Ski helmet order

I ordered a ski helmet and was given an estimated delivery date, the item was delivered earlier than predicted. The company is in France but cant fault the service.

Waited a month, Jacket not in stock, missed delivery date, poor communication

Placed an order for a fleece jacket on 26th Jan. Received a refund on 24th Feb. They exceeded the delivery date and I enquired and they said on 16th Feb they were still waiting for it to come into the warehouse in approx. 3-4 days. I enquired again when still no word from them after that time had elapsed and they just refunded without comment. So a total waste of time and it is now no longer winter. Would not order from this company again.
Edit: they offered me a 10% discount on next order. Hmm.

We ultimately had to cancel the order and issue a refund as we could not guarantee a delivery date. We sincerely apologize for this waste of time and for the lack of proactive communication before the refund. 🌲

Parcel stuck in customs in France for 8…

Parcel stuck in customs in France for 8 days, missing documents. Hardloop not responding to emails requesting update and progress of delivery. No replies. I ordered from a British website but items coming from France customs and tax quoted as being included in the price but now concerning I ever receive the boots but have to return them if I’ll have to pay taxes again to return. Poor communication unable to contact anyone by phone, no replies to emails

Faulty item sent with heavy customs charges paid

"Extremely disappointed. I was sent a faulty item and had to pay £94 in customs charges just to receive it. While I accept responsibility for import fees on functional goods, paying nearly £100 in 'penalties' for a broken product is unacceptable. Customer service showed zero sympathy and refused to help with a refund or solution. I’m now out of pocket with nothing to show for it."

As explained during our private exchanges, we fully understand your frustration with this situation. However, it is important to remember that customs fees and import taxes are not collected or managed by Hardloop, but directly by the customs authorities of the country of delivery.
For this reason, we are unfortunately unable to refund these charges, even when the product received is defective.

However, as indicated in our email, you can contact DPD directly to request a possible refund of customs fees. By providing them with proof of your return (return completed), they will be able to review your request.
This process depends entirely on the carrier and customs services, but it can sometimes be successful.

For our part, we remain available to assist you with your efforts or answer any additional questions.

Good selection of high quality products…

Good selection of high quality products but note that they are outside the U.K. so shipping times are going to be much longer. Prices are great though. Return process is excellent and sorts all the customs forms etc. would use again.

Ordered a product showing as in stock

Ordered a product showing as in stock, got an email the following day to say it was actually out of stock and would be dispatched with 10 days. When it was dispatched, the parcel made it as far as being collected by the courier and then disappeared. Hard to blame Hardloop for the courier's failings, but how they then dealt with it was terrible. I never had a proactive update - had to chase every time, always to be told that the courier was investigating and that they wouldn't refund until this was completed. 6 weeks after the date of the last tracking update, Hardloop agreed to process a refund if the parcel was not located by an agreed date, only to not honour that and return to waiting for the couriers investigation. Gave up on dealing with Hardloop directly and have resolved by raising a PayPal case for a refund.

Not good. First and last order from them.

First time ordering from them. Not worth it. More than a week passed before they dispatch, then DPD lie about delivery attempts... Neither app was any help in getting information. And why do I need to get Rab clothibg via France anyway (customs clearing, etc.)

The products are top notch

The products are top notch, however you must bear in mind that if buying in the UK, there are import taxes to pay, so for example at the checkout if your order totals £200, you will have to pay a futher £60 to DPD in order to have the goods delivered. The website does make it clear that import duties may be applicable.

I ordered a Rab coat from Hardloop

I ordered a Rab coat from Hardloop, it was the cheapest I could find it. Despite the website being .co.uk it was shipped from France and took 14 days from ordering to arrival. It was perfect when it arrived, comms were not great, it was days before I heard anything from them. A satisfactory outcome but be aware of the delay in receiving your product.

Very poor customer service

Despite responding to my last review and advising that an email reply would be sent to fully address the VAT issue, I have heard nothing more from Hardloop. I would certainly not recommend this retailer as it seems that once they have your money they are not interested in dealing with any follow up issues. Clearly they do not value customers at all - at least not in the UK!
