A total disgrace!
We were going on holiday to Penzance from Bournemouth. Our holiday was in May, we booked the taxi in January. The fee was £240. We paid £86.51 upfront. The taxi was scheduled to pick us up at 8am on the 3d of May. To be on the safe side, I called them to reconfirm two weeks before the date. The company sent me an email to reconfirm the day before the holiday. At 7am on the day of our departure they sent us a message saying that they had cancelled the journey because the taxi driver had health issues. They made no effort to find a replacement driver. This left us in a desperate situation. We had a ferry to catch in Penzance. This caused us enormous inconvenience and anxiety. This taxi service is totally unreliable. We will never use them again and we would advise others not to either.

Following our review, we have identified that our controller contacted you as soon as we became aware that the allocated driver faced an unavoidable issue—he felt suddenly very unwell and was suspected to have COVID-19. Wanting to avoid any risk to you, the driver could not continue with the journey.
At that point, our controller realised there were no last‑minute alternative drivers available directly from our company in your area. However, understanding how important your trip was, we immediately contacted a third‑party provider to try to fulfil your booking.
Please be aware that, as we have no direct control over third‑party providers, their payment terms were different. The only option they could offer was a cash payment of £300. Our controller passed this offer on to you, but you refused, believing it to be £60 more than our original price.
We completely understand your concern, and we accept that our controller did not communicate clearly that we would reimburse that £60 difference in full, in addition to refunding any money you had already paid us. In short, you would not have been left out of pocket.
We want to reassure you that we did try our best to fulfil the service and not leave you stranded. We sincerely hope you can understand that.
The money you paid us (£86.51) has already been refunded. Additionally, if you still wish to claim the extra £60 that the third‑party provider would have charged, please email us directly and we will reimburse that amount to you immediately.
Once again, we deeply apologise for the distress and inconvenience caused.

The short answer to that is the taxi never showed and I had paid £32.94p the day before, tried to call you three times but only got an answering machine, had to call around to get another cab who did come and charged me £12.00, I was going to St Pancras station from N19, a distance of 2 miles, I want my money back.

After thoroughly investigating our records (reference: MYT379333), we would like to clarify what actually happened.
You booked with us via Uber as part of our internal agreement with Uber as a provider. Our Uber driver arrived at the pickup location at 5:02 AM – just two minutes after the scheduled time. However, upon arrival, our driver informed us that you had already taken a different cab and were no longer at the address.
Our controller, Narmadha, attempted to contact you and also sent an email at 5:41 AM explaining the situation. We understand this was frustrating, but the service was not fulfilled because you chose to travel with another provider, not because our driver failed to arrive.
That said, we acknowledge that this booking took place on 4 May 2023 – over three years ago. Due to the length of time that has passed, we are unfortunately unable to process a refund back to your original payment method through the bank.
However, as a gesture of goodwill, we would like to offer you a voucher to the value of £32.94. Please contact us directly with your correct email address, and we will arrange this for you.
We apologise for any confusion or frustration caused, and we hope this resolves the matter to your satisfaction.

Got the job done but could do better...
There were a lot of messages/emails back and forth as part of the booking and confirmation process which came from more than one source. This seemed a bit heavy on the communication but at least I felt reassured that the taxi was going to turn up. I confirmed about 3 times that I could pay in full by debit card once I was in the vehicle, but the driver didn't have a card payment facility. Luckily there was an ATM nearby and I took out the cash. The driver was also a few minutes late and went to the wrong address, but it was nearby and luckily we saw each other. On arriving at Gatwick he dropped me off in the Multi-Storey car park because it was £8 instead of the £10 drop off fee. This takes a few minutes extra so is important to factor in when you need to catch a flight. In the end, he got me to Gatwick safely and on time but only because I always allow lots of extra time when making travel arrangements to allow for mishaps. In summary, they got the job done, but it's not a rave review. I've used another company for years who always provide a very personal and efficient airport taxi service so I'm comparing the two. Unfortunately they were fully booked.

Our driver showed up on time
Our driver showed up on time, was very professional and pleasant during our trip. He drove us for 4 hours to Manchester waited for us for 6 hours and got us back home by midnight. He was cheerful even after such a long day. Most importantly he drove safely. I would highly recommend this service.
