From start to finish flo and Joanna looked after us and made us a perfect itinerary with a very fair price! The landcruisers were fantastically equipped and we had a brilliant exspearience. We will be travelling again with safari drive and encourage anyone considering an african safari to at least drop an email to see what on offer!

My wife and I went with Safari Drives for our Honeymoon to Namibia. They provided the ultimate experience and we had a trip of a lifetime.

Our contact in the UK was Joanna who listened to our needs, concerns & designed an itinerary which was beyond our expectations. When we wanted to change a lodge or campsite this was never a problem.
On arrival in Windhoek, having sorted out our own flights, we were met by Jens who was our contact during the 3 week stay.
We all had a 4x4 driving instruction lesson and go on the way back from the airport before settling in for the evening.
The next day we had a full briefing of routes, how to get out of sand and a very comprehensive tour of our Landcruiser.
The vehicles were amazing with everything that may be required for our trip having been considered by Safari Drive making our holiday so pleasurable and easy.
The campsites had spectacular locations and the lodges were on many an occasion an African holiday dream come true.
Even a puncture requiring a new tyre and a side window hinge was sorted by Jens without any fuss.

Top tip- if you are tall ( over 6 feet ) use the tent which opens over the bonnet rather than the rear tent and build in a stay at The Waterberry Zambezi Lodge near Victoria falls.
In summary , I cannot praise the entire company enough and I look forward to booking my next trip with them.

Our second trip with Safari Drive, we are already inspired to plan a 3rd. It starts with the personalised service planning the ideal trip for you and your party, full of practical, pragmatic advice; they have so much intel on great places to stay and activities. The vehicles are amazing, you will fall in love with Land Cruisers - you'll be looking up prices on your way back! Self-driving really allows you to get up close and personal, and so it feels adventurous but never unsafe.

We cannot fault Safari Drive. Our family holiday to Namibia was everything we hoped for and more. Every single person was super helpful whether when planning the trip (and helping us stay within budget rather trying to upsell) to on the ground support. Namibia is the most incredible country and the team at Safari Drive brought it to life for us. Thank-you!

Safari Drive organised a recent trip to Namibia for us. It was fabulous. We were a group of 8 with 4 Toyota Land Cruisers. The organisation from start to finish was exceptional. We were sent full details and maps before departure from the UK. We were met on arrival, given a full brief with the vehicles, a tablet to show us the way, walkie talkies between the vehicles, and full camping gear. We would certainly recommend Safari Drive to all our friends.

Excellent Safari travel company. Provided a tailor made, self drive holiday in Namibia for our family. All staff involved were very supportive and responsive to our requests. Very high standard of vehicle and equipment. Would highly recommend.

We travelled Namibia starting in Windhoek, down to the dunes, up along the coast, Etosha and then Caprivi Strip ending in Vic Falls first half of March. We were doing mostly camping and a few lodges. Going camping was slightly out of our comfort zone but turned out to be a very nice experience! It was easy to raise the tents and they were comfy inside. The camping sites were nice and secluded. The vehicle was perfectly adapted to our needs, and we didn’t miss anything. The cooler inside the car is a really nice touch!

The itinerary Joanna planned for us was very good. She understood what we wanted and implemented a few concrete wishes from us. The mix of lodges and camping were great and we always felt like we were getting the best possible options. All the Safari Drive crew were so helpful! We had a minor accident with the car, but Jens couldn’t have handled it better and we felt very well taken care of. He was always available on the phone and we could discuss route options with him along the way when it was both dark and wet.

All in all, a fantastic trip. Great vehicle and great staff made it possible for us to enjoy the adventure it actually is doing a self drive in the Southern parts of Africa. We want to do a second trip and Safari Drive is our obvious company to use the next time as well!

Brilliant. Joanna worked really closely with us to understand exactly what we wanted from our trip and put together a plan that made sure our expectations were met and exceeded. She stayed in contact with updates and suggestions right up until departure. Even while away Joanna was responsive and organised some activities for us - above and beyond!
The teams on the ground in Botswana were also fantastic, great communication, well briefed and efficient. We got a superb pack with maps and information that got the right balance of feeling adventurous as well as well supported.
The vehicles are awesome, you’ll leave wanting to buy a land cruiser they tackle anything! Camping was great fun and interspersed with lodges for hot showers, delicious meals and friendly welcomes was ideal. We stayed in some high end as well as modest lodges, Safari Drive can tailor to suit your style and budget.
This was our second trip with Safari Drive, we will 100% use them again, we really appreciated the highly personalised service, and fantastic quality cars and equipment.

As a middle class American family our Namibian Coast and Caprivi vacation was an extravagant splurge and Safari Drive gave us GREAT value for our money! We added a combo boat and dune ride with Mola Mola in Walvis Bay, and changed our last night of camping to a site just outside of Chobe in Botswana - both were fantastic additions to the Safari Drive itinerary. Hope to do another country with Safari Drive in the future. Be sure to go to the Craft Center in Windhoek for souvenirs - great selection and prices.

Safari Drive provided a great selection of places to visit and stay in, plus a well equipped car and superb support whilst travelling.
We were a little anxious about travelling so far from home in an environment so different from our usual haunts, but Safari Drive provided all the advice, support, and backup that was required to make this a great holiday with lots of good memories to look back on.

Safari Drive provided us with an excellent Namibian self-drive holiday.

The diversity and expansiveness of the landscape we drove through was truly amazing. We saw a variety of wildlife (mostly in wilderness settings) and the people we met were very welcoming. We were also impressed with the overall quality of the accommodation (camp sites and lodges) and the meals, both at the lodges and in local restaurants.

The staff at Safari Drive were very helpful, from initial trip planning to in-country briefings / support. Their vehicles are 100% fit-for-purpose and extremely well fitted out both for 4WDriving and bush camping.

It was also re-assuring to have an on-board satellite phone and 24x7 access to medical support, as well as basic 4WD recovery gear too.

All in all, a holiday of a lifetime which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We had a fantastic 17-day trip to Namibia. The Safari Drive crew were excellent. The itinerary was perfect. Even the dreaded tyre change on the 2-tonne Land Cruiser went relatively well. Oh, and the roof tent was surprisingly comfortable! A great way to see a stunning country.
