Magic Notes is Brilliant! It takes the stress and long days out of social worker and helps you concentrate more on what we're supposed to be doing as social workers. It records your conversations into any useful format you need, reports, case notes, emails, general meeting etc. You check it over, add context and analysis and this cuts down your work load considerable. A long conversation can take 10 to 15 minutes to records really professionally. Just remember to get permission from all those being recorded and assure them that it's their words and not their voices which are being used to ensure accuracy!

Magic Notes summarizes the note as well as provides the complete transcript of recorded conversations. It is a real time saver. In addition I can dictate notes from clients that were not recorded and get summaries and transcripts. I can use the prompts to change the outputted data to what I need if I need something different from the provided templates. The liaison from Magic Notes is responsive for any challenges encountered. I love this product and the ability it has provided with notes -- the time savings for me is great.

As a visually impaired member of staff, I am always exploring innovative ways of working. Magic Notes has proven to be a valuable tool in supporting my role, and I am confident it will continue to improve and learn over time. However, it has not replaced the importance of thorough note-taking, which remains essential. I continue to rely on my PA to ensure that key information is accurately captured, especially in instances where Magic Notes may miss certain details.

This is revolutionary technology especially for people who suffer with dyslexia. where was it ten years ago what might have been. its like having a p.a to complete all your admin.

My comment relate to Victor’s presentation and description of Magic Notes at the Social Work Scotland 2025 Annual Conference in Glasgow on Thursday 9th October. To date, I have not used Magic Notes.

Really disappointed with Magic Notes. The app didn’t work as expected, kept freezing, and most features are locked behind paid options. Total waste of time. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

Magic notes is a complete game changer. As a social worker I came in to the profession to work directly with people that need support and care. Typing endless notes took this away and their were days when I would have to sit endlessly typing. Now I have magic notes I feel as though I can be a social worker and actually have more time with the people that require our help, I am also dyslexic, magic notes has totally supported all my notes, meetings, case notes, structured my work and made it so much less stressful. Thank you to the creator of magic notes, unbelievable and a fantastic tool to social work!!!

The recordings on Magic Notes are so accurate and it's very easy to adapt if needed. It saves time and helps me keep on top of case note write ups for various things - from telephone calls, TEAMS calls, home visits to Support Review Meetings. It is certainly life changing. Thanks Magic Notes!

Using this tool has been very beneficial, really enables you to focus on communication with individuals and their families rather than capturing notes during calls and visits. Has cut down on admin time which in turn increases productivity and gives more time to those we are supporting. Very happy SW!

Magic Notes has really helped the team operationally save time with typing up/admin related tasks. It helps to ensure the meeting is being captured without loosing the personal touch of being able to interact positively with the other person(s) because you aren't having to write the contents up yourself. It helps to summarise large team meetings and you can reformat the meeting into different styles.

I love magic notes, wish they had brought it in years ago. It mean that the majority of my meetings are now turned into instant minutes which can then be copied across to the system, meaning more information is recorded. I like the fact that it is a secure portal. I like you can ask it to put in more detail so you can have a basic summary of the discussions and actions or you can have a more detailed set of minutes. I have been using it for about three months and it has cut down my work load considerably.

I found it an intuitive app - so even with very little training, you can find you way around it and make really useful, quick notes of meetings, with clear actions. The templates are helpful, but think about what you want from the notes and be specific with your requests to edit - then I find you need far less editing and you can get the notes from even a long meeting out within a very short space of time, typically within an hour of the meeting ending. The initial choosing a window and turning on the audio for hybrid meetings is a bit clunky and I've had one experience of thinking I was recording and I wasn't, but if you are sure to check the volume graphic is moving, that usually means all is on track.

I have completed a review in a care home , I accessed online care records and needed to document data detailing care calls frequency for multiple tasks . I noted the data by hand and then later recorded myself reading the data , I had to pause the recording multiple times as I worked through each section . The transcript was then provided , it read as a summary and included information as concerns and follow up actions - very impressed !!

Magic notes is an absolute game changer. It has helped me focus on my work as a social worker- I am able to have more meaningful discussions, and focus on my meetings instead of typing my notes. Duplication of work, admin work has reduced to maybe 20% and I couldn't be happier going out and listening to people with full attention and focus, and making them literally feel heard!

Magic Notes enables me to maintain good eye contact with my clients instead of looking down to write notes during our conversations.

Magic Notes summarises my assessments/reviews and and enables me to cut and past information onto our assessment/review forms which reduces the time spent on typing these information.

Magic Notes is an excellent tool for use in Social work and I would always recommend it. Magic Notes is unable to capture foreign names/surnames, therefore it is useful for this sort of information to be spelt during the conversation or meeting.

Magic Notes is fabulous to use when consent is given by the clients or family.

I am getting all my notes for the meetings I have held compiled for me with an accurate account

Cuts my admin duties by 80%. Which means I can have more time for appointments and support more clients. I love it!
