Appalling quality on there blue and white shirt on facebook, its nylon, terrible stitching down the front and on the collar.
Also the refund is only payable if you pay to send it back to an address in China.

This is an entire scam, I am referring to trading standards.

I cannot say anything different than the other 1* reviews. Do not go near this company.

Simply dreadful fit, material, feel and quality. Avoid. 2 shirts are going straight in the bin rather than to try to return them to these scammers.

Ordered two shirts , cotton linen mix , two shirts 35% cotton 65% polyester arrived - just awful . Returns policy means I have to send them somewhere in Asia …at my cost….and not the address in Cannock that they were sent from !!!I won’t be going anywhere near this outfit again .

Have never felt more ripped off by any retailer! Prport to be uk based, took 3 weeks to make its way from China, the shirts were the quality of a £5 item from a bazaar.

Terrible quality! Ordered 2 ‘Riviera Stripe Shirts’, which are described as “Lightweight cotton-linen blend for breathable comfort.” They arrived looking like crisp packets, with the label saying “65% polyester, 35% cotton”. Ultra-thin, sweaty material which would cost you a £fiver off a market stall. To return, you have to send back to a dodgy Chinese address at your cost. The photo of their ‘shop’ on their website is fake and the company are scammers! The positive reviews on Trustpilot are probably fake too - look at the made-up names. Avoid!

Wasn’t sure what to expect but ended up very satisfied. The cut and feel of the fabric are better than other budget options I’ve tried.

Happy with my order. It’s not luxury-level, but for the price it’s really good. I’d be comfortable ordering again.

I was going to try and return the shirt I bought, from this scam company, however my wife said she needed a new dish rag , I offered her the shirt but she said the quality was no good and was not fit for dish rag purpose. I like to think I don’t get scammed but this bunch of cowboys make Del Boy look reputable

It’s rare to find such responsive service these days. They actually answer your questions clearly and kindly. The items I got look and feel great—no cheap shortcuts. Highly recommend giving them a try.

Apart from poor quality my shirt was several sizes too small (tiny label said 3XL but shirt was several inches less around the chest than a M&S 3XL shirt).

AVOID!!!

Avoid at all cost. Chinese scam.
Read the reviews here and take note. This company is operating under an ‘assumed’ English name and will show you a UK operating shop ( with asian assistant). The shirt I ordered is ridiculously poor quality, synthetic, very poorly made and with non matching stripes. Awful. Delivery takes two weeks after shipping from China! Despite their offer of returns, this will involve postage back to China.
This company says more about China and Chinese trade than anything. Beware any of these companies trading on social media under adopted uk names and sham businesses.
Any positive reviews here are almost certainly fake. Beware. Avoid.

Very decent for the price. I liked that they gave honest advice on sizing, which helped me choose right.

Can’t complain at all. Excellent value for what I paid. The build quality is better than expected, and they handled a small order mistake without any fuss. Definitely recommend!

Overall a solid purchase. The design looks exactly like the photos, and the fabric isn’t flimsy at all. I had to reach out about a payment question and they sorted it quickly without any stress.

If I could give no stars I would.

Bought a Riviera shirt. Absolutely rubbish quality. No labelling to indicate what it is made of but I wouldn't get too close to a naked flame while wearing it. They suggested going a size up so I did but if a gust of wind got under it I would take off.

There is one born every minute and this time it was me.

This company is a complete scam.

My two Riviera shirts arrived from China and they were awful! Terrible nylon material, awful design and shape and were totally unwearable. Colars were a bit of extra material just stitched on- no stiffening, no care label and no Oliver James branding. Noticed on my bank card it showed payment being taken by YB Commerce Ltd ,Hong Kong so clearly they are scamming the Oliver James name and reputation. I will never buy on Instagram again!!!

Having read some reviews here saying that the items are cheap and poor quality from China, I emailed the website asking where they were made, since the website portrays a UK business that carefully designs and sources premium fabrics. I also asked if the returns address is UK based or not, since I would be paying for returns.
Twice they have replied simply ignoring these questions, referring me to their website, where this information is not actually shown.
I can only therefore assume the clothes are imported from China and the returns, as others have written here, are also to China, making returns prohibitively expensive.
As a result, I'm not risking a purchase.
