Quite willing to take payments but when I need their help they turn to a pack of wolves I paid for replacement van on policy it was eventually organised after speaking with a very condescending individual I was told I'd be given a replacement for 60 days was told I'd be given a week after waiting for over a week I was contacted by enterprise inverness Airport only to be told night the underwriters had cancelled my booking I was shocked I'd recommend no one ever uses this company it was through dialdirect. I recently had to file a commercial insurance claim with NIG, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From start to finish, the process was marred by delays, lack of communication, and an inadequate payout.
Firstly, despite promptly filing my claim and providing all necessary documentation, there were significant delays in processing. It took an unreasonably long time to receive any updates on the status of my claim, leaving me feeling frustrated and uncertain about the outcome.
Additionally, when I finally received a settlement offer, I was extremely disappointed by the amount. It fell far short of covering the full extent of my losses, leaving me in a precarious financial situation. As a loyal customer, I expected better support and a more comprehensive response to my claim.
Furthermore, the lack of communication throughout this process only added to my frustration. There was a distinct lack of transparency regarding the status of my claim, and I often felt left in the dark about what was happening.
Overall, my experience with NIG was deeply unsatisfactory. I expected better service and support, especially given the nature of my claim. I hope that the company takes steps to improve its claims handling process and communication with customers in the future.

They will drag out all claims over 6 months, tell you they have no issue in settling the claim, then hit you with an exclusion clause 8 months later after you've incurred thousands of pounds in additional costs waiting for your insurance payout! I have nothing but praise for this company who dealt with a recent insurance claim for me. The staff and loss adjusters they worked with were all second to none. Completely on the ball and fair. I dealt with 5 ladies in total on different dates and all were excellent.

Accident occurred in mid October. Vehicle deemed a write off and valued at just over 5k. Payment made and in bank 1 month later. Very happy with this outcome.

NIG worse than thieves
NIG have just decided not to pay my claim for stolen business equipment under their office and surgeries policy. They claim that I was not covered for theft. This is 6 months after I first claimed, and after I was recently told by the loss adjuster that he had approved the claim. I am beyond angry. Avoid this company at all costs.

NIG are always reliable with their site visits and give as honest reports and feedback as they possibly can. Very professional
It's not service and you are not treated like a customer
They take nearly an hour to answer the phone. Ridiculous. Tried 5 times over 2 weeks. They write to you but never reply by email or post. When I finally got through to someone, the staff-member was so rude and spoke to me as if I was a criminal. Not a customer paying £1400 a year for an insurance policy. I would say terrible customer service but there is no service and you are not treated like a customer. Never again.
