience. Felt I was taken advantage of..not clear at all. Crazy interest rates and ripping off young people. Caused so much stress and debt affected my credit scores. Pls AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
This company does help you at the start to get the money you need but get back at you when paying it off.
Borrowed £10,000 back in 2016, paid back small amounts the first year then went up to £177 a month up to now. When I checked my balance recently, the value has gone up to £10,131 and goes up to £10,229 to settle the account!
Is there a way we can come together and take them to court? I’m sure they messed up a lot of peoples future including mine.
Some scenarios in which someone could reasonably pay off a future finance loan in the current financial climate:
Someone in your family dies
You win the lottery
You have rich family members offer to help you
After 4 years, I have finally paid off my loan. Thanks for dying Grandma, I guess.
Thank god they are no longer operating. This is a company that relied on desperate, vulnerable students doing anything they can to fund their studies and live. I had a loan of 4500GBP and over the course of 3 years, I have paid around 4000 in monthly payments. When I went to pay off my loan, my balance was still around 3500. At the time I took this loan out, I was depressed and grieving. I had taken a break from my course but was desperate to go back and had no other means of funding it. If I had been older, and in a better state of mind, I would never have taken this loan.
They have transferred to Asset Link Capital. I have no real experience with this company, other than they were helpful when I called to pay my loan off.
Good luck to anyone still stuck with this. I hope you are able to pay it off swiftly.
Wish there is an option for less than a 1 star. Took a loan in 2019 for total £12000 and had to pay back £27000, they are robbing people. Wish someone do an investigation against this company. They put me in a very bad situation, effected my mental health and now i am on depression medication.
This company preys on students who don't fully understand how loans work, and what is normal or abnormal for a loan.
I took out a loan with the assurance from lecturers that it's totally standard loan for students. I didn't understand the first thing about loans or small print, other than my government student loan. I have no parents or family who could help advise me or support me, I was putting myself through education.
I paid the monthly amount for several years (which starts the moment you get it, whilst studying) and immediately the interest started on the entire amount.
After several years of struggling to pay, the total amount had increased. I started to realise I would have this debt my entire life, as there's no way I could pay faster than the interest rose.
They sent regular emails about the interest rates increasing.
Then several things happened. I got sick, and ended up with a diagnosis of a lifelong, debilitating illness which meant I could not continue with the job I took my degree for (which the loan was ironically for), covid hit which further affected my income and health, and I ended up missing some payments.
I contacted them and explained all of this. They wanted personal details about my health which I provided, and my income, which I provided. They then sent an email which basically translated to "sucks to be you".
I had a very small amount on an overdraft (£300) due to prioritising FF payments, which I had a plan to pay off and was making the payments each month for.
I sought financial advise and was told if I can't pay both proportionately then I cannot pay either off. I contacted the bank and they froze the amount and said that they would write it off, just like that. A bank. Let that sink in.
FF sold my debt to a collection agency (which usually means the new company owns it, companies who buy a lot of high risk debt for a small amount and high reward on the few they collect). They did not notify me of this, I just started getting very aggressive emails and DAILY calls from another random company. Then I continued also getting correspondence after a few months from FF too. I was confused.
I asked what the situation was and who I owe now. They weren't forthcoming. Financial advisors said this goes against creditor guidelines and is v bad practice.
At this point, I had a couple of years of daily stress and worry, harassment and obfuscation. I couldn't cope and had a serious mental health episode where I was off work for several months.
Eventually, someone close to me decided I had to get help. They contacted legal advice for me and it all got sorted out.
I had to get a DRO. This is a huge deal in terms of my credit records, for years. But I had so little month I could barely afford food, and I could no longer cope or work out how to ever get out of this situation. I was having panic attacks over this stupid financial situation.
After the DRO ended, FF started chasing my AGAIN. Even though I let them know what was happening, provided dates and evidence that the debt was no longer enforceable. I couldn't believe it. This is not legal. It took me sending some legally advised letters for them to back off.
Do not ever, EVER use this company.
I started off a naive but confident student. I studied diligently and had well thought out plans for future payments. I had never been in debt before, except strategically small amounts to build a good credit profile. I had no idea things would end up like this. Years of intense stress. They are genuinely heartless, and that's compared to a bank.
TL;DR: AVOID!!!!!! NOTHING is worth the horrendous stress and poverty this will bring. Life ruining debt.
Avoid at all costs. I took out a £2k loan to help with a shortfall of my MSc fees. This was in December 2019 and now I still owe £2k. I have paid £1,500 in interest while my balance remains the same.
This is criminal! I've been on and off medication for my mental health, I've had to avoid paying other bills so that these thieves can have their money and it's put me in such a bad position that I often have arguments with my wife about money but FF do not give a toss about you. I have 5 emails in a week about the SONIA interest and my repayments just keep going up and up and up. I tried asking them where my money is going and looking at the schedules, £1 in £40 is going towards the principle, while £39 is going on interest. They won't let you pay any more off the principle.
I think the Financial Ombudsman should investigate this company fully.
During my time at univeristy i struck upon future finance. I was completely vulnerable and was in need to fund myself for university hence why i took out the loan. I was 17 at the time and having known about the interest rate i wouldve never took out the loan. The dilemma i have today is that i am paying £203 a month and i am still in university. My younger brother had passed away recently and as i asked futurefinance to freeze my account they told me that inevitably there is no point as i will still be paying interest. Now the company has been put to rest my details have been transferred to Asset link LTD which i know nothing about on whether the same interest of the loan applies to them aswell. Having read all the awful reviews on future finance i feel that the payments are never-ending unless i can pay a lumpson of £8000. The payment plans are of no use and this is a company that you should all be made aware of. My purpose of this review is not to express how terrible this company is but an advice to someone that is in need of money at the age of 16/17. Do not take out any loans! because the time you do youll be behind on other bills that you are supposed to be paying. This company will suck you high and dry. Your wages will be depleted massively. You wont have money for yourself. Be aware of the scams. Also if anyone can provide me on the interest rates for the company future finance transferred themselves to that would be much appreciated.
