We were referred to Smith Thompson through a family friend. They raved about their prompt and friendly service, affordability, and no contract service. We were skeptical at first cause it all sounded too good to be true. Turns out it wasn't! The service technician was out at our house at the drop of a hat, and was very knowledgeable, courteous, and clean (facemask, sanitizer, etc.etc.). Price/month is amazing & the service since has been flawless. I had ADT in the past, and will never go back. You can't beat Smith Thompson.

Smith Thompson was great! They helped secure every entrance, even ones I hadn’t thought of, educated me on their app, and charge a low flat fee.

I had my service started on 07/01/2020, the service person was clean and efficient. He set up my service in less then an hour installed a new board so I may use my smartphone to activate the alarm. IT did not work, and it is going to take two weeks before someone can come out and make repairs. I just regret paying up front when I could have been billed.

Originally used ADT for security and they were charging me $65+ a month for security and other features I didn't even have. I was recommended to use Smith Thompson and have not been more pleased. Only paying around $20/month without a contract is a steal. Thanks!

I'm going on my three month with Smith Thompson and I couldn't be more pleased with the system it's self and the customer service i have received. After install I had one window that would not set and I called them and they where back out the next day to fix it. Both techs that came out were very respectful and knowledgeable of what was needed to be done to switch my system over to Smith Thompson. The full process from the time I call to get a quote through the completion was painless.

I was with ADT for many years and, fortunately, never had an emergency or a need to call. However, it always bothered me that they were not a local company and their security services were in an entirely different state. It was especially frustrating that they required that the customer sign a contract and each year when the contract renewed, the rate automatically increased so I happened to see an ad for Smith Thompson and decided to call. I was quite pleased with rate I was quoted and, since there was no contract to sign and I could cancel at any time, I decided to give them a try. The technician who came out was able to use my existing equipment and had to make only a couple of minor changes. He even took the time to answer some questions I had never understood about the keypad.

The couple of times I have called, I was treated respectfully and full attention was given to my concern. I love that Smith Thompson is a local DFW company and I might add that their rates have not increased since day one. I would highly recommend Smith Thompson to any individual or company looking for great security service!

We have really loved our experience with Smith Thompson. We live in Garland, TX and had a security system in our house, but had not used it since moving in our house in 2017. We were able to get a new system installed. We called on a Wednesday and a technician was able to get to our house that weekend. The technician called us when he was 30 minutes away, called before he knocked on the door, and set up our security system in under an hour. We really appreciated how detailed the technician was in his explanation on what our security system entailed, and answered all the questions we had. Very excited about our security system.

Recently switched from ADT to Smith Thompson and very glad we did. Their technician, Clint, (Austin area), was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. This is the 4th home/security system we have had and he was the first to really explain how everything works. He was also able to use existing equipment (including stuff included with our new home that ADT couldn’t use) so our home is much more secure at 1/3 of the price. Clint was also very careful with Covid 19 safety protocols, including mask, sanitizers, shoe covers, etc. Great service!

Very glad I switched over to Smith Thompson Security for my new house. They are very fast , efficient and most of all professional when it comes to the security of my house. I was with another company for many years, however will never go back now that I have found Smith Thompson... A very good company for home security.

I recently switch my alarm monitoring to Smith Thompson Home Security. I installer was very professional and arrived as scheduled. The installation was very neat and quick. I like the idea of not having to sign a contract and the monitoring fee is very reasonable. I would highly recommend Smith Thompson for security monitoring.
