I purchased half empty 310g box of maltesers…

I purchased the 310g box of maltesers and where in the past you would shake the box and the maltesers would hardly rattle around. Now the box is half empty and very noisy when I shake it with all that extra room... disgraceful. When I contacted mars they had the gaul to say that they have been absorbing rising raw material cost and operational cost, so they can't keep things the way they are. They don't take the decision easily, but they're confident that their chocolate brands still offer customers and consumers the best possible value, without compromising on quality or taste. What a load of rubbish. The fact is they keep reducing the quantity of their products while increasing the cost. Everyday chocolate that many adults and children enjoy, will soon become luxury items for only the rich, who will be able to buy a product at an extortionately high price, with virtually nothing inside. The person I spoke to wasn't very helpful and quite dismissive, attempting to direct me away from my complaint after making the position of mars quite clear. Absolutely terrible!

Kuscheln oder Cash......Cashback- Betrug durch Mars GmbH Velden.
Habe an besagter Aktion teilgenommen und für mindestens 25 € Produkte dieses Konzerns gekauft. Kaufbelege für Cashback hochgeladen,Antwortmail erhalten mit " Vielen Dank, ist eingegangen und wird in KÜRZE überwiesen....... Das ganze ist 4 Wochen her. Mail hingeschrieben und auch nach ca 1 Woche ohne Antwort geblieben.
Mein Fazit: das ist der Tag an dem ich ab SOFORT kein Geld mehr für Produkte dieses Konzerns ausgeben werde. Ihr habt für die Zukunft einen Kunden weniger, dafür aber einen dazugewonnen,der jeden im Verwandten/ Bekanntenkreis vor diesen Konzern warnen wird.

Mars Wrigley chewing gum probably contains plastic

Mars Wrigley epitomise exactly how some big companies don't give a stuff about their customers' health.
I had a simple question. Does the gum base in Mars Wrigley chewing gum contain plastic? Several emails later ended with them telling me "we're really sorry, but the information your asking about is proprietary and commercially sensitive"
So this huge, multi-million pound company can hide whatever the hell it wants in its chewing gum and they won't tell you what you are eating.
Is this really right?! A major, international company happy for me to eat ingredients I don't know the first thing about? Hang your head in shame Mars Wrigley.
All I can deduce from this is that when you're chewing on Mars Wrigley chewing gum you're chewing on plastic. Does anyone think that's a good idea? May be it's deemed safe now - but what may come out in the future?
So I would urge everyone to boycott this probably plastic product and change to some of the plastic-free gums instead.
PS I contacted the Food Standards Agency to check the validity of Mars Wrigley's secrecy. They told me to contact the Department of Health. The Department of Health redirected me to the Food Standards Agency who then told me to fill in a form for further help. The form then informs you to contact Trading Standards who pass you on to Citizens Advice who listen to you, ask for a minute while they check.... and then hang up on you!! There's just no hope.

MARS you let me down

I called the company as I had purchased some Maltesers in the fun size pack and the two packets we opened had an unusual taste so I thought I should let them know so they could investigate or perhaps recall the product however the woman was not interested in any product code or expiry date all she wanted to know is if I had the outside packet to take a photo of it - we had thrown it away and then she started this rant how I can't get a refund because I didn't have the outside packet - I never asked for a refund nor did I want one I was more worried about other customers purchasing this product and get ill from eating it - Good job MARS I will not be purchasing these again or any of your products clearly you don't care about your customers

Customer service at its worst!
Mars customer service have surpassed themselves in their poor customer treatment during a recent complaint.

I rarely treat myself to chocolate. I just can’t afford it. But I bought a pack of maltesers. They were disgusting, all glooped together and white. I had to dispose of them

I complained. Told I’d get a voucher. Didn’t arrive. Told I’d be sent another one. Received but it was not accepted at checkout after 15 minutes of waiting!

I was then asked to send the voucher back in one of my envelopes, using my petrol to post it. I said no. Refund me or replace the item

Then I was asked to agree to a privacy policy and some company called Savi to act as my agent for the refund to my PayPal account.

I said no. Refund to my email address, which they had, via PayPal. Also using GDPR guidelines all data to be removed from Mars Wrigley inc and any third parties they’d given my data to, including Savi. I want confirmation that this has been done.

This has been going on since initial complaint email dated 3 September so nearly 2 months.

It’s a packet of chocolate, expensive in my mind, but still a packet of chocolate. Mars needs to get a grip. Sort it out. Refund/replace not this voucher nonsense causing more annoyance and disruption to the customer.

Last time I buy anything from this company.

Mars doesn't care at all about customers satisfaction or quality of service

I loved them but I then started ordering from them directly and now hate the company.

So the FedEx shipment got "stuck" and was stuck for 1 week after traveling for 1 week, so 2 weeks sitting somewhere that seems to be "gone" or lost basically. I contacted Tastybite about this and was told to "wait longer" and blown off. Then I couldn't login to change my subscription. I asked them to cancel my subscription finally after a few emails and seeing they had an attitude when it was not my fault FedEx failed. I was hungry. They lady just canceled me and refunded me, yet never said anything extra / sorry / did not give me verification of any caring that they failed to deal with the order being lost. They were wanting me to deal with it, call FedEx, instead of them the shipper deal with it. They don't care about you as a customer. I was made to feel like I did something wrong, and was just wanting to get a refund for lost food / they were refusing to ship me another order it seems because FedEX lost the package and chose to let me go instead of trying to make it right.

Fraud company …

I ordered a card case for $9.99 in May which was charged to my account but just days later they charged my account $49 . Then in June , July and August they charged the $49 again until I got a fraud alert from my bank and closed the card. I have been trying to call for the last week and they aren’t accepting calls !

Exploitation? Reduced the size, but forgot to reduce the price with it

Just purchased a box of celebrations as a gift, basing my purchase entirely on previous buys of the same product. The boxes were neatly stacked in the supermarket alongside the Roses, Quality Street and Heroes competitors. All were the same price, (which was the standard cost, with a small inflationary increase) but always having been a Mars and Galaxy fan, I decided to stick with the old faithful.

Unfortunately it wasn't as faithful as I had assumed, and loyalty to the brand doesn't seem to be reciprocated by how Mars have now marketed this product.

It was only on getting the product home that I noticed that the size of the tub had been cut down dramatically and when checking, the actual content had been reduced by more than 10%, with 61g less chocolate in the box.

I was disgusted by this, so went back to the supermarket to check, and this was the only brand and package that had changed, and effectively increased it's pricing like this.

I do appreciate the need for inflation and price rises on products, and these were 50p more than they were 6 months ago, so I accepted that without any concern. However, this same package branding, was hiding the reduction in quantity in plain sight, decreasing the value to the customer and undermining product trust and reliability.

For years we have had smaller size products sold in multipack options, but that has always been transparent, providing fair choice and option for the customer. This on the other hand, has come across as blatant deception, and with this product being a favourite of the elderly to purchase as gifts and care packaging, I personally fell that it is entirely exploitative.

Over the years, tastes change and recipes change, and todays Mars products have already moved away from the luxurious creamy escapism that they used to provide. Much of this has been because of cheaper ingredients being used to stretch the margins for the company, and that's fair enough. Hiding profiteering under the guise of providing the same item is something different entirely, and I am annoyed with myself for falling into this commercial trap.

That said, without the creamy escapism of the past, this is now just another sweet confectionary, and as a consequence, I will be moving my loyalty to other brands, where at least I will get what I expect.

I am extremely disappointed with Mars for taking this approach to increase profits, and my advice is to check the packaging before you get to the checkout.

Galaxy…

I recently bought a packet of Galaxy Ripple bars, I noticed the taste has changed. It's no longer soft and creamy and could be any Cadbury's chocolate bar which I prefer not to eat. Now both Galaxy Mars chocolate and Cadbury's chocolate are off of my shopping list or treats list. So sad you decided to change galaxy Ripple chocolate.

I urge you to read the Terms & Conditions on Shop At Mars because there is a clause in them that says you agree to a monthly subscription of $49. Even though you have only ordered one thing, and not a recurring order, they will still take $49 monthly from your account. They also give their address as being in USA, but they are actually a Chinese company. Do a search for Shop At Mars Terms & Conditions. The following is in their Terms and Conditions:-

BY PLACING YOUR MONTHLY RECURRING ORDER OF REDPLANET MEMBERSHIP YOU WILL BE CHARGED $49 NOW AND EVERY 30 DAYS THEREAFTER UNTIL YOU CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN ELECTRONIC NOTIFICATION 5 TO 7 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR TRANSACTION AND RECEIPT AFTER EACH SUCCESSFUL TRANSACTION.

Scammers, fraudsters.

Would be zero from me, absolute scammers. Never deliver the goods and then take £39.70 from my visa account for subscription. Which I never signed up for in first place. Don't buy from these fraudsters. Very angry customer.

This is A Scam!!

I ordered a small brush for $9.99, not only has it not arrived but I found a pending transaction for USD49 in my credit card account. I am waiting to speak to the fraud office at my bank!

The only way to stop them continuing to charge a "fee" every month is to cancel your credit card and go through the hours it takes to reset you payments.

These people are simply crooks. Avoid them like the plague!
