Excellent HGV Training – Highly Recommended

I trained with Liam for my HGV licence and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Liam is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and professional, making everything easy to understand even if you’re new to HGV driving.

The training was well-structured, calm, and confidence-building. Liam explains things clearly, focuses on safety, and gives practical tips that really help on test day and beyond. The vehicle was well maintained and the whole process felt organised and stress-free.

I passed thanks to the high standard of training and would highly recommend J Coates to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality HGV training.

A big thanks to Simon for helping me pass my Cat D test this afternoon.
His coaching and support was very much appreciated. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor.

Kelly is absolutely professional, patient and ensures to fine tune your areas of weaknesses. I have been lucky to have her as my instructor and thankful to her for transforming me into a confident driver on the road. Highly recommend!

My experience with J Coates was awesome. I passed my C+E first time thanks to great instruction from Kelly and Simon.

Good training and good delivery on subject matter 👍

Chris made the course very enjoyable his knowledge is excellent couldn’t ask for a better person to do my cpc course with.

I found the CPC course was very easy to follow Chris the tutor was very knowledgeable and made the course a pleasure to be on.

Jcoates have a great instructor by the name of Kelly within the Leicestershire branch.

She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable while learning to drive a rigid. The feedback from her was clear and precise. Due to her coaching I was able to pass my tests first time. I can't thank her enough.

I would highly recommend Jcoates to anyone wishing to enhance their driving career.

Would like to thank J Coates ( HGV Services ) Ltd for helping me pass my C E HGV licence at first attempt. A big ‘thank you’ to Alec Steer for organising my courses, his colleagues at Melton for helping and guiding me through my reversing course and especially Liam Daisley for the 5-day practical driving course - for his patience, advice, and guidance, and calm approach at what is a somewhat challenging and sometimes stressful time.
Thanks again
Robert

Had a great experience learning at their St Albans branch. Lewis is a great instructor, patient, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He really put me at ease when I started, considering I’d never driven a hgv before. He taught me from start to finish and guided me through every step. His experience and knowledge is second to none. I passed first time with only one minor, all thanks to him. A real asset.
If your thinking of getting into the world of hgv driving, I’d highly recommend J Coats, they book your medical and theory tests for you and are very helpful with any other questions you may have.

I’d like to shout out Liam who has supported me through my training. Thank you

I used J Coates for my class 2 training and with everything step of the way, from my medical, booking and passing my theory and hazard perception tests with the learning guides supplied, through the reverse training and eventually on to my driving test, was done to the highest professional level.
Front Alec, through to Liam, who taught me to drive professionally and patiently, was a credit to this company.
I passed both my theory and hazard perception tests with high scores and my driving test with zero minors.
This was all achieved thanks to the guy's at J Coates and I would thoroughly recommend this company for all aspects of driver learning.

I had a great experience with J Coates. My instructor Kelly Swift was very knowledgeable and made me feel calm and confident during both the 3a and 3b training and tests. Highly recommend!!!

From no experience to a pass first try, couldn’t recommend enough. Sorted all my medical, theory test and practical training quickly through email. My instructor Kelly was amazing, I had no previous experience in a large vehicle but her patience, support and guidance gave me the skills and confidence I needed. I started training on the Wednesday and passed my test on the Friday. Thank you all at J Coates.

JCOATES stands out. And Simon's experience is so fantastic to propel career into success. Simon, thanks for your guidance, encouragement and tolerance.
And a very big thank you to Andrew (MD JCOATES) for your selfless support and services, I'm much grateful. I'm happy today because of the wonderful training company and the fantastic people assisting me passing my HGV C+E license at ease. Thanks ones again the good job 👏

The instructors at J Coates are a great bunch of guys and very patient and knowledgeable throughout. Tristan was a big help for my class 1 reversing training but despite the help I just couldn’t get my head around it. I had to resit and Lewis continued and we got it done. Both helped with that.

Then on to my week with Lewis teaching me how to drive the class 1. Great week with a great instructor keeping everything simple and to the point in teaching how to do things. Encouraging all week but when it’s needed he kicks your arse to do the right things. A good balance which I needed. I passed my class 1 first time round.

I'm brand new into the world of HGV and J Coates have looked after me very well. Alec Steer has guided me through the requirements, the reversing course team were super flexible when I forgot my licence & let me fetch it and Liam Daisley, my instructor was really superb. Calm and friendly instruction really put me at ease. Would recommend them if you need any HGV training
