£55 fee for cancelling in cooling off period
I think it's disgusting that they charge £55 fee for changing your mind in the 14 day cooling off period. That over half my annual premium. Bunch of crooks.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our cancellation fee. As a broker, we incur costs when setting up policies with insurers and aggregators. The Financial Conduct Authority permits us to charge a fee that is considered fair and reasonable. Waiving this fee would mean absorbing those costs ourselves, which we’re unable to do.
Our fees are clearly outlined in the Terms and Conditions, which are presented and agreed to before the policy is purchased.
We hope this helps to clarify the situation, and we remain happy to assist if you have any further questions.

I was genuinely happy with the price and service but disappointed that they took the money out of my bank account without having notified me first as this might have taken me into my overdraft.

I purchased a policy online forgot to submit a none fault claim from 2022 by my wife . Had a message to call you ,and was charged another £25 not good .

When changes are made to key details such as claims history after a policy has been set up, a broker administration charge does apply. This is why we always stress the importance of providing complete and accurate information prior to purchase, as doing so helps to avoid any potential premium adjustments or late disclosure fees.
We also advise all customers at the point of purchase that amendments to policy details are subject to a £50 broker fee. In your case, this charge was reduced as a gesture of goodwill.

Sadly this company is age ist. and the under 25’s 30’s are running the show with no respect or kindness toward older people they talk down to me on the phone, when I cancelled my policy I arrange with them to take out in monthly installments which they did not do and took the whole lot out and some more, I was not able to speak to anyone but instead all by Snapchat no apology but I will be looking for my refund for sure, no reason why they couldn’t treat properly

Had to put 1 star but company deserve…
Had to put 1 star but company deserve minus 5....
Had monthly car insurance for Mazda MX-5 from 23/3/26 as going to sell it in June. Sold it yesterday and had to contact office for balance owed. I owed £143.99 for 17 days insurance as T&Cs said credit up front. In total I paid £212.51 for 17 days insurance. My other car with AVIVA charged me £35 admin fee when I sold it mid insurance.
Dont touch these muggers from Essex even if they say read T&Cs as who does actually read them?
I while certainly stick with AVIVA who are my other car insurers.
PERFORMANCE DIRECT are in my opinion greedy robbers and as Ex Falklands Royal Navy Veteran of 23 yrs even the Argentinians treated me better!!!!!

We’re also sorry to hear that you’re unhappy with the cancellation charge. When arranging policies, we incur costs through insurers and comparison platforms. The Financial Conduct Authority allows brokers to apply fees that are fair and reasonable, and unfortunately we’re unable to waive these charges without absorbing those costs ourselves.
Regarding the remaining balance following cancellation, Premium Credit settles the policy cost in full at the outset, and repayments are then made via monthly instalments. If the refund issued by the insurer does not fully cover the outstanding balance on the credit agreement along with our cancellation fee, the the shortfall is owed. We collect this balance on behalf of Premium Credit once a policy has been cancelled.
We hope this offers further clarification. Should you have any additional questions or require further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
