Awfully bad experience regarding a refund, they keep telling you they will get back in 48hrs or that your product was to be checked, which dragged into weeks. Different reps, different stories - it seems no one is in charge. Besides this company is dumping low quality chinese electronics to unsuspecting nigerians. I am pretty sure jumia consumers in other african countries they operate will not tolerate this kind of service from them. Nigerian consumer regulatory agencies should take a proper look at consumer related malpractices & sharp practices that goes on in this company, especially before their November Black Friday Sale event.

Jumia sales fake product. please be careful . Do not buy any product without testing it that day. I bought Phantom Z+ 4GB 64GB Android 10.0 from Jumia. The product was tested after a week because I was not around when it was delivered. The device was defective, it did not work. Both charging and Power On is not working, Yet Jumia refuse to take it back. Real fraud company. They knew the product is fake. Worst still, Jumia do not post bad review of product. They screen it out, posting only the good reviews. This is bad. Please do not take serious many good review on their site. I posted many bad review on product, never saw any posted.

Jumia is basically a Lagos Business

Jumia is basically a Lagos Business. You cannot make money from jumia if you are not based in Lagos. This is unlike what big online stores like Amazon do in advanced countries. Jumia needs to give all Nigerians opportunity to do business, and not restrict it to where the founders are based.

Not as bad as this weak 2.4 rating

Delivery has always been on time (with rare exceptions), products arrive as seen in photos and descriptions. I wish they charged a single shipping fee for all orders or for Jumia express orders, otherwise it's a friendly platform to shop for all your needs from home.
Jumia selects and picks customers' reviews for display, so you may not see all critical reviews about a product. For example, they kept asking me to submit my reviews on the items I bought, even though I had given my reviews before they asked, probably because I didn't say what they wanted to hear.
I've shopped on Jumia for up to 3 years and I have little to no regrets at all. Their service, packaging and pickup stations are commendable in the southwest part of Nigeria where I live.

Worst company ever to sell on. The system configuration is rubbish, the drop off centers rubbish. How can i sell a product and the next day it is cancelled and they do not know where my product is. Ojuelegba branch please provide my product nowww.

Jumia Scammed me 22050 Naira

Jumia Nigeria is a scam company.

They offered a 500/1000 naira promo that pays customers for each referred users. Since I am a blogger with moderate audience, I referred over 50 of my followers.

I earned N22050 Naira and I am sure it's more than that. They blocked my account, so after 3 months of their delay in providing positive feedback (and saying my money will not be touced when asked), they opened my account, AND REMOVED MY N22050.

All they keep saying is it's undergoing investigations. This happened February 2020. Till date November and no reply.

Jumia Nigeria is a scam company and needs to be sanctioned.

Jumia is a sham

Jumia is a sham. My prepaid order was cancelled despite the delivery guy not showing up for delivery. No calls or emails asking if I want to cancel it or not, not even a place to pick it up myself. How can you cancel a prepaid order without hearing from the buyer??? Steer clear of Jumia, Konga is way better.

Jumia is selling Fake Food Processors and refusing to take them back from the customer.

I think it's time we Nigerians said to ourselves: "enough is enough!" from people who think they can misbehave and get away with it! Jumia Nigeria is selling FAKE electrical products to hard working Nigerians and refusing to take responsibility for it. They hide under the umbrella of their 7-day Returns Policy and their so-called Warranty to avoid collecting their FAKE goods and refunding customers their money. This is CHEATING, DECEPTION and ILLEGAL. In a word: DAYLIGHT ROBBERY! I bought two blenders for my sisters, not less than three weeks ago. Each blender arrived on different dates to them: One, on 31st July 2020, the other, on 3rd August. After the second usage both blenders started emitting smoke and almost caused a fire! My sister made a video of the incidents... I have formally written to Jumia, via their website, twice, to go and pick up the blenders and refund the monies paid - yet they refused to respond appropriately. They have only sent me snippets of messages via their 'Facebook messenger'- saying that one of the blenders had exceeded their 7-day returns policy and that the other blender must be in its original packaging. Another snippet of message said that they have informed their 'management' yet no response from them till now. How long would it take a manager to authorise the 'pick-up' of two FAKE BLENDERS? What insolence! How is a customer expected to know that an electrical good is FAKE before 7 days expires? Jumia, what sort of policy is this that you run, where you bluntly refuse to own up to your responsibilities? You are cheating the masses and this is ILLEGAL. To ask a customer to keep a FAKE product and refuse to accept responsibility for it as the seller. When I openly questioned them about the faulty FAKE blenders on their main Facebook page, on the 19th August, they deleted my complaint from their page. Talk about trying to shut a customer from speaking out!!! Jumia, you must take back your faulty blenders and refund the monies paid. And your 7-day returns policy is your system of cheating Nigerians! It’s a CRAP POLICY and should be SCRAPPED!

Item transferred to a wrong pickup Centre by staff and item being returned

I placed an order (global and pay before delivery) on 6th of July and I requested that I will do a pickup at the Centre close to my house(magodo). At a point, the item was untraceable as the site provided no info on the order. After 3 weeks of waiting, I got a call from one of them (4/8/2020) stating that I should do a pickup the same day if not my item will be returned, I complained that no message Or call was Prior her call. I made it to the pickup Centre and discovered that the person who called was at another pickup Centre (ogudu). I asked what could be done, since the staff at pickup Centre seem not to have an idea of what could be done and how to transfer to the appropriate store (magodo). There’s no customer care number to be reached and the only number available is just for those who want to place orders and even upon complaint in which different calls were placed several times. The staffs kept cutting me off, and when I finally got a responsible staff. I was told to send a mail that at their end they have no option to resolve my situation. I sent a customer order form which no one has responded to in almost 24 hours and I got a message that my item will be returned and if needed I should reorder. I tried sending a mail to one I found on google in which a response came in immediately that I should forward my request to another stated in the mail received which is a wrong mail. I’m really disappointed with jumia. All this caused by the act of a careless staff.

THEY LEVIED ME 70K NAIRA FOR NO REASON !! CUSTOMER OREDERD MY PRODUCT , SHE USED MY AUTHETIC PRODUCT AND DECIDED TO RETURN IT CLAIMING NOT THE RIGHT FIT !! They have resolved the issue and I have resumed business with them . I hope they can improve on timely payment to vendors and resolve issues faster . Also reduce wait times at their drop off locations. Its always a mess .

Don't know why some of the items I…

Don't know why some of the items I ordered for are cancelled. I received messages on the days they would be delivered. Waited for the agents to call, they didn't. I now called telling them I've been waiting for them, one said he'll deliver the next day and the other said he'll call me back. I don't know the kind of orientation or training they have, or maybe they have other reasons for not coming to my side. I think Jumia needs to put some things right.
Well, I'm still waiting for other items I ordered for, hope it'll be delivered soon.

Avoid incomplete deliveries after delays, communicate delivery times and ensure courier service staff is well-mannered.

I have placed orders from jumia for years and the experience has been alright until now. The unusual times of covid 19 has revealed irregularities. I have been expecting my order for the past week and order eventually arrives incomplete while I was resting cuz I stayed up all night working. Phone was switched off as I needed to rest.
Note to Jumia: Train your delivery men to drop parcels with home security if they can’t reach the person who placed the order. They should communicate atleast a day before scheduled delivery especially if delivery has been delayed. Teach them etiquette. In my case, the delivery man asked the security to obstruct my siesta before he could deliver.Even when order had been left with home security while I was at work 2 years ago(previous order).
Bottomline, seeing the person who placed the order can never be guaranteed especially in the absence of adequate communication and would consequently, have to leave delivery with home security while taking note of name of person who received order, enquire from nearest neighbor home security to verify if order has been handed to the right security,capturing delivery with a camera if necessary.

Steer Clear of Jumia!

You are strongly advised to steer clear of Jumia and it's services. I made an order and almost two weeks after I'm yet to receive the order.

The agent drops calls whenever I try to reach him. Reported to the management on their Twitter account and was just getting robotic responses. Also tried to get food from the Jumia Food app. That was a disaster. After first failed attempt. I tried again and the agent kept calling me and apologising for messing up my order.
Eventually I had a chat on their app and was abruptly told my order had been cancelled and left me hanging there.

Till yet I've not gotten my money back.

It was a terrible experience that I don't want on my enemies. It's better to shop offline or use another merchant.
Run.

I’m so disappointed in my recent and first experiences with the online store.. you cancel orders without refund and without reasons for cancellations... refund my all my money or else I’ll just wait until corona outbreak and “stay at home/social distancing and isolation is over then I take legal actions against you..
