We used Lifetime Legal to recoup some of the costs for our house move that fell through because our buyers backed out at the last minute. A Senior Associate Advisor, called Rhoda Ehigie, was extremely helpful and polite during our claim application.
I would thoroughly recommend anyone to use this company for a house move, which sadly can fall through, through no fault of yours.

The company called out of the blue, didn't check if it was a good time and did not provide information beforehand about what kind of info was needed. The line was poor so it's difficult to understand and try to find documents at the same time. They had my name down wrong, wouldn't read out my email address because apparently my name is too complicated (to spell out letter by letter?!) and refused to acknowledge a person's first name insisting instead to use another name for them. After the call, they said we needed to compete a remote ID verification but didn't tell us what we needed in that process. We had to call up and verify the email (that wasn't sent to me because I guess since they never confirmed my email, it is incorrect as well) and when we asked what was required to verify ID we got told they were "pretty sure" about what was being asked. It's not a pretty sure kind of question, it's a clear yes or no and I would expect them to know if we're being charged £80 for their "service". Feels very discriminatory and unprofessional.

ETA: a manager did reach out to me following this review to apologies, which I do appreciate, however the same level of service has continued. They refused to use a person's correct name, could not understand how to read notarized documents that they asked for, and when we asked them to confirm they had received all the documents they needed, they simply refused. We have another appointment with a notary to re-notarise documents (the ones they already have and that the notary has confirmed are correct), which means we will have to spend an additional £200 to the £200 we have already spent because Lifetime Legal's computer, seemingly, says no and their team are "pretty sure" they know the answers (they probably don't based on our experience).

Can't believe I had to pay £80. To feel frustrated and fobbed off.
I'm trying to buy a house. I have the money from sale of our old house - so you think it would be straight forward... NO it's not at all. I gave a poor review and a nice lady got back to me. But still no sale of memorandum.
I would not recommend this company at all and unfortunately that goes for purple bricks who use them unless you want to feel anxious and frustrated and very under valued as a client.

What can I say, had a call whilst abroad on a poor line and could just about hear the person. Said it was a one off cost of £60 that I had to do, receiving the transcripts looks like they said I needed to pay £9 a month. No emails, no letters, no standing order and no direct debit and yet they keep taking the money even though I’ve tried to cancel it. Contacted my bank to query the payments and told them that I don’t want this, it’s meant to be protection for a property that I haven’t even bought! For a legal firm to continue to take my money when I’ve asked them to terminate everything is ridiculous!

Like many people - we used this company as advised by estate agent for ID verification. They claim they contacted us when the 3 months free trial of 'benefits' was due to end - they did not. Have taken £8.99 for 5 months. Absolute appalled.
