Unfair and Disproportionate Fees & Charges
I have been insured with Just Kampers for 2 years and the cover and service they have provided has been very good, although any changes no matter how small incur an admin fee of £35 which is high and annoying to say the least. I am selling my camper van and they are unable to insure my next vehicle so needing to cancel my current policy I tried to do this online but was unable to do so, after messaging customer services I received an email stating they would get back to me.... they never did!
I followed this up with a phone call to discover that the insurance company would refund me £157 which is reasonable. I paid the premium upfront from which Just Kampers were paid commission, I can not believe they then claim back an additional £28 commission plus another £35 admin fee. The result of all this is that I only receive £94 with the other £63 taken by Just Kampers.... For What??
This is a great example of how to turn a happy customer into a very unhappy one

I got there in the end, and was rewarded with a large saving.
I presented a challenge in taking out cover for three vehicles at the same time. Forms for mileage and garaging were slow to appear on the website and had to be filled in more than once. The specific locations for garaging had not been discussed earlier and led to an amendment and extra charge for one vehicle. A threat of cancelling one of the policies after 7 days was down to communication failure. I was dealing with JKI and their Broker, Stirling. The two did not appear to be joined up. After three longish phone calls it was all sorted. This is not a complaint, as the product fully matched my requirements and I saved more than £500 in comparison to my previous insurer's quote. Everyone I spoke to at JKI and Stirling were very helpful and friendly.
