Absolutely terrible. Rude unapologetic operator. Taxi was 50 or so minutes late with no warning or update even though they were booked 3 hours prior on a Tuesday. I rang this morning to get a taxi from my sons school to the train station. I specified on the phone I needed to get to the train station at particular time. The women I spoke to didn't mention that the taxi wouldn't make it there on time. I am worse off by £10 had I known I would of waited for my bus. Life is hectic I can't afford paying trips unercerly, the worse is when I called to talk to the women again, she wouldn't give me her name, when I asked for the manager she said she was the manager. Worse customer service they are easy to take the money but their level of customer service is shocking. I work in retail myself I will feel ashamed if I acted that way. I would never use your service any longer, shame as the drivers are nice.

I had a very unpleasant experience with an older Goldstar taxi driver earlier this week. Due to the 30 minutes delay of the airplane arriving, the usual taxi fare fee of Gbp 17.00 had been increased. I can accept that, but what I don't accept is on top of the more expensive fare of Gbp 22.00, the taxi driver took it upon himself to inform me upon arrival the fare was Gbp 25.00. I paid him in cash and only noticed the incorrectness when I received the invoice by email from Goldstar. I would like to point out that the taxi driver NEVER informed me of the increase of the taxi fare beforehand, which should also have taken place when I entered the car. I have been in touch with Goldstar who immediately correctly responded; sadly their taxi driver gives a different storyline. Needless to say: I will never use Goldstar again. It is not so much about the Gbp 3.00 as such, but the fact that this taxi driver blatantly deceives customers.
I hired a car in Nice
I hired a car in Nice, France with Goldstar/Rhodium car hire. Upon arrival, there was a very large queue to get to their customer service. An hour later, I went through all the paper checks that I had already completed most of online... Then they announce they have a car, and that they would recommend taking out the extra insurance. Ok, so who wants to pay a lot or be sued in the event of an accident? Not me, so I take out the extra insurance at a cost of over £200 for 5 days - more than the cost of hiring the car in the first place.
Then my flight gets cancelled and I need to extend the car hire. I called Goldstar who tell me to call the broker - Ace Rentals in the USA. I called Ace Rentals and after an hour (and £25 in call charges) they transferred me back to Goldstar in France. Goldstar then tell me that I have to come back into the airport to extend the contract. I drive to Nice airport and after queuing again... am told to end the current contract and take out a new contract. Best to do this online, where I find they have no cars available. AWFUL service. I went to another more established and reliable car hire service, who provided me with all I needed without any fuss. I will never use Goldstar again and if you are reading this, I would suggest you do the same.
