Nearly 3 year old tyres sold as “new”

Nearly 3 year old tyres sold as “new”
I bought tyres expecting new stock but received tyres manufactured almost three years earlier. The manufacturing date was not clearly disclosed at purchase.
Customer service dismissed my concern, stating there is no legal restriction and calling the 36 month limit just an “industry guideline.” This ignores what customers reasonably expect when buying new tyres.
Very disappointed with both the product and the response. I would not recommend this company.

Good price, slow delivery

On a positive note, the tyres were competitively priced. However it took 11 days from my order to receive the goods. Even accounting for the Christmas period, I believe this was excessive. Most responses to my questions as to when I may receive tge tyres appeared to be standard
Good price, sliw delivery and never really answered the query.

Extremely disappointed with the level…

Extremely disappointed with the level of service ,
Placed a order on Friday the 5th of December , goods arrived in Ireland on the 14th December via GLS , its now the 20th of December and still no tires.
Don't waste your time on the WhatsApp as its AI and you only get a response to say they have created a ticket , At this stage I must have more tickets than the lotto. !
I have contacted Grip500 3 times and no response via my account.
Contacted GLS by email , GLS sent reply saying they are very busy and to expect delays. When you try to phone customer care they just knock you off after voice mail saying they are busy and try again later.

At the end of the day I purchased from Grip500 and its their responsibility to get the goods delivered.
What I don't understand is the goods are in Dublin since 14 and delivery is Dublin.

Slow Delivery, missing goods, dumb AI, awful communications.

I ordered on 2 December, Delivery was supposed to take a few days but it took a 6 days before I even got tracking information, and then is took another 9 days for the first package containing 2 tyres to arrive. The other package disappeared on GLS website.

GLS don't answer their phones and Grip500.ie don't even have a phone number. Their WhatsApp is an AI which refuses to escalate to a human. There's no option to interact with a human, and their response time is next day at best.

So after more than 2 weeks I've received half the order which I've fully paid for, and I can't get a human or even a machine response to tell me where the other half of my order is, or whether I'll receive it at all.

If they'd actually delivered my complete order they would have had a customer for life as the price is good for the quality. But the price is irrelevant when the goods aren't delivered.

—edit 19/12/2025 in response to the AI response below. I already had a ticket open in relation to the missing package, and they had already (before the AI posted the response below) responded to my complaint asking for photos of the goods delivered in their original packaging along with a photo with the carriers label. The AI asked me to send a photo of the thing which never arrived....

Around 8 October I purchased online…

Around 8 October I purchased online continental eco contact 6 for my Duster. After 10 days I got in touch with seller and ask them to give me update on my purchase. Unfortunately they didn't and took them another few days to contact a company who provided shipping. About 21 October I received four tyres continental with absolutely different classification. I was very disappointed as they waisted my time and money. Although I contacted them and asked to exchange the tyres. Nothing has been done. They kept emailing different emails with absolutely zero decisions. In the end I understand that they won't do anything and I opened a caes in PayPal. They kept playing stupid by asking for pictures and different info of shipping. I send them photos of tyres and shipping info. However, they never done anything and instead of asking me for more photos. I understand this is completely scam and advice to everyone to avoid this crowd. Fake, false, unreal.
