Appalling response time, and apparently absent minded when trying to locate paperwork

All went ok with the repair although it took three engineers and as many weeks to fixit. I decided to cancel my automatic renewal, as I had decided to buy a new dishwasher, luckily keeping copies of letter, post office receipts etc,and informed my bank to block future payments.This year I received a letter( first communication in 14 months) stating I owed this year’s premium, I rang them and was told they wanted £25 to cancel policy.I said I cancelled last year and was told they knew nothing about it and to submit all relevant paperwork, which I did three weeks ago( sending by recorded delivery, more copies) and have heard nothing since. I emailed and messaged giving them a chance to contact me before I posted a review…. Nothing
The two stars are for the repair…Even your reply is full of excuses…

I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with your experience.

I have looked, and you did email into us back on the 9th of November, replied to on the 10th confirming the account has been closed.

I am sorry that this has not made it through to you. Sometimes these things can end up in your spam folder.

When investigating your supporting evidence of your royal mail tracked letter it showed that Royal Mail had given your recorded letter another company that works in the same building as us had not made its way to ourselves.

AEG WASHER/DRYER REPAIR

Our AEG washer dryer kept tripping out the electrics at home. The machine is just 2 years old and typically, is only just out of warranty. AEG were singularly unhelpful when I reported the fault other than to suggest that they sent an engineer to repair the fault. Apparently the £169 cost to do this covers the call out and a 3 month guarantee for the work and is non-refundable if the machine is deemed beyond repair. Not much of an incentive to use their repair engineers. I contacted Repair and Maintain to explain the issue and they were really professional and helpful. An engineer visit was arranged quickly. The engineer diagnosed the problem and replaced the faulty part expertly and efficiently. I thoroughly recommend this company and am pleased that I now have annual cover with Repair and Maintain for the two most expensive items in my new kitchen!

A satisfied customer

The repair was done within a couple of days of my call. The engineer was polite and efficient. He waited to check that the dryer was now working.

Six weeks in and machine still not fixed.

Further to Ben's reply below - Ben, you may want to look up your notes. First set of 3 random parts were wrong, more were ordered which still did not do the job as the dryer never worked. Someone was always there on the day appointments were made in the hope of having this machine fixed! Yes, new machine was then bought at a reduced price.

Six weeks later, three engineers, multiple parts ordered and still machine isn't working. 28 day money back should machine not be fixed is a farce. To escalate a complaint one must send an letter by postal mail to the Head office - more waste of time! I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service received.

I can see you initially booked in a repair where our engineer attended the same day and subsequently replaced the heating element.

Unfortunately, the appliance then broke down at a later date and we have since replaced the appliance with yourself.
I know we had some problems arranging appointments around your daughter's schedule which did cause some delays.

I will pass your feedback on to our service manager to highlight ways in which we can improve our service going forward

Washing machine repair

The service was good, engineer was reliable and friendly. Had to wait a little longer for the part as the first part that was sent was the wrong type.

Excellent same day washing machine fix

The engineer came the same day, after I returned from holiday to a broken washing machine.
He was on time and very polite.
He spent time making sure my washing machine was working properly before he left. Nothing was rushed.
I would recommend using this service.

Efficient friendly service

The repair was organised quickly and I was kept informed of when the engineer was due to arrive. The first engineer came out on 04/08/22 and quickly diagnosed the problem. He ordered replacement parts and a second engineer arrived on 09/08/22 to fit them. Both visits were very straightforward and the staff at Springplans were very helpful and courteous. I would be happy to contact Springplans again if I needed assistance with one of my appliances in future.

Great service

Steven was great. Had to have a whole new motor so he couldn't fix it the first day he came but was back within 3 days with the new part and fixed it very quickly.

Perfect service after warranty runs…

Perfect service after warranty runs out. Prompt response, qualified technicians. I have used this service a number of times for a washing machine in rental property and it saved me a lot over the costs of callouts and parts. Would highly recommend.

What a scam !-check what you've signed up to!

Had a faulty Bosch dishwasher a year and they put me in touch with SPRING PLANS LTD (..cheers Bosch!) who came out to fix it. It was beyond repair. So I had to pay for a new Whirlpool one at a 'discounted' rate. Bargain?? - far from it. What they don't tell you is that hidden in the payments they sign you up to a REPAIR PLAN at £88.25 - For a brand new dishwasher with a 2 year MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY!! What a scam!
But the worst part is - they don't tell you you have taken out a repair plan. I only found out when another £88.25 was taken from my account this year- No paperwork, no e-mail, no cooling-off period notice. Now I can only reclaim a pro-rata amount back to something I never wanted or NEEDED in the first place - Minus their £25 admin fee of course. What a bunch of criminals!!

When my machine stopped working I found Repair and Maintenance via Google, my first call to them was very easy and things fell in place really well - the machine was fixed in the stated time and the machine has continued to perform well from then on
