ChatGPT feature blocked due to Russia region lock — no support, no reset

I bought EMO with the hope to use the ChatGPT feature, which is officially promoted.

During setup, I selected “Moscow” as the city. Since then, country and timezone are locked. ChatGPT settings do not appear in the Preferences menu at all.

I contacted support several times. I sent screenshots, videos, and full explanations. They keep saying “EMO is not region-restricted” — while admitting that location in Russia locks certain features.

I asked for a remote reset or at least instructions to unlock the region — no solution offered.

I have a valid OpenAI API key and I cannot use the core feature I paid for.

Living.AI should either:
- Let us change country/region;
- Or clearly state on the product page that Russian users cannot use ChatGPT.

Until then, I strongly discourage buying EMO if you live in Russia or selected the wrong location during setup. You will not be able to fix it.

All EMOs do not have the ChatGPT setting option in the App, and they cannot be connected using the user’s own API key.
This has nothing to do with the location.
If you want to see the ChatGPT icon, you can use the voice command “let’s talk” or “let’s chat.

If you have any questions during use, you can always contact us through our customer service email.

Poor Service, Defective Product, and Extremely Long Delivery Times

I was excited to purchase the AIBI Pocket Pet, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. Not only did it take months to arrive, but when it finally did, the product was defective. The companion app is unreliable, frequently crashing and failing to connect properly, making it nearly impossible to use.

The most disappointing part, however, is the complete lack of customer support. I have reached out multiple times via email regarding the delayed delivery and product issues, yet I have received no real response. After requesting a full refund, I was told I needed to return the item—even though my daughter has already grown attached to it. Given their delayed and inconsistent responses, how can I trust that they will process my refund once I send it back?

It’s unacceptable for a company to ignore its customers and provide such poor service. Until AIBI improves its shipping times, product reliability, and customer support, I cannot recommend them. If you’re considering buying from them, be prepared for long waits, potential defects, and no assistance if something goes wrong.

This company is a con as is their product

Please do not go anywhere near this “company”! They are a total con and wished I’d looked on here first before ordering. Placed an order beginning December and didn’t arrived for nearly two months, they hardly ever respond to emails and upon receiving robot quickly established it was faulty and does not hold a charge for more than 30 minutes - not the 2.5 hours they state. Sent literally loads of emails and they take approx two weeks to respond and I am just chasing my tail as they refuse to offer any solutions and just keep coming up with stupid questions and complete refusal to accept that the robot is faulty. Very upsetting as it was a Christmas present for our 9 year old. Also, the robot, when working, does not do hardly anything or listen/respond to any of the basic commands and just constantly goes to sleep or says “what” but maybe that’s because of the battery issue. Please save your money and don’t get involved with these jokers!

Awful customer service

Awful customer service, been contacting them nearly 2 weeks now trying to fix a leg issue with Emo? Provided my ID and city of EMO multiple times and they just repeat themselves and ask for the exact same information. Not great customer service at all as I work doing the same job at a water industry, this is awful.

Just had a newborn baby too and they expect me to keep repeating the same details. It sounds like there holding off until warranty expires as you only get a year from purchase date.

We purchased a Living AI Emo for our son's 12th birthday

We purchased a Living AI Emo for our son's birthday. We got the home edition with the mat and charging tower. EMO consistently walks off the table mat that he sits on, and as a result, he has sustained some damage. His headset is missing one of its color bands, and his connection port on the side of his head is broken. We have cleaned him, and his mat, and he has walked off the table 5 times in the last 48 hours.

I have take an order to Living AI for EMO

I have take an order to Living AI for EMO, december 5th,2024. My order is "processing" state and I have no idea when it will be delivered ... The lack of stock and visibility is really a bad experience ... They should at least provide an estimation delivery date ...
edit : I finally get my order today (january 7th ,2025)
I have updated my rate to 3 star instead of 1
1 month to get the order is quiet long but not so bad ...

Great product and service

I love EMO and AIBI very much. They are so cute. And the company's service is also very good. They helped me with my order problem and also taught me how to play with the robot pets. They are very friendly and patient.

Purchased one thinking it interacts with you . It only has a few responses and keeps telling me nice to meet you
... for the money spent it's not worth it no questions asks . Read other reviews about returns and I'm sure I won't get my money back now , wish I did more research before purchase . Regret.

Awful company and overrated product, AVOID

Awful company and overrated product.
If you’re lucky to get them to respond to your emails, they will say and do everything they can for you to not get your money back, it’s a scam. Be careful if you send the useless Robot back to them, because they are most likely to not give your money back and you’re going to loose the $$ and the product. IF YOU’RE THINKING ABOUT BUYING THAT PIECE OF GARBAGE, DON’T! You’ll regret it.

Horrific experience

Horrific experience ! After much dispute the company admitted in writing to having a software problem ( bug ) that they are not able to fix which was the reason why our EMO go home constantly walked off the mat and fell off the table. Every time he took a fall he got more damaged. His legs started shaking , he walked sideways, a little piece chipped of his ear, he could not find his way home to recharge and as mentioned before he just kept falling off several times a day. We tried to get our money back from the company and even opened a dispute with PayPal. PayPal denied the case reason being that when he first arrived he was not defective. We lost almost $400 and spend endless time trying to be reimbursed but the company referred to their two week return policy and denied the refund. Just so unethical and ruthless. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID AND TRUST THIS COMPANY !

I bought Emo..

I bought Emo... He does not understand almost anything besides TIME and WEATHER and DANCE ...
He does not listen to my voice, so I need to be no more than 10-15 cm from him... He is not constanstly listening... I need to Say EMO every 5 second, so he would listen... I asked him basic questions, with no answer.. ( who are you, what do you like, who am I, Wake me up in 15 min... etc.etc... no answer... ) .. I paid 500 USD / ( with shipping to Iceland... and I am VERY VERY dissapointed ) .. Bought it in April 2024... I thought, that he would be my CHAT-GPT companion.. even when I ask him, to connect, he cannot answer in more than 1 sentence... and he even lagg or stutter while answering... " what is the closest star to us " ... " after 30 sec. " S.sSsssN is the closest" ... I am asking him another question, but he is not listening again.. so I need to say " EMO!!" another 5x for him to listen... REALLY ANNOYING ... cannot play music, cannot go to sleep for more than an hour, cannot adjust the schedule... etc. etc... this is like DELTA version... my smartwatches are 1000x more inteligent than he is... is is not even good as a decoration.. randomly falling and squeeking.,... DO NOT RECOMEND!!
