Just expect for them to have problems...

Just expect for them to have problems always, they don't deliver at the stipulated times, they can cancel your order anytime, initiate refund without your consent. Usually they try to deliver twice before cancelling the order, but they can decide to ignore this regulation. It's difficult to contact them, you must use the live chat and their contacts are only for placing orders, if you have a query it's so difficult to speak directly to an agent. Jumia Food is not like this at all, so it annoys me that every time I have a problem with jumia it's from their Jumia Store.

Jumia is a big scam do not purchase anything from them. I ordered a marble dinning table and six chairs from them since Jan 2022 for 250,000 Naira, This is Aug 2022 no delivery, When I called the customer service do not know what they are doing. They do not have information on previous conversation. Jumai refuse to return my money.
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM all the way is jumia.
Any good review for jumia are paid reviewer

Jumia is the worst site you will order from my advice to everyone don’t use Jumia for any order. I ordered a safe of 240k they deliver a wine in a box and 4 Titus and I called the delivery guy and he said ok if I check it’s not my own he will bring my own how can u deliver an item that is not even close to my house address and my item is more bulky than what u delivered so I have to check for what’s in the carton call u and tell u what’s in it then u decide if to deliver mine?? and I called the manager he cut the call on me. please no one should older from
Jumia. They are terrible this is the first and last time I will buy anything from them. BE WARNED.

Stole my money

Had very bad experience with them. Last order they did not deliver everything I ordered but charged me fully. The things that were delivered were fake and not the original brand that was advertised.

No customer service, no one to talk to, I feel deceived and abandoned.

Editing: Forgot to mention, it's not the first time that this happens, I think it's the 4th time that it happens. If you order more than 1 item, let's say 8, they send it in a box and you don't know what's inside until you pay, after paying you open a surprise box that may not contain all the items that you bought or fake instead of the original you paid for or used. All of the above happened to me. I don't think I'll be buying from them anymore, too many headaches and waste of time.

Worst Platform to sell as a seller.
At first I dispatched a sealed item,Package came back as returned item and guess what,the content was swapped.My item was stolen and JUmia didn’t take responsibility for that.

Now I dispatched similar item sealed,10days after delivery to the customer,the customer returned it used.Seal broken and came with a remark that he changed his mind and that item was correct but it didn’t fit.Guess what,he ordered 2 and returned just 1.

I raised a claim and to my surprise,Jumia denied the claim referencing a totally different order and claimed there was no network on the item.Jumia went ahead to tell me that I should be supplying only quality items thus claiming I supplied a bad product.Gues what,I have been on Jumia for more than 2 years and I have 100% score on quality.Same item has been soled 300 times on both Jumia and konga and no such issue in 3 years of selling the item.Thisbis an Amazon exclusive item in sealed packs.II have raised another claim challenging the previous resolution.Jumia even lied to me that the item was confirmed not to have network on Monday for an item that is already with me since the previous saturday.Worst is that I searched up the customer and only realized he left the country last Friday (1 day before I picked up the return).

Why should anyone continue to sell or buy on such a distrusted platform as Jumia?

Jumia is legit and good but have a very poor and dull delivery time

Jumia is legit and great. Their "Shipped from abroad" products are the best but be very careful and exercise caution when ordering from their "shipped from Nigeria" (mostly tagged "Official Store") products. The Nigerian stores sell substandard products but that's in a few cases though. "Shipped from abroad" products on Jumia is WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get).

On Delivery, Jumia's delivery of products shipped from abroad time is good if you don't want the product urgently because it takes up to 6 weeks. However, their Nigerian orders' delivery time is one of the poorest in the globe. They deliver products ordered from Nigerian stores within 14 days while other platforms would do the same in 3 to 5 days. Jumia uses a whole 7 days to package and ship products from stores within Nigeria and uses another 7 days to deliver the product to you. I ordered a phone I needed its use urgently from a Nigerian Store on their platform but they are using a whole lot more than 14 days to deliver it. I saw a 7 days of delivery of the product I ordered on their site's order page. So, don't ever be in a hurry when ordering from Jumia. It will be worth the price if you just walk straight to a physical store and buy the product you need urgently than ordering from Jumia, especially on products shipped from stores within Nigeria.

I'm about to purchase 5 iphone 13pro max before I rushed to review only for me to notice it's a scam I thank God I didn't put in my money I can only purchase stuff from jumia only if jumia Can add Escrow to they transaction which means people can buy stuff and escrow will hold the funds until the product is confirmed by the buyer and then buyer can confirm that he has received the order then escrow Can now release funds to jumia atleast a buyer should have security of they funds

Wouldn't let me pay for my order on…

Wouldn't let me pay for my order on delivery. Only to cancel the order 2 hours after I paid. Never ordering from here again, i'd rather go to the supermarket. Now i'd have to wait 7 business day because of their negligence.

jumai break the scam you are doing to your sellers in the name of low sellers scores, deepen your miserable hand into their money after you have had your commissions, some of us took loans but you are the only one eating it all. OLE NI YIN, RETURNS MY N65K taken within 2 wks after you already had your commissions. be responsible and honest, sellers are vulnerable because you hold our money before you paid us. you are in the position of trust but you are mis using it. Abolish LOW SELLERS CONTRIBUTION because is a scam, crime and wickedness to your sellers

Jumia is so annoying and more like fraudulent platform, I bought an iphone X that the battery does work for up to 2 hours and even if you are not using the phone the battery goes off on it's on I ordered for return this people that call themselves jumia returned it that after checking the product that my return is not accepted, am going to sue you people stupid company and everyone reading this beware of them doing business with them is at your own risk their useless customers agent will never pick up your calls and they threaten to take back your product with refunding you if you don't accept the fake stuff they send to you

Jumia cannot be trusted and do not deserve your business

The foundation of any business transaction, online or in person, is trust. This review captures how Jumia lost its trust in our eyes.
My father, who is an avid coffee drinker, recently purchased a brand new coffee maker (RUSSELL HOBBS BUCKINGHAM 1.25 L FILTER COFFEE MACHINE) to replace his old one on Jumia’s online platform.
His order arrived but to his utter disappointment, the delivered contraption was a mere shadow of what was advertised on the Jumia website. Several external segments of the coffee machine had glaring rust damage.
The root cause for the rust is non of my business. What’s clear however is that no customer should be culpable for a company like Jumia’s negligence. This fact is apparently not clear to Jumia’s customer service. The few interactions my father has had with them always ended with the fact that this product is now outside Jumia’s return window therefore, absolving themselves of all responsibility or wrongdoing. Jumia, riddle me this: Is it your policy to ship defective products to your customers? Is it also your policy run false marketing campaigns on your e-commerce platform? The listing for this coffee machine certainly didn’t display pictures of this rusted piece of crap you shipped to my dad.
I have personally never patronized Jumia’s services. Based on this experience so far, that day will never come.
In conclusion, Jumia first caught my eye when it was being touted as the Amazon of Africa. Clearly, Jumia is a far cry from this lofty ideal. If your customers cannot trust you, how do you expect potential investors to rely on your ability to deliver value? It’s no surprise your stock (JMIA) has performed poorly in the last 1 year.
In summary, Jumia cannot be trusted and do not deserve your business.

Poor service/customer’s care

Their customer’s care service is appalling. It is impossible to speak with a customer’s care representative. I was a expecting a delivery for which I got messages that I would be called but I was never called. I called the delivery guy’s phone number severally and he was very rude to me and not helpful at all. Finally, my order was cancelled without any attempt from them to contact me for the delivery! Some of the products I bought from them were not in a good condition. Overall, their service is terrible.

Disappointing experience with jumia

The delivery agent contacted me twice this week for an order in Abuja, on both occasions he asked to be paid cash, since his POS terminal...... did not arrive from Lagos ...??!!! Are they serious ?!!?
I cancelled the order.
Completely unprofessional and a waste of time.
