Credit where credit is due

Credit where credit is due. Goldstar.es @ Alicante Airport has vastly improved its customer service. No longer it appears to be a ‘pitch battle’ over the insurance from commission driven desk staff at Alicante Airport. Even my UK based car hire excess insurance cover is no longer ridiculed! No more arguments about who covers the vehicle in the case of breakdown insurance. Alicante Airport desk staff are now much more friendly and helpful as opposed to treating you like a ‘walking ATM machine’. Excellent congratulations please keep up the good work

Awful service

Awful service. I pre booked a taxi for 7:40 to take me to the train station. When waiting for the taxi to arrive drivers kept accepting the job then cancelling it I presume. I spoke to the office twice they just said they would send someone but didn’t and at 7:45 I had to give up and cancel so I didn’t miss my train.

Hidden charges and double charging

Hidden charges and double charging. I booked through CarJet and was clear about pick up and drop off times. The quoted price was stated. Then they added $100 worth of fees when I picked up and dropped off - without properly telling me about them. Do not use them. They also double charged me for petrol (they did refund this, but only after I caught them). Car was dirty too. Keep away.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Goldstar Cars. Unfortunately, I have faced the same issue twice, which shows a clear lack of improvement.
The communication is not professional at all. Emails are ignored, responses are delayed, and when it comes to cancellations and refunds, the situation becomes even worse. It genuinely feels like customers are forced to chase repeatedly without getting clear answers.
In particular, a staff member called Jackie was very unprofessional in her email communication. I had to call multiple times just to get a response, and emails were repeatedly ignored.
This company seriously needs to improve its customer service standards. Proper staff training and better communication are essential if they want to maintain trust and provide a reliable service in the future.

I have been a loyal customer since 2019. I gave them a lot of businesses. Some businesses do not understand the beauty of loyalty. I booked a taxi on the NYE at 9 pm, and the lady told me 8.50 on the phone, but they charged me £9.00. I am not crying over 50P, but it's the honesty. My daughter checked with UBER Aap, and it came to £4.97. I have already booked with the GS, so I did not want to cancel it. When I came back at 3:45 AM, they charged me £8.00. Why was the difference? Would I use GOLD STAR again? The answer is NO.. You have LOST a very LOYAL customer.

Was charged £8 for 0.3 miles the taxi driver attempted to charge me £10 when I refused and said I want to put a report in he rang gold store he also let them know that he switched the meter off and accused me of getting clever! This upset me! How dare he speak to me in this way after all he was robbing me! The price of the fair should have been £3.60

What a shit service this company gives!!, said they’d be 10 mins but turned up 30 mins later, which in turned caused my daughter to miss an appointment, if they had told me theyd be 30 mins I would have ordered a different taxi company, but we all know they say 10 mins just to take peoples money robbers, guess honesty and value doesn’t apply to these guys

Ignorant and arrogant

The operators seem to listen to the order, confirm and then mess verything up: wrong time, different address, payment method, etc. Ignorant and arrogant. Happened to me several times. I'll do my best to avoid in the future.

Poor service

I got a taxi from asda in town to the range in boongate charged me £6 rang office they said they will take £1 off my next booking when I rang for return journey from the range to Welland the guy wasn't going to give me the discount got it in the end then yet again they put the wrong drop off address happened few times now I will not be using the taxis anymore as it getting a regular thing

Booked a taxi through the online app a couple of days in advance. Got a msg via the app cancelling the taxi. Rang Goldstar and the operator said they'd got the price wrong and hung up. Terrible service avoid at all costs
