Ben came to our home and was extremely confident in achieving a quick sale given the location and decor. He provided us with a valuation that we considered pretty high, however he told us of all the different sales techniques they could use to get a sale, including amending photos, pricing strategies, going to closing even when there is only 1 buyer etc. During the initial consultation he talked at length about how other estate agents will just ask you to drop the price to get a sale, where they wouldn’t and would use other techniques to achieve at least the home report value for you. Have to admit I bought the complete BS. Our experience couldn’t have been more different to that promised. After being on the market for less than a couple of weeks his advice became to drop the price by c 15%! Not sure what happened to all these other sales techniques, retaking photos etc. In the end it was clear all he cared about was getting the house away as quickly as possible at any price to get his fee. Best way to do that is to cut the house price which only hits my pocket not his. All the talk about caring about what price they would achieve for their customers was total rubbish. They cared about a quick sale at my expense. People plan their finances around what their house will sell for and rely on advice given by the so called experts. In the end had to take my house off the market (as I wasn’t willing to accept tens of thousands below HR) and pay £2k to this firm for basically doing next to nothing for us. Used a different firm for my eventual sale (at a significantly better price) and purchase and had a significantly better experience. Anecdotal however looking on ESPC all the houses in my area that are sitting for a long time unsold all seem to be marketed by this firm

Diane Kerr has represented the property I am buying and has been fantastic, all I can say is she is on the ball and extremely helpful.

From start to finish they have been great. But the biggest asset this company has is the solicitor Kenny Cameron who was amazing and really went well beyond in the selling of our house so much so our daughter is now in the process of using this solicitor to buy her property. 10/10 and Thanks for everything.

Grant the photographer was very friendly and professional. He did an excellent job of photographing my property and was very thorough in his approach, taking care to present a partially-renovated commercial property to its best advantage.

I am grateful for the team at McEwan Frazer : Nari Bhandari my agent and the legal team of Hamish Whelan, Angus Hart and Artur Lasisz who worked closely together to get the sale across the line. It definitely was a team effort and nice to see. The fact I was in Australia didn’t make a difference. We did run into a number of delays from the buyer’s side that were not expected. Our side had everything under control. It was an anxious time for me but the team continuously followed up and pushed the deal through. We were interested in a property in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire and Peter Reid from McEwan Fraser Legal met us at a convenient time for us in the evening to show us round. He was very helpful and we put a successful offer in. When it came to moving into the property Peter also met us the day before the official move in date (Agreed with previous owner) to give us access to the detached garage to store some things, which helped us greatly on moving day. He even helped move some boxes!

Connie came out and valued 2 x guest houses for me in Glasgow one in the city centre and one in the west end. She was easy to deal with and very experienced in her field this came across in her communication and the advice she provided, her communication was excellent.
