I am a Senior (widow) who began having serious falls several years ago - often resulting in broken bones. Several of these falls happened outside, in cold Winter weather, with no one nearby to call out to for help. Finally, I decided to order a Life Assure pendant, even though I am living on a very low, fixed income. It has turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made! I am living with heart failure and constant atrial fibrillation and have already had one heart attack and several TIAs. Knowing that this device can detect a fall, and send help, even if I am not able to get to a phone or am unconsciousness has given me not only peace of mind, but has also helped me to stay in my own home, instead of having to go into a long- term care facility. I would encourage others to invest in a Life Assure device, if they too, have been experiencing falls, or worsening health issues. It is one decision that you will never regret. To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the delivery and accountability of a medical alert device from your company, as well as the unauthorized charges associated with it.
Approximately a year ago, I was undergoing various medical procedures and taking several medications when I ordered a medical alert device from your company. The device was delivered to me without my signature or direct acknowledgement. Given my medical condition and the effects of my medication, I have no clear memory of this delivery or the transaction. The device was left at my residence, and I do not recall who accepted it.
On May 16, 2025, my family called your company to cancel the payment and arrange for the device to be returned. We were told that payment would stop once the machine was received back at your location. The device was sent and your company paid for postage after a lengthy conversation with your agent. Despite this, your company takes no accountability or responsibility for the situation. It appears that your business preys on the elderly and vulnerable. I have a limited budget and limited access to online banking, so these charges went unnoticed for months.
After calling again weeks later, my family was told your company does not provide a refund.
My family has been very patient and concerned about how your company can get payments from a vulnerable person without checking on their mental state or providing all the necessary information. My real concern is this: How do you confirm the identity of a client before getting payment? How are you helping your clients? And what happens to the equipment that is no longer used? Your company should have been more accountable and performed a simple follow-up to ensure the device was received and in use. The fact that an expensive, life-saving device could go completely unchecked by your company is deeply troubling.
They did send me sort of a receipt for my annual fee for $745.05 to operate my emergency alert device at my request. I did not get an alert to the intended withdrawal of that amount from my bank account beforehand.
I would like a prewarming so I know that funds would be sufficient in my checking account when due.

There is no question that Life Assure has given me more confidence coping with everyday life. One challenge is when using the 'belt clip', my osteoarthritic fingers struggle with removing and replacing the lanyard (and dropping the little 'connector').

I don't deny that you told the ambulance to help me.
However the ambulance was dispatched to the wrong
house. I was able to cancel before the ambulance
arrived across the the street. Close but no cigar.

I ordered a spare charger for my device. I was not informed of the tracking number. I called today to follow-up and they told me it was shipped by Canada Post and gave me the tracking number. So now I’m waiting…

The ability to know where my spouse has gone on his little travels on our farm in his side by side. My biggest fear is not being able to find him! His dementia is a challenge. Reluctant to wear the pendant is a huge issue

There is not much information . No booklet explaining as to what to do and what not to do plus the general function the unit. I had to call several times because I got confused with the unit.
still wary. We seniors need more info and details to become familiar with the unit and when and how to use it.

When I first got my Medic Alert button it was new to me and twice I accidently set it off. The response was great. I was put through in no time. They were very pleasant and said no worries when I explain what happened. I feel safe in my apartment thanks to Life Assure. Thank you

It really works well and I love that it makes you feel safe and secure!! The only thing I would change if at all possible, would be the size and weight. Smaller & lighter. I know -- I'm probably asking for the moon, lol!
