And the company's policies with regards the warranty and the fit for purpose unit = total rubbish nothing but excuses on excuses.
To the point they have stopped replying to any contact. Even if you try to contact the expert !!! Who states this product is one of the best ..states the server is not responding or doesn't exist.

Orbitnav, avoid at all costs, useless sat nav, new out of the box from china. cannot get any satellite signal in UK, cannot get response for seller, lost my money. Do not purchase this satnav.

My IT guy spent an hour trying to get a signal with no joy. Company's solution was try again in an open space. I live in a village in the countryside! Now they expect me to post it to China. I have asked for an address for their UK distributor.
I am now using my phone which works extremely well

I was taken in by a report in Google purporting to be by some sort of academic expert extolling the virtues of the Orbitnav. In fact the expert does not exist and the e-mail address purporting to be his is in fact a sham. Missed that and paid the price.

This company produces an adequate looking piece of hardware but there it stops. The Orbitnav claims to be a satnav, but it cannot operate as a satnav in the UK because the maps are not detailed enough and do not go down fully to street level - even in large cities like London. It takes an age to programme and when operating on a route the map simply disappears at times. Try to put in a postcode and you'd be quicker stumbling around the country until you fall upon the destination. When asking to return the item for a refund, the company - through somebody claiming to be called Rachel, obfuscates endlessly asserting that the product is very good (which it most certainly is not) and then they offer a paltry percentage back (which frankly I think is unlikely to materialise anyway) and a statement that I can sell it on.
Whatever you do stay well clear of this one. Still in dialog with this lot and they continue simply to assert that the product is good when they know it is not.

I don’t know what negative does people see in this sat nav. What l know is that this sat nav provides everything required to know your destination. The sound is clear. It gives you detail about the road. The picture is clear with a big arrow to tell you where u are going even tell you the road to take. The bonus is that it gives you the lane to stay in if you are on multiple lane. The only negative which l believe are negligible is the suction did not come with a sticker to stay on the surface which have to buy on amazon. The other negative is also the battery life which is so small. May be 30 mins. But it came with both usb and car charger which both fit into my car to charge it as l drive. Although l would have preferred not having cables around me in the car. Anothing negative is the Bluetooth connectivity to my car which is till not connecting as there is no means to type the code into the sat nav to accept connection from the car so that the voice can come directly from the car. However the sound from the sat nav is so clear provided u not having car radio on to distract. They even processed the refund of the other sat nav that l cancelled, even though 5percent cancellation fee was taken off which l don’t mind as they have already made this clear in their terms and condition b4 purchase. The delivery was smooth as well from china until the Royal Mail in UK started failing to deliver it which even resulted in my car getting crashed when l went to their office to complain of their inability to deliver the sat nav on the schedule date. This company gives u good tracking of the items.
However be warned that this company is not based in UK as their co.uk misled me to think that they are in UK hoping l could phone them. Unfortunately they can only be contacted by email in china.
Overall their product is good considering the price which is far away from the expensive one in UK. The sat nav gives you the same benefit that u will get from the expensive one in the UK. Even with their low price. This sat nav is still rated the best. Not heavy. Big screen and good shape resting perfectly on the dashboard as if it came with car.

I would give it no stars if I could. Completely useless, On/off doesn’t work and as screen is on while charging it never can be fully charged.
No ability to use postcodes so is of no use to me. Can’t see how to input GPS coordinates as was stated in review which was why I bought it in the first place.
Clunky and antiquated.
Not fit for purpose.
Then just to top it all off customer services is pathetic and you have to post it to China for a refund to be processed and no guarantee you’ll get all your money back. Then finally it’s £27 to post it back.
Absolutely useless, DO NOT BUY.

Shocking company … Lie Orbitnav UK is not in the U.K. scamdectector.com reveals lowest trust score on their platform - untrustworthy risky danger … so the sat nav won’t programme to U.K. just read the endless returns policy jargon and it seems if you return the sat nav because you’re not happy with it, they will decide whether they will refund the £119 or not based on their agenda. I waited ages for the item it arrived in bubble wrap and plastic bag. Package damaged. No paperwork. Yet the returns states it has to be a box with sufficient packaging so as not to damage the item?! Really?!
However there is no returns address, neither on the returns jargon or even the website there is no mailing address?! I’m so dim should have looked there first people! Endless emails I sent asking where and when shipping would start and that the tracking details they sent didn’t work! They replied with a “be patient!” comment…. emailed to me several times, when asking customer services for their mailing address in the U.K. they ignored my questions! Just repeating BE PATIENT !
So now I have a useless sat nav £119 out of pocket plus I have to purchase a box for the extra packaging to protect it on their requirements of returns!!

I quote from their returns page “ HOW SHOULD I PACKAGE MY RETURN?
Please use a cardboard box to ship your return and include one paper of your order ID inside the package. Fill up any excess space in your package using packing peanuts/bubble wrap to ensure that your item is not damaged while in transit to us. Items that are returned damaged due to poor packaging will not be eligible for a refund.”
I received the sat nav in bubble wrap and a plastic bag … no ID PAPER WORK FROM THEM ENCLOSED SO HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO RETURN THE ID PAPERWORK? ! No return label enclosed. Unhelpful.
This ROGUE TRADER HAS NO ID other than email!

Also says on returns jargon if I have opened the package and used it no refund! Well I didn’t use it but I had to try and set it up to use it and so had to open the package and TURN ON THE SAT NAV ! ! Is that under being used and no refund?!
So it’s a heads you loose, tails you loose situation…. AVOID AVOID AVOID this company!
They state in the returns if the package arrives to them wherever they are?! If it arrives back to them damaged in transit of return you don’t get a REFUND ! Is that the customers fault?!
This company is criminal absolute daylight robbery …. I will be reporting them to trading standards …. They are just chancing it with customers … if they don’t read the small print … they get the money for purchasing and then they get the sat nav back to sell again?!
They double their money in effect! Or I can not risk a return and loose and keep the defective sat nav …. Either way I loose …. Wish I’d gone to Amazon ! Amazing Amazon !

Don't trust this company they are now ignoring my returns request.
They have no history. No physical address and no contact details on the website other than an online email contact page. Been mugged off …. Thats a months fuel for my little car lost and no sat nav… how do these people sleep at night ….

This is an antique software programme for a sat nav. You cannot use a postcode, firstly select area, select town, street. Being a multi stop engineer I do not have the time to input all the details required.
Requested a refund but they will not help the process, my cost to send to China, they deduct 15%.
Currently contacting my credit card company and Trading Standards. I have cited this as not fit for purpose. I shall continue with what I use now, Google maps, Waze, Sygic. They are all far more user friendly.
