HP deserves zero stars for the…

HP deserves zero stars for the absolutely terrible experience I’ve had with them and their products. My encounter with their service has been nothing but a nightmare from start to finish, and I feel compelled to share just how awful it’s been. Here’s why:

RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED REPAIRS
They quoted me £400 to fix a laptop that costs £178 brand new! Let that sink in. When I asked why on earth they thought this was acceptable, their response was rude and completely unprofessional. It’s like they don’t care about their customers at all.

EXTENDED COVER THAT MEANS NOTHING
I paid for three extra years of extended cover—what a joke. Now, when the laptop needs repairs, they’re still demanding I pay. What’s the point of selling extended cover if it doesn’t actually cover anything?

A LAPTOP THAT BREAKS CONSTANTLY
This is the THIRD time this laptop has broken down. And now, after all this hassle, HP sent it back to me without even bothering to fix it. It’s completely unusable, but they don’t seem to care.

RUDE AND INCOMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
Let’s not even get started on their phone staff. Rude, unhelpful, and clearly couldn’t care less about resolving the issue.

This whole ordeal has left me with some serious questions:

Why does HP even sell extended cover if it doesn’t actually do anything? Where’s my refund for that useless purchase?
Why hasn’t HP replaced this defective laptop after its repeated failures? It’s clearly not fit for purpose.
Why is their staff so disrespectful and dismissive when customers reach out for help?
A reputable company would stand behind its products and take care of its customers, but HP has failed miserably. They’ve wasted my time, my money, and my patience. If you’re thinking about buying an HP product—DON’T. Save yourself the frustration.

HP, you need to step up and either replace this broken laptop or give me a full refund. Until then, I’ll be making sure everyone knows just how terrible your products and service are. Avoid at all costs!

Goodbye £645

I ordered a computer on 14th November and the money left my account instantly. I was told it was next day delivery but absolutely nothing has arrived and I've had no communication for nearly three weeks. When I've tried to ring HP there's been no apology and they've insisted it's been lost by Parcel Force and a new computer is on its way. But no emails to confirm this and no sign of the computer. Absolutely shocking.

Such a pity

Such a pity, HP support used to be excellent, now it is less than useless. They simply don't respond, when they do, they say they will put you through to a more appropriate person. They don't, you are put on hold again. There on line support is hopeless, nothing useful.
I am shocked by how bad they are now. It has put me off ever buying any HP product again.

good Laptops VERY POOR REPAIR SERVICE

# We have a number of HP notebooks. They range from a touch pen Envy, to a Pavillion i7's.
They are great machines, but the Customer Service for the repair service you get from HP in the UK is sxxx/ not good.
# First they direct you to a WhatApp Link. Then they use a voice agent which is also sxxx!/ not good. Keeps getting it wrong.
# Eventually, The call is then directed to India where the telephine line & understanding is not good and the call disconnected twice. Eventually an agent called Radika took some details, using a video link to take a picture of the damage, great OK.
I asked for a case number 13118 - xxxx
# They then transfered me to Sales had to wait on the line for another 15 minutes for another agent (sales).
" please hold while we connect you"
# I was evetually conected to a chap in Tunisia, whom went through the standard terms & conditions and provided a quote for the repair (R&R).
I asked for the quote number: 1548XXX
By this time, I still did not have confirming email from HP with the case number or the quote number.
The chap in Tunisia said I will get a quote within 24 hours.
( He kindly provided me with an email address should I not get the quote, which was outside the SOPs.)
# I am still waiting for the quote. This call took 52 minutes of contact time let alone the wait time.
# By the way most of the information they asked for is on an HP account (global US) with all the pc details at:
support.hp.com..gb-en..dashboard..device
# The next day, I got the quote for pick up, repair & return for 415 gbp. Which I though was a bit steep to repair a cracked working screen (with a new screen).
# I declined the quote and got a local reparier to repair for 115 gbp.

Purchased HP Envy Move AIO for my…

Purchased HP Envy Move AIO for my disabled daughter. Unlike single review I found on HP UK website I can only say my experience has been excellent. HP envy move beautifully built and designed computer. My disabled daughter uses with great ease. Touch screen brilliant. Battery life very good at 3-4 hours. A fast capable 5i 16gb ram machine. Highly recommended.

Poor quality HP laptop, HP Printer and customer support

Purchased an HP laptop, it was the worst piece of equipment I have ever used. Also purchased an HP printer, poor quality, first cartridge change and a piece of plastic on the refill broke. Tried to get technical support to see if they would replace it and cannot find a telephone number. The chat function on their website also isn't working when I try to connect to it.

HP Instant Ink service -
Since subscribing to the service, it's cheaper for us, as heavy user, as buying individual ink cartriges is expensive! Also, it's free delivery and best part is I don't need to keep an eye on ink levels as HP is very prompt in sending them.
Yes, the price has gone up for the service however it's the convenience that matters when you are a heavy user.

Poor build quality

We've used HP laptops for our business for years and ordered a new one a couple of weeks ago. It keeps overheating and shutting itself down. We must be at fault for using the Internet or Word I suppose... no, that was a joke, much like HP who have obviously been skimping on build quality for years. Folks, let the free market do its work and shop elsewhere.

Pathetic service

Pathetic service.
I am very very disappointed with the service from HP. I received my laptop on 13th March 2024, which was damaged. I called them and asked for replacement and returns label. Took them good few days to send it after I called everyday for returns label. Now its been few weeks and still no sign of replacement. I have been calling so many times but all I hear is we will give priority to your order. They haven't got a clue what priority means I think. I am still waiting and waiting. Pathetic and disappointing company. Please do think twice before you place an order with this company. I would not recommend HP to any of my friends and family.

Purchased Printer in December 2023

Purchased HP Printer in December 2023 and last month it went wrong, so they sent me a recondition one (not a new one) with some ink, that one was faulty so they sent another recondition one without ink, the problem is you cannot put the old ink in the recondition printer,
so, I just been told i have to wait 6 to 8 days for the ink to come.
As the printer was only two-month-old i should been sent a new replacement not repaired one, as it turns out was faulty as well

Never buy a HP printer

HP's business model is to tie you in to buying their expensive ink - Instant Ink is a huge scam. Once you subscribe, your printer will not work with non-HP cartridges.

HP used to be a good brand - avoid.

Terrible customer service. Over a week no delivery!

No customer service and extremely slow delivery!

I have placed my order on 23rd on December.

Now it's 30th of December. No order, impossible to contact customer service.

Is it getting shipped from China? So now what, I get my order next year?

Over 10 days UK delivery !!! Shocking.

Once mighty now the fallen

It is such a shame that a company that was so well respected that I studied them at University has fallen this far. Their printers are the absolute pits. I bought an all in one desktop 2720e and it has been plagued with problems. It hardly ever works when you need it to print and involves numerous on/off attempts to get it working on either my windows or Mac machine.

To add insult I signed up for the “instant ink” and paid £3.99 a month, received a handful of cartridges (great) and after that nothing. The worst part being that when you cancel the subscription they block the cartridges (that you paid for) from working !!! Talk about ransoming the customer

So I am now stuck with printer that doesn’t work at all

So many big companies HP, Sandisk, UPS etc don’t care about the customer and don’t even read their reviews on Trustpilot

The Absolute Worst!

I first arranged to have my PC repaired 2 weeks ago. It came back a few days later and had not been repaired the same issue remained. I spoke to agents via Whatsapp and they arranged to have it collected and repaired again. I just got the PC back and it is still not repaired, it does not even turn on now! How is this level of incompetence possible in such a large company as HP?! What kind of lazy incompetent people are employed in the so called repair department?! I tried contacting someone on Whatsapp and no one is responding. I phoned and selected for someone to text me, no one has! I have never known such bad incompetent service and will certainly never buy another HP product ever again!

Update: 10th November
Still no one has contacted me despite me contacting them several times. Over 2 weeks waiting for someone to resolve their incompetence at failing to repair my PC twice! They clearly don't care at all about their customers and I advise everyone never to buy an HP product!

Don't waste your time with HP.com

Trying to buy a product from HP.com but no reply from any of their listed UK sales support numbers. They must be losing hundreds of potential new customers. My experience today along with the numerous negative posts on Trustpilot tells me that their customer service set-up would be pathetic if I needed to contact them. I will therefore avoid HP.com like the plaque and buy elsewhere. When will companies realise the importance of customer care.

Excellent product, good aftersales and customer support

I bought a HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC about a year ago, the product is excellent and I was extremely pleased with my purchase for alomost a year until the LCD display came off from one corner and was slightly sticking out from the frame. Since the product was still under warranty, I arranged for it to get picked and sent to HP for repair or replace with absolutely no costs for me. The whole screen was replaced and I got the laptop back in a week, the repair is flawless and the laptop has been cleaned spotless ! Though, I was slightly unhappy because I did not get back my laptop charger which I sent with the laptop in the first place so I called HP and they arranged for the charger to be sent to me in a couple of days. Overall a good experience, mostly because the product is excellent quality.

HP ENVY x360 screen come apart

I have HP ENVY x360 in my possession, bought in May 2021 so the laptop is just about two years of normal domestic use and the screen just came apart at the right corner when I was trying to close it. I find it very strange and frustrating given the age of the laptop. This laptop in my view is coming short of the satisfactory quality I was expecting and it is definitely not fit for purpose, given the price I paid. I find this issue highly unacceptable for the age of the laptop and its normal daily use. I would expect HP to take accountability for this issue as I have seen they already have a class lawsuit in the US for the same. Customer service is far from helpful. Waited half a day on WhatsUp until someone was willing enough to respond to my query. Offered me two solutions, for which I would have to pay from my own pocket, despite the fact that the laptop is substandard quality to what was advertised. Now I have to wait days for you to respond with a repair quote...This is a really bad joke!!! On top of everything else, my laptop stopped charging a few days after so I have just lost access to my personal documents... HP!!! stand up to your promises of a great quality of product and service!!!..so far your service has been the same as the quality of the laptop: overhyped and substandard...

HP DeskJet 4120e HP+ All-in-One Printer

Faulty printer, software bugged, it was a nightmare as bought before Christmas, spoke to them in Jan 2023 reported the problem, no technical help offered simply to restart the machine and remove the software and download again. Did that, didn't work, in the meantime I bought a new printer so had asked them for return and refund, they declined.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICES, should be sued for misleading customers and not in breach of their own set up contract with the customers.
