⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding service from Michael at Boucher Road Store, Belfast.

My young adult son has been using the same headphones for almost seven years and is very attached to them because of exactly how they sound and feel. He is autistic, ADHD, has severe learning disabilities and incredibly sensitive hearing and auditory processing, finding headphones that work for him is not as simple as picking another pair off the shelf. Something that sounds perfectly fine to us can sound completely wrong to him.

Unfortunately, his much-loved headphones were starting to break, which was causing him a great deal of upset and distress and meltdowns. Although he had received a new pair for Christmas, no matter how much we tried to adjust the settings and sound through the app, we could not get them anywhere close to his old pair.

We visited the newly opened Harvey Norman on Boucher Road and, after becoming a little overwhelmed trying to work it all out ourselves, Michael, one of the managers, came over to help.

From that moment on, Michael was absolutely incredible. After I explained the situation, he showed such patience, understanding and genuine kindness. He took the time to help my son try different headphones, adjust settings and properly test them using his own favourite YouTube videos and music.

When nothing seemed quite right, I asked if we could go home and bring back both pairs of headphones and the iPad so we could properly compare the sound. Michael immediately said yes and told us to come back.

When we returned, Michael spent almost two hours helping us work through everything. He never rushed us, never made us feel like we were taking up too much of his time and never gave up trying to find a solution.

When it became clear that the Christmas headphones could not be adjusted to sound like the old ones, Michael had another idea. He suggested a pair that he thought might be a close replacement, set them up and even connected them to his own phone so my son could properly test them.

Within a minute, my son's face lit up. They sounded almost exactly like his old headphones, and after a little adjustment, they were perfect!

What stood out most was that Michael genuinely cared about helping my son. We were in the store for a long time, but he remained friendly, patient, kind and understanding throughout. He went far beyond what we expected and made what had become a very stressful and upsetting situation into one of huge relief and happiness.

The new headphones were also on sale, and Michael took the time to explain the warranty and aftercare before making sure they were set up exactly how my son liked them.

My son left relieved, happy and excited, and says all his Disney videos and music now sound perfect and even better than his old earphones.

And Michael has now officially been added to my son's list of “shop friends”! He loves making friends wherever he goes and likes to call in and say hello when we are passing, so that says a lot about how comfortable Michael made him feel and the connection they made that day.

Michael, thank you so very much. The time, patience, kindness and genuine understanding you showed us meant so much. You went above and beyond for my son, and he is already looking forward to seeing one of his new shop friends again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Honestly breath of fresh air. The decision to go with heavy norman was made easy due to other bed companies not being up to scratch in my eyes with the service. Brand in merry hill Dudley branch was fantastic, and so accomodating to my wife and myself. Can't give the guy enough praise, and helped us get the right deal. I went into Harvey Norman at the Merry Hill centre, Dudley, looking for a new TV. I had just left Currys, frustrated at their pushy sales staff who tried to sell rather than listen .
Harvey Norman was very different. I was served by a delightful young man called Jayden who asked intelligent questions regarding my viewing habits , and then made very good suggestions based on what was right for me, not because of prices. Because of Jayden’s excellent service I purchased a new TV and sound bar.

Mario and Demi have been really helpful in purchasing a new MacBook, including price matching and support with setting up the laptop and finance options. Offered us a fantastic deal with add ons included, super friendly more than happy to answer any questions! Could not be happier with the service I have had!

Tried purchasing a TV, after taking the money they told us it was out of stock in the UK and had to be shipped from Ireland, then they contacted us again saying that it was out of stock there too and they offered us one of the models they keep in display for the full price.
We asked for a discount, they only offered 10% we discussed it down to 20% however when we accepted they told us they were wrong and the model we wanted was not available and offered us a different one, still a display model for only 10% discount not willing to go any lower, bare in mind the TV was a more expensive one, the total price after the discount was higher then the starting price of the one we wanted.
We then asked for a refund and it's been 2 weeks and we still haven't got our money back.
We requested the refund on the 14th of August

We needed to replace our old Miele washing machine for which we had a replacement plan but wanted to view the options available in person rather than just online.
The Merry Hill branch carried a full stock range and the sales assistant Danyal Ali was extremely helpful in demonstrating the characteristics of the model range demonstrating his knowledge and providing advice suitable to our circumstances and deserves a mention as we purchased under our plan

2 guys brought mattress into room and took wrapper off and even raised the headboard to suit new mattress.

Ordered a tumble dryer which took over 3 weeks to a arrive. Then arrived broken, called the driver to come back to collect as advised by store for them to say no they are over 1 hour away, they left my property 20 minutes before hand. No collection available for another 4 weeks, no apology or offer of compensation or a send a new machine asap.

Ended up using the items warranty which was done very quickly but no help from the store itself.

We were about to buy new washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher. Normally this would have been an internet purchase, but with the huge choices/ price span available, thought we'd take asvantage of the new Sutton Coldfield HN store so we could touch and open doors on the products!
Steve was our salesguy and wasvery knowledgable on the various manufacturers, checked stock (we needed the washer quickly). We had a couple of chouces and went away to think it through over a coffee and check internet prices.
We decided that buying from a local store was worth the slightly higher price than internet sourced, placed the order Saturday afternoom, took deluvery Monday morning, with all old equipment removed, new equipment installed, tested and all waste removed.
The install crew were first class and eveeything was done in an hour.
Long review I know but key take aeays- there's nothing like seeing what you're buying- technical help/ advice is very worthwhile/ paying a bit more for great service is worth it.

A fab store and great product, but for us dealing with Davy made this a stand out buying experience. Down to earth, not too pushy but yet seemed to appear everytime we had a question! He did us a great deal and made everything so straightforward. After we ordered he kept in regular contact with updates, and even fixed an issue (my fault) at the very last minute when he really didn’t have to. Perfect example of someone going above and beyond, and a credit to Harvey Norman ⭐️ Thanks Davy!
