Stay away from this company, they are possibly the worst company I’ve had dealings with, they are posing as a uk company but are in China, the product is completely rubbish and impossible to return, it’s a scam and should be taken down immediately from any advertising site.

I ordered a shirt. It took a long time to arrive and when it did finally arrive:-

The quality was highly unsatisfactory- the fabric is cheap and nasty, the buttons were not properly attached and the seams were poorly stitched and coming apart.
The size I ordered was 2XL but the shirt received was certainly not that size.

I rejected the shirt on that basis . In the UK, you are legally entitled to do so in terms of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the retailer is then legally obliged to refund the whole amount paid and provide a pre-paid return label if the retailer wishes the item returned. Oliver James Tailors repeatedly refused to accept their legal obligations in this regard and kept referring to their terms and conditions (which dishonestly provide that items have to be returned at the consumer’s cost to a warehouse in China). The point I kept making to them was that I was rejecting on the basis of unsatisfactory quality and item did not conform to the description and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires payment of a full refund. Their returns policy is not relevant.
This Company needs to be closed down and thrown out of the UK.

This company is dishonest.
They are a front for Chinese goods.
They also trade without a uk return centre which is against uk trading laws. They insist all returns are shipped to Asia.. not legal for uk traders.
They state the use high quality local materials... in my experience this is not true. My goods were cheap material shipped from China 4 weeks after the order.
My recommendation.. do Not buy from them and report yo trading standards as a scam Chinese trader.

Avoid at all cost. It’s not a Uk company but Chinese. Ordered the Riviera shirt. Arrived but was very poor quality - cheap and nasty fabric, Not well tailored and not worth the money at all. Very disappointed but should have read the other reviews before ordering

I only gave 1 star because the shirt accidentally arrived.
The shirt is made of the cheapest material possible. The sizing is a joke,& the proportions of it are ridiculous(the sleeves are 4” too short).

I ordered a men’s tailored shirt from what appeared to be a UK-based retailer. However, after 14 days, I received a completely different item — a cheaply made women’s-style blouse, nothing like the product described or advertised. The parcel arrived from China in minimal packaging (size of a crisp packet) and the item is unwearable and misrepresented.
This constitutes a clear case of goods being not as described and potentially misleading advertising. I have contacted the seller and requested a full refund. If they do not resolve the issue within 7 days, I will request my credit card issuer to look at the transaction and initiate a chargeback or apply Section 75 protection, as appropriate.

Ordered a shirt on 13/7, still waiting on 25/7. From the tracking information it’s still in China. The website doesn’t make it clear that these are Chinese products, or that deliveries take so long. My fault, should’ve done my research better; thought this was a British company but it doesn’t look like it is. Goodness knows what the quality will be like but, going by other reviews, I’m not hopeful.

Scam. Goods are extremely poor quality and shipped from China. This is not a British based company, purchasing via Facebook is very easy where they neglect to inform that the .uk domain is offering China sourced goods. Returns need to be sent back to China at your own cost.

The other reviews showing 5 star experience are not customers. Avoid and save yourself from disappointment

The pictures of the shirts looked good. The company claimed to be British and returns possible. The truth is they aren’t British. Therefore normal buyer protections don’t apply and you don’t have them. We are talking here about comparing British integrity and Chinese dishonestly or propensity to mislead.
The materials they use are synthetic and the quality appalling. You can return the items BUT to China. The cost is yours, the address obscure and delivery highly unlikely,
Top tip avoid this and other Chinese posing as British fraudsters.

Absolutely appalling, order took over a month to arrive, shipped from China. I ordered 2 cotton/linen shirts, I received 2 shirts in the wrong size made from Nylon. I’ve demanded a refund , will update, my advice do not use these people

COMPLETE SCAM. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I ordered a shirt and it took over a month to arrive. When it eventually did it the material was something resembling cheap nylon. Advertised as linen. Looked nothing like the photo or description. Worst of all, using the size guide I ordered an XXL. I am normally XL. The shirt was at best a medium size. I could not do it up and the sleeves were at least four inches too short. After a number of texts I was told that if I wanted a refund I was to return the shirt to an address in China. I would then get a refund when it arrived! Fat chance! The shirt is now in the bin where it belongs and I am out of pocket.

I purchased a Riviera Stripe Shirt, promoted on their website as a lightweight cotton-linen blend fabric. What arrived was a Stripe Shirt made with fabric that comprised 35% cotton and 65% polyester. I would never have purchased this shirt if I had known this. I feel that I have been deceived.

Do not buy from this company. Advertise on Facebook. I ordered some 'Yellowstone' Cargo shorts supposedly 'made for rugged Summer adventures' and 'heavy duty cotton build'. What I got after about 3 weeks were flimsy, lady-like shorts, no belt and definitely not fit for purpose. I paid £39.95 - what I received probably not worth £5. The returns policy is a nonsense. You have to return the product at your expense to their Asian warehouse. Then they will (possibly) refund your money - but in all likelihood they will find some excuse not to pay. PLEASE AVOID - you just be throwing your money away.

Absolutely nothing like the pictures. Material is nylon and shaped nothing like a man’s shirt. Company purported to be a UK based company and it is not.
Please don’t waste your hard earned money.
Scammers

Total scam. Two shirts arrived supposedly 2XL but they would barely pass for medium. Material is also not as advertised. I have also received an offer of 15% off a future purchase - as if I would bother. They are refusing to honour their refund policy.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! They are simply criminals... I wish I had seen the other reviews before ordering because it seems that many people have suffered similarly.

Absolute rubbish. Ordered 2 shirts, cotton/linen mix. They arrived 3 weeks later, 35% cotton, 65% polyester. Absolutely shapeless rubbish garments that I wouldn’t even wear to bed

Ordered shirt. Their website says it is cotton linen blend. It’s also says quick delivery by Royal Mail.
When the shirt arrived it is 70% polyester with no linen whatsoever. Quality is not good.
It also took 5 weeks and is shipped direct from China.!
Their website is very misleading.
I have asked for a refund and they keep offering me a small percentage off next purchase. This is useless to me as I will not be buying anything else from them again.
This dispute is still in process.
Overall very poor indeed.

OLIVER JAMES is apparently based in the UK but why i have a received goods from China with a made "Made in China tag"
The clothing is terrible and looks nothing like the pictures..
On the website it has "100%" free return but they only offering 15% discount off my next order.
I really wished I had googled the this company before purchasing, its a complete fraud!!
