Steer clear of this Company at all costs. Without a doubt the worst Insurance Company I've dealt with.
They appear to have forgotten their purpose. We'll be moving all of our Business elsewhere.

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star! The fact that their still a company and able to operate is crazy !!! I been waiting for 1 week now to tell them that my van has been stolen !! The police has found my van and it is write off and said they will crush it if the insurance won’t get in touch by a certain date then I will be in debt .. I got past from loads off different people and different numbers .. completely awful !!! They give people a reason to be depressed and stressed. They need closing down !

I had an accident on 12/7/23 when another car jumped a red light and collided into me. They took the car to garage on 25 th 13 days post accident. No update in between , always on hold for more than 90 mins. Very poor customer service.
Today the team leader was supposed to contact me post my call this morning to an advisor after trying for several days and what a surprise no calls till 17:30. I am been made the criminal. Been pushed from pillar to post. There has been no check about any discomfort or wellbeing.

As with all other reviews , this is the worst company ever, always on hold for around an hr, have made over 20 calls to this disgrace of a company. I have now had to involve the Financial ombudsman service and that will follow with court proceedings.

Have tried to contact NIG Van insurance, I waited 50 minutes on the phone two days running, each time after the 50 minutes they cut me off. I have replied to two emails to NIG, not once had a reply. Can anyone suggest how legally we can remove this cheapskate company for selling insurance.

I have never had such a bad experience trying to get hold of an insurance Company like this one. Phoned 3 times, waited nearly an hour each time only for the phone to overflow and be answered by someone who doesn't know about car insurance. I have a vehicle off the road, i just need a replacement courtesy vehicle to run my business effectively. This Company isn't helping whatsoever! Come on NIG pull your fingers out !
Don't insure with this company
I had an accident that I am climbing for and they have been extremely slow to respond. It took nearly two weeks before I got through to someone after my accident. And that was after calling in and waiting untold hours over the two weeks and emailing.
I have sent my quote to them for repairs to my truck and haven't even had an acknowledgement email to say they've received it. Have tried ringing multiple times as I need the repairs done as my MOT is due in 3 weeks now and it currently won't pass.

One of their drivers hit me NIG phoned me to make me an offer and extra 250 on the day my car goes into repair if i dont go through my insurance. Its been a month now and no contact from them. My car went in for repair yesterday. I have emailed them and rang them. Hour or more wait on phone only to be fobbed off. I have sent numerous emails no response back. I wouldn't mind but I expect them to keep to their end of the deal or atleast reply back to my emails but nothing. I have now sent another email telling them I will put in a formal complaint if they don't honour our arrangement just a total nightmare

One of their drivers hit my car and drove off, I reported it and got the required details. When I contacted NIG it took 45 minutes waiting for them to answer the phone (busier than usual, value my call, thanks for my continued patience blah blah blah..... not enough to provide customer care though!). I gave them all the details, name registration and policy number of their dishonest policy holder. They assured me that they would be in touch shortly, usually 24-48hrs. They didn't, I left it a few weeks and realised that they weren't planning on getting back in touch. I called them back spent another 50 minutes on hold (as before they are so apologetic, although not sincere) only to be told to ring a different number as she couldn't see the claim. Once again almost an hour wasted as they claim to be so much busier than usual, they are not busier than usual, this is usual!
Why I should have to do all of the chasing when I am the innocent party is disgraceful, as is NIG's performance. These companies need to be fined for underperforming!!!

My car was wrote off on 6/4/23. This organisation advised me on two occasions that my car was safe to drive baring in mind I have a toddler that I have been driving with in the car. Despite them never seeing the car. I took it upon my self to take the car to a local garage as after a month they still had not contacted me or come out to see the car. The garage advised the car would be wrote off and was not road worthy. I have spent weeks chasing this company for answers. 5 weeks later I have been paid out for the car which they STILL have not been out to look at. The vehicle is STILL sat outside my house. A company have called me to arrange to collect my car. The address they had for me was totally different to my address also they only had a landline number for me. I have never had a landline. So not only have they been extremely unhelpful and negligible they also breach data protection. They paid me £50 compensation for the upset however I don’t believe this was sufficient considering the amount of stress and upset this has caused me. Terrible communication and a catalogue of errors from this organisation. I would avoid dealing with this company at all costs!

See when I took out my commercial van insurance I didnt think I would ever need to use it , Nor did I think I'd get No contact whats so ever from NIG , As stated in previous comments ,Getting through to them is a mission in itself 3 / 5 mins wait time they say , forget it try waiting close to 1/hr just to be told still waiting on the engineer making the decision & there's nothing they can do , We are now on day 24 since the run in with a artic truck. Even after they have received the garage report and notified them that my vehicle is a total loss. Now if anyone can let me know whats the average timeframe that the engineer can take on this , Or I'm I best to just to contact the FCA just now.

Absolutely appalling company to deal with. Two weeks since I was involved a non fault accident and I still haven't been able to speak to anyone to start a claim. Hours on hold for nobody to ever answer. I will never have this company as my underwriter again
Useless - hours of my life wasted trying to contact them
Hit by a van insured by this company 4 weeks ago. Driver immediately accepted liability and claim started. They want to potentially write my car off, which needs an engineer to make a decision so a 3 week delay until there was someone available to call me to discuss. No contact made, so i tried to contact them via their customer service line. It says current wait time is 3-5mins, but i've called them multiple times today and yesterday and have been unable to get through. At the moment i'm over an hour into my latest call on hold. Their call back option doesn't work either. Absolutely abysmal.

Absolute horrendous company to deal with, never do what they say they are going to, 30 minute wait on average to talk to someone if they don’t cut you off before then. Would never take out a policy with these cowboys again. Be aware before trusting this company with your valuables
Absolute Disgrace Of A Company …
I have commercial vehicle insurance with NIG one week has passed and I’ve still been unable to speak with anyone about my claim. I keep getting passed to Action 365 who tell tell me they have sent all the Info. One week with no vehicle and not even started the claim yet. Utter disgrace and totally unfair on a small business that needs its van to work.

Avoid at all costs, nothing but headache. Decided to cancel my insurance without valid reasons. scammers. Paid for insurance in one payment, 2 month later they decided to cancel it without valid reason, and refunded 1/3 of the sum. Avoid avoid avoid.... Wish I read people's reviews earlier now it makes sense

I've been waiting for a due date check from them since the end of September. They lie that they sent him.
Royal Mail in England works fine and the options that 2 checks have already been lost are simply ridiculous.
This has been going on since the end of September!!!!

We have an on going claim with this sorry excuse for an insurance company. 7 months now and counting! outrageous! Every other week they try a different angle to wriggle out of paying. We will be taking our complaint further.
