Returning customer
I have used Hippo in the past and been very happy with their service. I find it convenient and easy to use and better than a skip if you don't have too much to dispose of but too much to manually take to the tip.
Process is easy - bag arrives in the post - and a few clicks when you are ready and collection is arranged.
Happy to recommend and would definitely use again.

From the start when I phoned Hippo the lady I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. The bag was delivered the following day which meant the clear out could be done at the weekend and I booked the collection on the following Monday and it was collected 4 days later. All in all I was very happy with the service and would 100% recommend Hippo

When they're good their great but ...
I've used Hippo a few times, mostly they have been excellent, quick to deliver and collect. Their call centre staff are always polite and helpful. However I'm currently working on a project that will require a total of three bags. The first was collected quickly and without a problem. For the second collection I followed up on day four of the collection window and was advised that it would be collected on day five of the five day aimed collection window at the earliest.
Unfortunately the lorry turned up later on day four when I was momentarily out. This shouldn't have been a problem but on this occasion the driver judged the bags position might mean it would snag a ranch style fence rail and aborted the collection. Fair enough, but there was no call and as the collection was a day earlier than expected I wasn't in.
Now I'm back to square one in another potential five day wait for collection and in the meantime unable to fill the next bag as it needs to sit in the same position on my driveway.
So, when Hippo are good they are great, but I think in this day and age communication could be improved - lots of other delivery agents can keep you updated on when deliveries / collections will happen and where their vehicles are in relation to you.
