Our experience with GD was terrible.

Communication was consistently poor, responses were extremely slow, and we often had to chase repeatedly for the most basic updates. The process became far more stressful and time-consuming than it needed to be.

There were points where we genuinely believed the purchase of our house was at risk because of their delays and lack of communication.

Although their fees were slightly cheaper, the “saving” was nowhere near worth the stress, frustration, and extra work they created for us. We would absolutely not use this firm again and would not recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable conveyancing service.

They submitted a competitive quote and after speaking with them they gave me the confidence to allow them to proceed with my sale. I was allocated a case handler/ fee earner -- Abdul Iqbal -- who was excellent throughout and he kept me fully updated / informed as necessary. I made a big mistake choosing GD Legal for a chain-free sale. The solicitor's slow communication and significant errors, including missing a crucial action, caused major issues resulting in the loss of the sale.

Sold my house with GD which was ok (just) so decided to stick with what you know to buy, bad mistake, unanwsered emails for weeks on end, fobbed off on the phone dealt with 3 different solicitors all round bad experience would i recommed no..

Warning – Do Not Use This Firm

We instructed GD Legal to handle the legal work for a buy-to-let property purchase, which was unregistered at the time. Despite paying them to resolve this, more than two years later the property is still not registered.

Due to the lack of progress and communication, we escalated the matter to the Financial Ombudsman. GD Legal paid compensation following our complaint, but the core issue remains unresolved.

As a result, we are still unable to secure a mortgage on the property, leaving us in a very difficult financial position.

This situation has caused significant stress and financial hardship. I would strongly advise others to avoid using this firm.

Excellent service from start to finish, they dealt with both the sale of our property and the purchase of the new one. Communication was perfect, we new at every stage of the process where we were and what the next steps were going to be. Highly recommend. Thank you Abdul and Shahla for your professionalism.
