Do not accept their tactics to avoid claims and lower paying out. Takes time but fight them. Under consumer duty they have to act in good faith and bring good resoultions to the customers whose risks... Ver más

Nothing but theifs

Agreed to start a fleet cover for our vehicles, once they had taken two payments they cancelled our insurance, claiming the business wasn’t past the 2year old requirement. This was never asked before agreeing to the quote and we was never made aware that this was a requirement beforehand.

I will be contacting the ombudsman and trading standards.

This is how small businesses are killed, insurance companies take their money and do nothing in return, disgraceful, I have lost 95% annual income and NIG does not recognize covid as a reason for business interruption policy to kick in.

NIG Weasels out of Covid related Claims

Disgusting company who has denied paying out business interruption claims by saying when the policy was written, Covid didn't exist. The Supreme Court just ruled that these claims should be paid out, but as NIG was not part of the list of insurers being taken to court by the FCA, their judgment did not apply to NIDG customers. Shameful. In a world where there is no shame left.

This company is a disgrace

This company is a disgrace. Takes them weeks and weeks to process a form. Been waiting for these clowns to pay put for 5 weeks after agreed settlement. Still nothing and these clowns are allowed to basically do as they please. They simply do not care about the consequences or their actions

Leasehold flat insurance scam.

NIG insure a leasehold flat I own through a Property Management Company(Urbanpoint) and an insurance broker Citygate. It is obvious we are being ripped of by the broker and property management company. We are charged a premium of £5800 for the insurance whilst I have obtained quotes at around £1400. Everyone I have approached advise we should not be paying more than £2000. Despite insurance for leasehold flats being a national scandal NIG approve this practice and have no duty of care to leaseholders. Shame on them and the rest of the insurance industry.

Buildings insurance - a rip-off

NIG insure my leasehold maisonette through brokers, Reich Insurance. Their policy for 2020 includes minimum excesses of £500, which is an incease from NIL in 2019. There was no notification of this change and the excess is penal on a property valued at approximately £110,000.
Their premium at £161 is approximately 100% higher than the lowest quotation from comparison websites.
A rip-off all round designed to ensure no claims for an expensive premium.
