I love companies that are upfront about what you’re buying. The description was clear and accurate, no surprises. The items fit well and seem durable.

What stood out for me was how personal the service felt. I had a couple of questions and they took the time to answer in detail. The product itself is solid quality—worth every penny.

Good experience buying here. The clothes are well-made for the price, and I appreciate that the sizing guide was spot on.

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. Its website makes it out to be British, but the jacket I ordered was made in China, with poor materials and tiny sizing. When I complained, I was first offered a replacement or exchange (whatever that means), then when I asked for a refund, I had to pay for it to be sent back to China (£20 postage), for a reduced refund. Really poor.

The item is poor quality - arrived with no labelling, no size, no care instructrions, no return instructions. item is way to small for the large size ordered and is poor quality

This company impressed me with their honest, straightforward approach. No pushy sales talk, just clear info about what you’re buying. The items look great and feel durable. Plus, it’s refreshing to deal with a team that responds quickly and kindly.

Very disappointed. Finally arrived. Very poor finish and quality. Not what it looked like online. A striped shirt should have the collar stripes horizontal, as per the Oliver James website. The collar stripes were vertical, looked like a prison jacket.
Chinese junk, and not a boat !!

Pretty happy overall. The design looks exactly like the pictures, and I appreciate that what you see is what you get. Customer support was polite and helpful when I asked about care instructions. I’d order again without hesitation.

Looking at Oliver James Tailors pages shows a number of items that look to be good value and the store seems to be a London store of quality. So, I ordered what I thought was a nice shirt £34.95 at discounted price and paid. I was surprised how long it took and after looking at the tracking, it was being posted from Chine. When it arrived it was something I would never dane to wear, poor quality wrinkled and below the size specified. It also have a label saying it should be dry cleaned. Who buys a shirt to have it dry cleaned? Arranging to post it back 2 days later, the cost was over £14 to post to China, so I have lost that anyway, but the product is nothing like the images shown. Ovviously emhanced images to sell. When applying to return, I was offered10% discount to retain it, but declined. Then offered 20% to retain it and after saying I would not accept it at any price, I was given an address to return it to but they suggested I declare a low value to avoid import tax. Not a very professional company and I would never recommend them to anyone at all.... ever. BEWARE.

Very poor quality, nothing like the picture. One item hasn't even turned up and they are claiming it needs investigating before refunding. The top that did arrive was supposedly half price at the bargain £34.50 it isn't worth £1. And to send it back to China is £19.20. Website claims they are British Fashion Company, show a shop in the UK. When it arrives the item is squeezed in the smallest package from China. I just wished I'd seen the reviews before ordering. I am hoping PayPal protection will help get some of my money back. Don't waste your money.

 Received the shirt I ordered earlier today. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement the shirt is of terrible quality (Not Cotton) and poorly made. It is quite obvious this shirt was made and shipped from China, quoting Oliver James Tailors UK is a joke and a complete fabrication of the truth. I will try and warn other potential customers not to do any business with company. It is obvious this is just an other example of a Chinese Scam.

Quality fit is awful and no solid easy returns policy.. I would avoid

Classic style, clean design, and modern fit. It doesn’t try too hard, but still makes you look put together. I’m glad I found this brand.

Do not rate even 1 star. They have sent a shirt which is nothing like that advertised in breach of the The Sale and Supply of Goods Act (1994). This act dictates that any goods your business sells or supplies need to be of a ‘satisfactory quality’.
They need to: Be fit for purpose Have no faults. I was offered a 15% discount on my next purchase keep the shirt and no refund. When I re-requested a refund they have not bothered to reply.

I would give No Star at all for this so called UK based Company. Ordered 2 striped shirts for my husband, which took ages to arrive. When they eventually came, size was not right, collar not as crisp, looked flappy and it didn’t look like any of the photos shown on their website, the cotton/ linen mix fabric was more like a polyester mix. There is no label inside, which would tell you details about the fabric and where it was made.
It took 6 emails, to tell them that I wanted to return them and to get a refund. They offered several amounts of discount for my next purchase and to keep the shirts. I refused this and at the end today, I eventually got a Chinese address in Zhejiang , the address looks weird, with strange description of a 3rd floor , no2 elevator on the west side….not once was Oliver James - tailor mentioned.
I will send the parcel off on Monday and have it tracked, I know it will cost me a bomb, hoping to get some sort of refund after it arrives in China…. !
Please please do not order from this Oliver James-tailor which is a Chinese retailer, it is not a genuine UK retailer …..it’s a Scam 😡

Absolute rubbish. Went straight in the bin.

Didn’t know what to expect at first, but everything went well. The shirt is nice, though the sizing runs a bit small — something to keep in mind.

Great value for money. The shirt looks premium and feels even better. Fits exactly as described. Will shop here again soon.
