I ordered a product from Apple and…

I ordered a product from Apple and waited dutifully for it to be arrive only to b told it had been delivered. A delivery had been attempted at my neighbour's house and when they weren't home it was forwarded to a post office. I rang Startrack to get them to organise for the correct delivery but I was told once it was at the post office they could do nothing. Fortunately I was able to cancel my order with Apple and get a refund. Complaint process was obscure and protracted. Staff were quite nice, but company policies clearly stopped them being. able to help. Apple yes, Startrack, a pox on you.

What is the point of Startrack? A so-called "delivery service" that never delivers.

​I still fail to understand how Startrack, which is the parcel delivery arm of Australia Post, either cannot - or refuses to - deliver to an Australia Post parcel locker.

The whole point of registering for an Australia Post parcel locker, which is very close to my home, is for safe and reliable delivery to a convenient delivery address. Whenever a retailer chooses to use Startrack as their (non)delivery service, all these benefits are lost; the parcel goes straight to a post office and I have to wait several days or weeks until a gap in my working hours coincides with post office working hours. And then pay $9-12 each way for an Uber, to get to and from that post office.

So, as I have asked many times before: What is the POINT of Startrack?

In my experience, Startrack ALWAYS guarantees:
a) Failure to deliver to the specified address (EVERY time)
b) Delays in receiving parcels
c) Inconvenience
d) Additional costs

How are they still in business?

Having looked at the reviews I stood in front of my house, next to the post box and waited. Surprise surprise, I saw your truck drive by, slow down by my house and then keep going. It's a road with free parking and there was not a car in sight. I live in a house with a single door. Next thing I know, the deliver was 'attempted'. Somehow, it all just happened to get recorded on my camera. It will find its way onto social media and the post will be boosted with you tagged in it. Enjoy the free negative marketing!

What in the hoop jumping, pointless administrative joke of a ‘delivery’ company is this?
Can’t deliver (or knock) a package-package goes to depot.
Card says you can pick up from depot next day. Except you can’t because it’s out for delivery again apparently. Can’t give authority to leave because it has to go back to the depot for a special sticker in order to be left. Can’t use the website to organise a new delivery date because it’s not mobile compatible and crashes. Can’t call because there’s like one person working in the call centre.

Every single time they fail to deliver.

Every single time there is a package delivery failure submitted by their drivers. Every time!!! They just slip the flyer through and not a single attend to deliver the package even is sent a premium delivery.

Worst company (yes its really Australia post)they called me to organise a pickup i stayed in all day and icalled them at 430 and they couldnt give me answer if they are still picking up today the guy said they can re schedule (waste another day at home )

I've never received a Startrack parcel at my door

I've never, ever received a Startrack package at my door, even when the front door was open & I was at home all day. Has anyone ever received a Startrack package without having to go to the post office to collect it? I have a theory that they just deliver your package to the nearest Post Office without ever even trying to drop it off at your door & then send you a message that they tried to deliver it.

ordered items from bigw online…

ordered items from bigw online ....supposed to get home delivery ..instead my parcel was off loaded at the local post office and had a 20 klm drive to pick it up. What is the point of aust post using a courier company if they don't deliver...another Aust post stuff up

Worst service and follow up - Do not use them

Ordered an item from The Netherlands. UPS picked it up and passed it through three countries, arriving three days later. They transferred it to Startrack (depot it next door to them at Botany NSW), Startrack reported it missing the next day. Then it was reported to be in Melbourne, 983km away, two days later, but no report since. Their position is to wait two weeks, and it will turn up. Absolutely worst service.

We were home all day

We were home all day, put a note on our letterbox. I doubt the delivery person he got out of their van as no calling card was left. Tired over the laziness!!! Just do your job….now I have to wait to see where they are going to take my parcel which needs a signature on delivery

Extremely poor service from StarTrack Express

The company I bought an item from used StarTrack Express for returns, and I was given a consignment note to book a pickup. Over the phone, StarTrack initially said the parcel could be picked up anytime between 9 am and 5 pm, even though their website clearly states that a consignment should be available for pickup for a period of at least two hours. Only after I questioned this and was firm did they narrow it down to a two hour window between 10 am and 12 pm.

I also asked whether I would receive a notification when the driver was on their way, such as a text or call, and was told I would get a text. The two hour window came and went with no pickup and no notification. I then contacted StarTrack again. The person I spoke to apologised and said they would raise a case to follow it up. When I asked what happens now, I was told it could still be picked up today, but they couldn’t give me a specific time, just that it would be before 4:30 pm. I also asked if there was any way the driver could text me 30 minutes before arriving so I could leave the house briefly. I was assured that would be possible.

The driver finally arrived at 2:48 pm with no text, no call, and no explanation. When I asked why it hadn’t been picked up during the 10 to 12 slot, the driver said, “They don’t give us any information about that.”

This level of service is an absolute joke. StarTrack clearly doesn’t communicate with its own drivers, makes empty promises, and wastes people’s time. Their customer service is full of apologies but no actual solutions. Based on my experience and all the similar reviews online, this company seems to have no respect for customers or their schedules. I would avoid them completely if you have the choice.

Delivery driver is in stealth mode, do not expect a knock on the door.

Expecting the parcel at estimated delivery window, we ensured that we were home the whole time. Definitely did not expect the driver to come as QUIET as a mouse and leave stating 'attempted delivery' was made. Checked my app and to my surprise it said that the delivery was just attempted when we are at home awaiting the urgent parcel. No knock and doorbell ring. Only photo of 'attempted delivery', driver had time to snap one, but couldn't be bothered to knock!

Continuously late with parcel delivery

Continuously late with parcel delivery. I get weekly packages, and I haven't had 1 full month of no problems. I have had tracked items just vanish. When calling the depot, you just get a run around. If I had any other options, I would be using them instead.

Abysmal service

Abysmal service, not sure they haven't lost the package. Supplier also no accountability, have called and spoken to them, have lodged 2 complaints, have lodged complaints with supplier. Everyone is so sorry but don't/can't actually do anything, you ask for a supervisor, outcome doesn't vary, no solutions "it's out for delivery, you can check the tracker" it has been out for 6 days past its delivery date, I have no idea whether it will or will not appear.
