Irene was very thorough in her analysis and background work regarding potential dates. She is very good to work with and was an excellent coach as the process unfolded.

12-17-25 - In response to the Matchmaking Co comment below: There's definitely a lack of communication and I must express my dissatisfaction with the matches I've received thus far. They have not aligned with the detailed preferences I provided in my extensive questionnaire. I was clear about my non-negotiables:
• Personal hygiene (esp. healthy teeth)
• An active lifestyle
• Core values
• A minimum height of 5'10"
While I do have other preferences, these are some of my top ones. In the introductions I've received—around 6 or so—I met 3 individuals, none of whom met my core criteria. One had a missing front tooth, another had crooked and yellowed teeth, and the third was 5'7" and shared that he had not been active since his divorce two years prior, with a very early work schedule that left him in bed by 7pm.
Additionally, the other matches did not align with my preferences. Some proactively shared their criteria before even meeting, stating they didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. For instance, one person outlined a strict list of requirements, including no pets, no kids at home, no tattoos, no plastic surgery, and a preference for a conservative Christian partner. As I have both a kid and a pet and not religious, I was disqualified. Another person sent me a picture and, unfortunately, his appearance did not align with what I am looking for as he was very overweight and not active. Last one said he was a caregiver with limited time to spend outside of his home and wanted to make sure that wouldn't be an issue should we start dating.
Given all of this, I am extremely disappointed by your assertion that my matches align with my preferences. Had the matchmakers taken the time to know this about those individuals or I known these details in advance, I would not have agreed to meet or connect with any of them. It feels as though the matchmakers, of which I’ve been assigned to 6 or 7, have not taken the time to truly understand their clients' ideal match. In fact, only one matchmaker took the initiative to have a conversation with me to better understand my preferences, but she was removed a few weeks later and that was approximately 6 months ago.
A new matchmaker reached out 2 days ago and sent me a new match—someone who is 5'6", which is clearly not in line with my stated preferences. This only further reflects a lack of attention to detail and my specific criteria.
I stand by my original review, as I feel this service has not delivered on the expectations set forth when I signed up. It has, unfortunately, proven to be both completely ineffective and utterly disappointing.

Review left on 12-15-25 - I paid several thousand dollars for this matchmaking service based on repeated promises that they had hundreds of qualified matches and that introductions would begin within 2–3 months on October 2023. Nearly two years later, that has simply not happened.

Despite the upfront assurances, I have not been set up with any decent or genuinely compatible matches. The 3 matches I've been set up with were not even close to the detailed info I provided for the type of match I am looking for. Communication has been sporadic and largely consists of excuses or vague reassurances rather than results. The service delivered has been nowhere near what was advertised or contractually implied.

For a premium-priced service, I expected proactive matchmaking, transparency, and accountability. Instead, I’ve experienced long delays, unmet promises, and a complete lack of follow-through. This paid service is worse than the free ones. At least with the free ones, I get to see who I'm meeting up with which this company advices you against sharing photos and I've learned it's because they don't take the time to learn what your likes and dislikes are, they just match you with whoever is complaining about not being matched.

If you are considering this company, be very cautious. The marketing and sales pitch sound great, but my experience suggests the actual service does not live up to the claims—especially given the cost.

They are very professional and helpful to you in finding the right person.

This company is not what they purport to be. The Yelp reviews are spot on. I have had 3 introductions in almost 1 year, two were completely people I would never associate with. $7000 down the drain! It's very disheartening and really unbelievable they can continue to be in business.

The most useless and unprofessional service I have ever come across. I have had better dates other apps like Bumble for 10th of the price. They don't seem to have lot of people in their system to match . I have been with them for one year and giving this review second time. When I gave it first time they asked to remove saying they will try to do better. But they hav e not so I am giving my honest and full experience.

Reply to their comment 12-11-2025 1:32 PM EST: First of all your match did not even bothered to reply to initial message. I did inform you about this via voice mail to the assigned match maker. This is a lame excuse. I left a VM more than 10 days ago and there was no response. After carefully waiting , I have given this review.

This is detailed.
The initial interview went well. The lady was obviously well-trained for this job and very personable. Their office was well-appointed and the whole process seemed quite professional. I signed, knowing that 6 dates may not find a match. It was worth it to me if I could somehow find someone compatible who enjoyed the same things I enjoy and we could have fun together. I knew it was a long shot, but one I was willing to take.

The company was told from day one that I had a full time job and was not available for calls until after 4:30 pm. I was never told that people would be calling me from California and there would only be a 1 hour window for us to connect via phone. They also never told me we could not communicate via email. That later became a real problem.

I know about the scammers out there and how they prey on people, especially older ones. So, as a savvy person, I wanted to protect myself by recording all phone calls. In my state you can record with one party’s knowledge. Someone called from California, not the state in which I had the interview. This seemed to me like a red flag that something was not on the up and up.

I stated in that first call that the call was being recorded. Boy, did they bristle at that. The lady said I could be charged with a crime in California, because it requires both parties agree. So I asked her to agree. She denied with such fervor that I saw yet another red flag. Why are they calling from California? Why would they mind having their calls recorded? What are they going to say that could possibly cause them problems, unless they are doing things outside the law? Even telemarketers record every call. It really made worry. I gave them a lot of money.

I said I would be happy corresponding mostly via email. She told me they did nothing by email, because it was too impersonal. I was then so glad that I was recording. I clearly stated to them that I would record every call and asked again about using email instead. That was denied, claiming it was too impersonal. Of course, I know it also allows tracking of what is said as proof of any illegalities.

A few days after that, a lady called (we will call her Ms. M) who is, I suppose, a supervisor. She said no other representative would allow a recording, but she would. I answered, and she asked a few questions that I already answered in the personal interview. She told me she was trying to find a match for me. Otherwise, there seemed no purpose to the call. I again asked about email and it was refused.

A week or so went by and I received a call from Ms. M, but was driving and had a dinner engagement with friends. By the time I got out, it was too late to call California. The next day, Ms. M called again, but this time I was driving home in a snowstorm and could not answer. I live in the mountains. The next day she called again. I don’t know what happened, but we lost the call, I tried to call back, we lost that call, etc. Perhaps that was due to the weather. She immediately called back again to inform me that she knew the call had been dropped. So she had to know that I tried to answer. Then she stated that since I had refused to answer her calls numerous times (actually 2), they would put my account on hold.

If you don't answer their call two times, they put your account on hold? That’s rather ridiculous considering how much money you pay them. So much time after your account is put on hold they kick you out of the system and keep all your money. I received no information on how to remove that “hold” status. The red flags told me this could be a way for them to “get rid of me”. All they had to do is time me out and keep my money for doing nothing.

I immediately tried to call her back and got an answering machine stating no one was available. This was prior to the company closing time in California, so I knew they had to be working. I tried multiple times during the time they are open and received the same message. All these calls are recorded. In the calls, I clearly stated why I could not answer the calls and that I had tried multiple times to reach them. I demanded that I be removed from the “hold” status. I did this on a Thursday, so they would have been open to respond to my request on Friday. I had no phone calls from them on Friday. No attempt to remove my "hold" status.

Friday I received an email stating that my account was put on hold. I responded to that email, again explaining why I could not answer due to the snowstorm and why the calls may have been dropped. I also explained I had reached out to them, but was told no one was available. At this time, I stated that if I did not hear from them, I would see them in Magistrate Court and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals Office in both states.

These are statements of fact. I will update as things continue, but feel people need to know this.

Last year I was misinformed by the bait & hook tactic. The saleswoman Michelle exaggerated that the match company will get to know me & match with a person who has similar interests etc..
Nothing like that happened $5,000 later it was a complete disappointment.
After the first match, they dropped the ball & assigned me to a match maker in Tampa Florida who didn’t know me at all. Then another & another matchmaker never speaking to the same person. Then 3 months later matched with a person who had different physical abilities and was not a good fit. The story goes on the next match was a mistake & the person was 10 YEARS OLDER than me. Another error!
Dont waste your hard earned money for a company with ALL broken promises.
