I really enjoyed this course! The content was excellent, and it was delivered with so much confidence, passion, and genuine enthusiasm that it made learning really enjoyable.
The facilities and location were great too, making the whole experience even better.
If I could tweak anything, it would just be the structure of days 2 and 3, as things felt a little rushed toward the end. And personally, I’d prefer fewer anecdotes about non–first aid emergencies so we could stay more focused.
Overall though, a brilliant course that I’d definitely recommend.

Sam made my first aid course very enjoyable and easy to understand can fully recommend. Had fun as well as learn a lot.

Had a really great Fire Marshal training experience with my work, delivered by Ben Hanconck. I thought the content might be quite dry, but I honestly found it so interesting:

1. The videos shown were well picked, engaging and really bought me into the importance of fire marshalls
2. Ben's anecdotes were interesting, relevant and informative and helped me remember the key messages
3. The uses of the different fire extinguishers were given in just enough information for me to remember and actually practicing them has given me so much confidence with using them (although only in a very small number of use cases!)
4. Loved that there were activities throughout the session that really helped embed the learning

Not only was it a great session, but shoutout to Ben for staying super cool even when our office IT and access created issues! Truly great session that meant I'm fully bought into the importance of fire safety, not just in my work but at home as a result!

Dean the trainer for the course is a credit to St John’s Ambulance. Simplified things, extremely informative and a fountain of knowledge. Definitely made me feel at ease during the 3 day course. I feel ready to put my training into practice if I have to. Thank you once again Dean

Excellent course with amazing trainer. I learnt so much by taking this first aid course and it’s a privilege to be a first aider. Thank you so much St John’s Ambulance for making me feel so welcomed.! All staff are amazing 🌟 and they do an amazing job in our communities.

Great training from Dean - feeling confident and knowledgeable to handle first aid incidents. Would recommend.

Trainer was confident, got the message across but also made it easy to understand and with humour.

Dean the trainer delivered the course with passion and enthusiasm which made the entire group fully engaged with the course content. Everybody was made to feel comfortable and nobody was made to do anything they didn't like being the person to lie on the floor for demonstrations, it was left to the people in the room to volunteer.

Delivery of training high standard and explained well

I'm terrible with names. I think the lady taking our course, name was Donna but there's 2 Donna. This Donna has a dog called Luna? She used to be a teacher, she's fairly new.
Amazing lady, knowledgeable, relatable, funny.
Learnt new information, and skills for life.
Was a really useful and fun day.

The trainer Donna N was very helpful and understanding and I enjoyed the training day the day was interesting and eventful

The trainer was very good, very easy to follow what he was teaching us, I seemed to understand it a lot better than previous ones.
Injuries and possible death is such an emotive subject but this was handled with a lot of sensitivity,.

The training was super and John was a fantastic trainer.

The only issue was that we were in a gym which not only feels a bit weird and slightly gross, it was very very cold and the celling was dirty.

The course content, delivery and instructor were first class. My only negative comment is about the venue. The room was far too small and cramped to fully accommodate the types of activities needed in first aid. We had to go to another room for all the practical work which impacted on the overall learning experience.

Jason our trainer was excellent. Being an IQA myself, he presented well to the class, engaged the class and made the session fun even though the topic is quite serious should you need to use first aid at any time.

Personally myself I learned a lot from Jason during the session and I would highly recommend this course. Thoroughly enjoyed.
