My mom gave me one. Didn't think anything about it.
A year or so later I had a stove fire that went wild. (I swear that I'm a good cook.)
I ended up having to grab the blanket and put everything on fire out. So, 5 stars for that.

But, I ordered another set of blankets to have in my home, and already paid for them, but they never came. $42.97 was charged to my account but nothing showed up. Ordered on 4/24/2026. So, 0 stars for that.

If anyone actually reads these, I'd really appreciate some sort of response. I want to get some new blankets.

MINUS FIVE STARS!!! After having read all the negative reviews I feel like I should have looked further into this business before buying Christmas presents in December. Now I have NO FAITH WHATSOEVER that this product would even work in the case of an emergency. These people rely on the fact that most would not check their bank account for a recurring charge. Even after I called the company to discontinue the “service” (the option to buy their products at a “discounted” rate) they continued charging my bank account. I would gladly join in a class action suit if anyone else has been scammed by this despicable company and take them to court. If I could give negative stars I would give them MINUS FIVE STARS!!!!

The blankets are great. But beware of them signing you up for a "free" VIP membership that will then charge you $30/month until cancelled.

Predatory sales practice- the recurring charges were not even clearly delineated on the original order. And to top it off, 2 of the five items were damaged or ineffectual. Avoid them!

The prepared hero fire blanket stopped a fire from growing when I let oil get too hot and it burst into flames. It was easy to use and put the fire out in seconds. I'm so grateful I had this product. They are sending me a replacement after filling out a quick form on their site. Great company and product. Very grateful I invested in it.

Our PREPAREDHERO Blanket saved our house from burning yesterday! I was standing a few feet away from one of our portable wireless speakers on the kitchen counter, when all of a sudden it popped extremely loud and burst into flames! At the time I was holding a small box in my hand and I first used that to swat at the flames, when I ran over to the cabinet where we store our PREPAREDHERO BLANKET, and yanked the two straps down, releasing the blanket and then quickly covered the burning speaker. Grabbed the entire burning speaker and blanket and ran out the door, threw it on the concrete and it was still burning until I covered the speaker again and eventually the fire went out. The speaker even burnt a hole in the blanket, it was that hot. We are so very grateful for this blanket and glad we didn’t try and use our fire extinguisher! Everyone NEEDS to have these in their homes for peace of mind!! Thank you PREPARED HERO!! Beth & Gary T.

I ordered some of the fire blankets from this company to give as gifts in April 2026, and they were delivered. Then I noticed that I was charged 31.79 for May and June; when I called the person told me that this was for some type of VIP service. Like some other reviewers who I saw describe the same type of charges, I asked to have the charges for both May and June refunded. They agreed to refund June but not May. Although I review my credit card statements each month, I missed seeing the one for May until I looked at the June statement and started looking back. I would advise anyone ordering from here to closely check their statements to avoid having a recurring charge that they don't want appear. I plan on calling my credit card company to block this company.

Customer service was amazing. I ordered four blankets for my family as Christmas gifts. Thé delivery company took a photo of the package at the front door of my apartment building but it was gone so I assumed the worst. Prepared hero replaced all of the blankets with no extra charge. Recently, six months later, the package was found in a closet near the apartment mailboxes. I emailed prepared hero for their return address and théy responded quickly that I didn’t need to return them. Four more apartments will be safer thanks to their great service

Great products well presented I feel better with them in my home. Hope to never use them!

I made a purchase in November 2025 and each month following that purchase a charge of 32.31 appeared in my credit statement. It went on for 6 months before my bookkeeper caught it.i did not sign up for anything or get anything for that money. I want it all refunded. December and January payments are still the issue.

Just wanted my family to be safe so I purchased the Hero Blanket for ourself and for my two daughters who live away and also bought the Prepared hero chocking machine for each of us also for any emergencies and piece of mind so the whole family will be protected !! Love them their great!!!

I purchased 4 fire blankets in February and was charged $70.32. The 4 additional monthly charges of $31.98 were on my Visa bill and went unnoticed until today. When I called they said it was for a VIP Membership which I certainly did not knowingly signup for. This review is not on the product itself but for the deceitful nature of this "VIP membership" that has no apparent value.

I decided to buy myself and my home protection. I love to cook in my kitchen and outdoors on my tiny grill. I can say I’ve had no fires out of control on either, but when I do, I’ll have protection that’s easy to use and maintain. I like that I’m able to carry it outside for the grill and keep it in the kitchen for the stove. I don’t have any directions I have to read or expiring dates I have to check. Yes I can use a fire extinguisher but I’ll be honest, I can’t remember directions, and while I’m reading directions, the fire is completely out of control! Much easier to just throw protection and smother ! I don’t plan to use this any time soon, but when I have to, it’s there

It took me a few months to realize they were charging me monthly for some "VIP membership" that somehow got stealthily added to my fire blanket order. I didn't select it. I didn't even realize I'd gotten a trial of something. They just suck it in there and started stealing $32/month from me. Fraudulent business practices.

It's all packed in a convenient little case and makes it easy to pack when on the move. It's easy to use and makes me feel confident that it will work.

Do Not BUY from these folks!!!!! These folks are deceptive and will attach a monthly subscription to your order-$34.30. Do not buy from them you can find these items at Lowe’s and Home Depot. They are very difficult to get a refund from and they would not return my subscription fees-I did not sign up for it-
