I purchased a T800 Model kit from Hattons and I needed some assistance with the model. Hattons when above and beyond to help we way past anything that was necessary. You don't get many businesses who are this passionate about customer care anymore so it's an amazing surprise to find a company so great, I will 150% be using them again for my next model purchases.

For those that gave a negative review or less than five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really think you have selected the wrong company for your review Hattons couldn't be any better if they tried. So for all those thinking of ordering from Hattons I strongly advise it and disregard the negative nancys on here you won't regret it 👍

I ordered a very hard to find railway model as a birthday gift for my son. As there was only one pre-owned item available and I had been looking for this particular model for some time, I just ordered it, even though I knew it would be difficult for me to receive it as I am out of the house every day from 7 am until 7 pm. I also due to the particular set-up of my workplace, don't have any internet access during my working hours and so would not have been able to communicate with DBS once the item was dispatched. I called the Hatton's Model Railways helpline and spoke to Mr Christov Brooks-Brown, who went out of his way to solve my problem. He was incredibly helpful, friendly and patient and gave me several options to arrange a successful delivery.

Ordered a 'Pre owned' item - when it arrived it was obvious it had not been checked prior to sending - it did not match description due to a number of major and obvious defects - in fact it was basically fit for the dustbin. Used their returns process - item cost was refunded but not the postage costs - so it has cost me £5.65 to not get an item! I will not be using Hattons again.

Always had good service except once when 2nd hand BAchmann dmu item arrived with live connection/adaptor missing - they could not provide one when asked by me ….BUT. BAchmann bless them did FOR FREE .

Excellent model shop. Prompt and professional service. Parcel very well packed. Item exactly as described.

I bought a Hattons original class 66 with sound fitted from Hattons just under 2 years ago, brilliant model BUT the motor developed a fault. Unfortunately Hattons do not sell and cant source any spare parts which means the loco us notw scrap, £265 down the drain. My advice is DO NOT BUY HATTONS ORIGINAL LOCOS, they are life limited....a very short life at that

Very pleased with the 009 flatbeds you sent. Good value Peco models.
Just a tad dissapointed that they arrived in a box that would hold 20 of these items.

Bought a Freelance N Gauge electric locomotive over the phone. Excellent customer service, most helpful, efficient despatch, arrived within 48 hours! Extensive website with concise descriptions.

I pre-ordered some Austin champs 6 or 7 seven months ago ETA FEB 22. I have been placing other items in the Trunk and kept them there whilst hanging on for the champs.
You informed me on Saturday of a delay and possibly could be later in year ,no problem.
I then instigated the trunk items to be sent, I was informed the following Monday that they were despatched and I would receive them on the Wednesday .
Would you believe it you were right arrived on time the models I purchases are in excellent pre owned condition, and well packed .
First class service very impressed one happy customer Thank you all

I placed an order on the 14/12, one item was out of stock, which I was unaware of. I rang Hattons, it was unlikely that the item would be in, in time for Christmas. I was quite happy to wait, Hattons would send the item when in stock. When placing my order I paid £4 postage. The item is now in stock and a another postage of £2.75 is being charged. This is totally unacceptable. I cancelled the remaining part of my order as I was not prepared to pay more postage on an existing order. I hope never to use Hattons again. I would NOT recommend.

I wanted a rack of Mark 3 carriages for my layout. I looked at several suppliers' websites but most quickly found what I wanted on the Hattons site. Ordering was straightforward and delivery was very prompt.

Purchased a hattons class 66 a month ago. One of the axle boxes broke off during postage. I contacted the team at hattons and they were really helpful and said that I can send it to the store to be fixed. Once received by the shop it was fixed that same day at returned back to me with express delivery. My overall experience was really positive. I have been a customer of hattons for many years and have never had an issue. Definitely will shop there again soon!!
