I have had SBLI insurance for 20 years and recently had to renew it. They made the process pretty easy and are a great company to work with.

I did a lot of homework before buying…
I did a lot of homework before buying life insurance. SBLI had some of the best rates, and they were quick to answer all my questions and move things along.
I didn't give 5 stars because there was a lot of back and forth with the medical questions. I feel like most of the questions were answered or could have been answered in the first call.

Too difficult
The time, paperwork and emails for a 25,000 policy on a healthy 37 year old non smoker was questionable at best!

Communication with SBLI during the whole process of medical exam to underwriting, was good. SBLI always returned answers to my questions. The premium rate turned out to be better than 3 other life insurance companies. I’ll always endorse SBLI if friends ask

No policy, no refund
I sent in my payment to pay for my policy in full ( annual), policy was never issued. I requested a refund and now they said they issued the policy AFTER I obtained a policy elsewhere. Now I can’t seem to get my refund of $1163.25
