Absolutes stay away from WinZip! You can "buy" the product, but they NEVER stop nagging you to upgrade to their subscription tier. You'll pay for it, then uninstall it jus to make the pop-ups stop.

Un outil mal foutu et bugué. Ergonomie moche, pas claire. Instructions et messages d'erreur qui renvoient vers des menus qui n'existent pas. Incapable de gérer les noms longs. Si plusieurs fichiers dans l'archive présentent le même problème de nom, pas moyen de lui dire de tous les ignorer, il faut le dire un par un, avec deux clics à chaque fois. Et accrochez-vous bien pour désinstaller WinZip, parce que lui il s'accroche bien à votre pc.

I subscribed to the free trial and subsequently paid for a year's subscription.
Unfortunately I was not aware that there was an auto re subscription at the end of the time period and it was renewed without me knowing.
So when I got my credit card statement I saw the renewal and tried to unsubscribe on their website but it appears there is no facility to turn off auto subscribe. I have written to Win Zip and have been told they have a strict 30 days refund policy and will not refund me. So this review is just to warn you about their subscription methods. By the time you realise the subscription has been renewed it is usually too late to ask for a refund. I don't know about the product as I have never used it.

I will choose ANY compression software in preference to WinZip, simply because of their pushy and intrusive marketing.

I got the trial version of winzip and I planned to pay for the full version when it ran out. Until I started to get annoying pop ups telling me that my trial was running out soon. The distraction and annoyance was enough to make me decide they did not deserve any of my money ever and they owe me if they want me to use their software. I'm from the 1900s and winzip was free back then so maybe I'm unrealistic but how much has the software changed to require you to exist as a company still? I feel bad for people who work here because the company will go out of business soon based on the reviews I've seen. I wouldn't have written this review except I got another notification after my trial ran out. I used the software once.

I signed up ans pad for 12 months access earlier in 2023, when I tried to use Winzip a week ago I was given a message that my Winzip ghad expired. I had to pay another GBP 54.00 for another 12 months to be able to useaccess even though I purchased less than 12 months ago, this not the first time it has happened to me
When you send an email to their help email, you get an automated email that says you try their online portal which addreesses general questions and unable to get answer to questions specific to my situation andWinzip are making it didfficult as possible to contact themm a classic scam tactic. I am totally fed up Winzip!

Used to be brilliant, installed, nothing but hanging, not responding, your filled it with ads slowing it down, will ne uninstalling

Adware & near impossible to cancel. Bought a subscription a year ago to enable secure document transport. Get pop-up ads even when not using software. Went to cancel and the only method advised is using the [deliberately?] broken link on the invoice.
Disturbingly poor for such a long-standing company. I'll be looking to sever any corporate relationships my company has with Corel.

This company just like others uses a subscription method for using the package.
I emailed them and told them due to the current fiscal climate I do not want to renew.
So what happens? I get a thank you subscription paid invoice.##I have contacted them and I will take legal action to recover my money and I shall complain to the advertising ombudsman due to false pretense lack of possibility to cancel and the money being taken out of my bank.
In Australia this is NOT acceptable.

Keep well away. Just another sales pitch, that will mess with your pc.

After installing WinZip I had major problems with my PC freezing and Windows Explorer misbehaving. A complete uninstall solved the issues immediately. That, and the regular pushes to upgrade, have made me decide to avoid it in the future.

The renewal was automatic. Over a week ago. Tried it and it says EXPIRED. Validate the software - did so and - nothing changes (though the web site insists I am active). Nothing changes- reinstall, same. Reboot same. Uninstall, reinstall, same. Never get out of circle-jerk hell.

I was sold a down level version of this product as part WinZip's parent company Corel's Cyber Monday deal.

When I installed the software, it automatically upgraded me to the current version and asked me to pay for the new version.

This is bate and switch by Corel. How can a company sell a down level version of their software without making that clear in the so called "special offer"

My subscription Began with a bumpy start at the beginning of December. I was unable to successfully register my product meaning I could not use WinZip. I contacted the help desk, and waited 2 weeks for a response. I advised my Registration number, that I was using a mac, that I have fully uninstalled and removed, and reinstalled the software and attached a screen shot. The response today was disappointing, I was advised to go to the start menu and uninstall the program, then delete the C:\ProgramData\WinZip folder, both of which do not appear on a Mac, and then given a registration number for the PC version to use. I was given instructions for the pc version. I replied, luckily this time they answered within a couple of hours which resolved the issue, together with an apology for the inconvenience, however no compensation (ie an additional two weeks to my subscription).

In terms of product, it adds cloud services, and uses the main brands, it would be great for future realises that other online storage providers are included, such as pcloud.

When I've tried to download games or files, WinZip is constantly asking me to pay for it, which makes it really hard to do anything relating to downloading it. When I try to get into the game, a pop-up appears telling me to pay for it, and at the end of the day, I can't end up even getting into the game.

I've decided to just buy a new computer. One that does not make the mistake of buying WinZip

Sikkert et godt program, men afgrundsdyb støtte. Deres konstante pop-up annoncer er dræbende.

Winzip. Seemingly free, then endless bother about buying. Pop ups randomly. This is absolute crap-ware.

Software with malware and virus. Invades your privacy.
Scammers with a software filled with malware that can inject w/e they want in your browser.
