Terrible, used to be free, endless pop-ups in Windows that you can't prevent. AVOID!!

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT! I used the old version of their product for years and it was great. But this new version is a nightmare. Wanted to send a zipped folder of a number of pdf files to an associate. It not only converted the zipped version to their proprietary pdf format but all my original target files as well. Now anyone wanting to view these files (including me) needs the pro version of their product, which is an annual subscription!! I am seriously considering filing a complaint with the FTC as this practice is quite harmful to consumers. Repeat: find an alternative to this product because you won't be happy.

All I got after subscribing were more emails asking me to upgrade and buy more products. As others have reported, I kept being asked for a Registration Key which never worked and only took me to another pitch for another product or upgrade. NOT WORTH IT!!!

Their sales and marketing processes are bad and not joined up. Worse, their complaints process doesn't exist. I have a long list of complaints about their renewal processes and Upgarde Assurance.

I have WinZip with auto renewal of subscription (I was was not actually aware that this was the case). I have recently had a subscription renewal notice and as I have no use for this product I have uninstalled the software. There seems however to be no way of cancelling the subscription, and they have my bank details of course. It seems obvious that they make it deliberately difficult/impossible to cancel. Does anyone know how to overcome this?

I bought the product, and within a week I got an email inviting me to upgrade to the latest version for free, which I did. The new version asked me for my serial number which I entered, and then it said it was for the older version. I emailed support for an upgraded serial number/support, and they've done nothing but ignore my ticket. I've had to go back to my credit card company to get a refund. Do not buy!

Don't be fooled into using the free tool. Once they have access to your computer they pester you daily to upgrade to their full service. All they want is your money

I pay around £10 per year for an "upgrade assurance" subscription but they just simply haven't provided me with the latest upgrade and customer support is a void into which my requests have disappeared.

Jeg har tre af Winzip´s programmer købt for ganske nyligt 1 måned, har i mellemtiden købt en ny PC, nu siger Winzip at har brugt den antal PCér programmerne må installeres på, og at jeg skal købe nye registreringer.
det tangerer svindel af den grove slags, så køb kun en ny PC når du ikke har nogle af Winzip´s programmer, eller lade vær med at købe deres programmer!!!! så jeg har brugt for 1000kr. programmer for at bruge programmerne 1 måned, så pas på!!! Winzip er et svindel foretagene!!.

I bought a licence just to get rid of comerce and advertising. However, every week there comes a pop up screen with a 70% discount offer. No matter how many times I contacted them to have it removed, untill now, it is alarming silence.

Winzip use deception tactics when offering a seemingly free version of winzip. It is not unresonable to accept that free cut down versions are offered when so many software providers offer basic versions of their software for home use, with full blown versions available to purchase.

On the Winzip website, they claim to offer a free version.

Only after downloading and installation do they allow it to be known that it is in fact a 21 day trial for which you will have to purchase a license. This is a deception and I would not trust any (particularly software) company that employs such tactics.

I uninstalled immediately and 'cleaned' my system. Usually my cleaner utility finds a few things to clean after a browsing session but after Winzip contact, there was loads. Even more reason to mis-trust them.

Check out open source and genuinely free alternatives. Read reviews - there are several very good offerings. I should have done that before trusting winzip.

De trækker forsat penge selvom man har meldt sig ud. Har skrevet op til flere mails men uden svar. Svindel! Hold jer langt væk!

I renewed my licence for Winzip Registry Optimizer in September and then had a renewal reminder for the same product in November. I emailed Winzip asking why this was and received no answer. I tried cancelling the auto-renewal in the product options but the second payment was still taken. I emailed them again and have heard nothing. This is at best terrible customer service, but the continuing silence is starting to feel like fraud.

And as pointed out in other reviews, when you sign up you get bombarded with adware that you can't turn off.

Don't touch 'em!

WinZip has no reliable support system, and the program i9s evidently unreliable. I signed up and it worked one time - after that, it kept asking me to give my authorization code, but it wouldn't accept it.

Customer service answered a couple times, but no solution was found. They now ignore my requests for either making it work or giving me a refund.

I'd avoid these guys.

When I downloaded WinZip25 and I installed it my Win 10 laptop started to have all kind of problems. The only way I could clear up these problem to completely install WinZip25. After look on the Web I found a number people who were having problem with this software.

I do not recommend anyone load this software!!
