I first came to McEwan Fraser with a very complex eviction matter involving my property. From my very first conversation with Ken McEwan, I felt that I was finally speaking to people who genuinely understood the seriousness of what had happened. Ken immediately understood the circumstances, reassured me that they would work towards obtaining legal possession of my property, and then handed my case over to Rozaleen.

That was one of the best decisions they could have made.

Roz has been absolutely amazing throughout what has been a long, complicated and, at times, extremely frustrating process. My case was far from straightforward, and there were many occasions where I felt exhausted by it all and wondered when there would finally be an end in sight. Through every difficult stage, Roz remained calm, patient, understanding and completely professional.

What I appreciated most was that she never made me feel like just another case. She took the time to understand the circumstances, carried out her due diligence properly and worked hard to establish the strongest legal basis for my case. She kept me informed at every stage and was always honest and upfront with me, even when the news wasn't necessarily what I wanted to hear.

There were definitely more than a few moments when I felt frustrated and thought, "Is this ever going to end?" Roz would always reassure me that we were doing things the right way and that we had to allow the process to take its course. She would remind me that the light was near, even when I couldn't see it myself.

Looking back now, I completely understand why she was so persistent about laying the right foundations and following the proper legal process. We have now achieved the outcome we were working towards, and everything has finally fallen into place. It makes all the difficult stages along the way make sense.

Roz didn't just provide legal support. She also gave me a tremendous amount of reassurance and emotional support during what was an incredibly stressful situation. She was empathetic, approachable and genuinely cared about getting the right outcome for me. I always felt that she had my back, and that meant a great deal during such a difficult period.

There were ups and downs, unexpected issues and moments where the road ahead looked incredibly long, but Roz never lost sight of the end goal. Her determination, knowledge, honesty and professionalism have been outstanding.

And as Roz and I have joked along the way, we've finally got the elephant through the door and there's only the tail left! 😉 After everything we've been through, I think that's probably the best way to describe where we are now. What once seemed like an endless process is finally coming together.

Ive done a few buy & sells over the years & this firm was well worth the extra cost compared to their competition…Firstly, my property was initially valued a certain amount by a cheaper competitor, but M & F upped the value considerably more…and achieved it!..
the photo shoot, drone footage and media coverage was absolutely brilliant and The local agent Nadia was absolutely top notch, we had 14 viewers in the first week and she coped with most of them with total professionalism.
We also used their conveyance services and Sian, although being a trainee was absolutely excellent.
Communication was excellent at all levels.
The property we were destined to buy actually fell through due to a technical issue, which was discovered due to very good due diligence by Solicitor Barry, it was meant to be..

I decided to try to sell my maisonette in Bonnethill Place, Dundee, after several years of renting it out. I arranged for three Estate Agents to visit me at the property and decided to go with McEwan Fraser Legal, as I was particularly impressed with Jayne Smith, their Area Sales Manager. As soon as I met Jayne, it was very obvious that she had a very good understanding of the Dundee property market and was very familiar with Bonnethill Place, a converted Jute Mill. Jayne had recently been responsible for achieving a good price on the sale of another maisonette in the building, which I found encouraging. Jayne had a lot of time for me when she visited, which was much appreciated! She fully explained about the type of people that would be interested in my property and the best way to advertise it to bring it to their attention. She also made some very useful suggestions on how I could improve the presentation of the property. Unfortunately, I have now taken the property off the market as it didn’t sell in the time period I had envisaged and I will now be renting it out again. However, I have no complaints about McEwan Fraser. I did have quite a few viewings and I also accepted an offer, but unfortunately there were complications on the buyer’s side and the sale did not go through. I had regular contact with Jayne during the time the property was up for sale. I found it easy to get in touch with her. She always returned my calls very quickly, If I couldn’t get hold of her straight away. I really appreciated the fact she had time for me, was always able to answer my queries and always gave me good advice and suggestions.
