I contacted tesco mobile at 8:31pm Tuesday 10th June 2025 as always to go through security 3 questions were asked well obviously you cannot get them wrong then they asked me to confirm my last 4 digits of my bank account number in all my time with tesco mobile I have never given my bank account details to pass security so I explained it to the call handler even though I said no I will not provide any bank account details she decided to ask me again the call handler then said you have failed security I done my research and found that tesco mobile will never ask you to confirm your bank account details even on their website it says they will not ask for any bank details so just imagine what would of happened if I did provide any bank details for anyone looking at joining tesco mobile there are much more better mobile providers out there

Worst company to get a mobile phone contract with we went behind with a month's payment and our following bill came in at £112 for 2 months worth we paid that and a month later our next bill came in at £112 again, we called them explained what had happened but they refused to help till the late bill had been paid, which was as he confirmed payment had been received,this went on for 6 months costing us £672 + pence and you still refused to sort it so now we treat your correspondence the same as you have ours totally ignoring your issue until you resolve this matter

The most useless mobile network I have…
The most useless mobile network I have ever encountered in my life. I requested a simple new contract set up in my name and to have my old number transferred to the new SIM card. It has been three weeks now and not one staff member either in store or within the customer care team has been able to provide this simple service that I have bee promised. Firstly, the SIM cards given to me did not work receiving or making calls, texting or access to mobile data. I was given several replacement SIM cards and was assured that the issue would be fixed within 24 hours. Still no change after a week goes by ... so I spoke to several colleagues within the customer care team. Several of their team simply hung up the phone when I expressed the fact that nothing had been done to help me at all, there was even a manager by the name of Ibrahim who pretended that there was a fire in his office and so hung the phone on me. I have returned to the Tesco Mobile store several times over the last few weeks and each time the two trainee staff members (with no manager) have tried their hardest to fix the issue, only to find out that the current case of my on-going issue hadn't even been submitted to their tech support team until I had called and chased them. I have never in my life seen such levels of unprofessionalism, poor customer service and all round uselessness i my life. I have been trying to apply for new jobs over these last few weeks and due to this on-going problem I have lost out on job interview opportunities and was delayed in being told about a close family member death because nobody has been able to contact me. AVOID AVOID AVOID this mobile network. They wont fix your issue and will lie to your face several times just to get you to leave them alone.

Wanted to lock my sim card. It's on the settings menu and requires a code. The south Africa call centre has never heard of doing this. It's an option in every phone...!

I let Tesco's know my husband had died because the account was in his name and I wanted to have in my mine. They have cancelled both phones and left without anyway to call or receive calls. I was on the phone to them before this for 90 minutes, with the answer no phone for 48 hours then to go pay as you go and has it's bank holiday I will need to wait longer. Then they send me an email to contact by phone whey they are the ones have cut me off. It's all paid up as I pay monthly but now I am stuck and they wont't answer there emails. They told me nothing would happen until the following evening, a lie they cut me off straight away. Rubbish company. No resolution offered.

For many years excellent service, even after moving abroad. Recently had a replacement SIM card sent. Very professional customer service and phone operators. 10 out of 10 for me.

I went to Tesco to buy a more modern phone yesterday. As I am an older person that is not tech savvy and I also have a bad visual impairment it was a long and slow process. Ruaidh ( sorry if that's spelt incorrectly)was the assistant. He was extremely patient, explained everything slowly and clearly until he knew I understood and was polite with a sense of humour. He was a ten out of ten. I would recommend him highly. The only fly in the ointment is why cant Tesco make it easier to praise their staff.
Avoid go with other phone provider
Honestly they don't even deserve the one star. Terrible service, terrible company mess up the simplest of tasks.

Every page on their site wants you to accept cookies!! It's so tedious. The site is always slow, I can't easily delete items from the basket, it seems to accept my clubcard discount, then takes it off with no explanation. I hate it😡

I have been with Tesco Mobile for years to be disconnected and contact turned off l spoke with customer service and manager tell me they can’t do anything l have a disabled son more less telling me it’s not there problem they wasn’t very helpful all but still wanted my money for the bill l told them there not getting any more money from me as for termination of contract so up yours Tesco Mobile l don’t think your fair on the disabled people will be taking this further to the ombudsman about it
Poor customer service
They always tell me that I provided my security details incorrectly, even though I have given the correct information. Their attitude is often rude. Additionally, they claim that they will credit my account or make changes, but they never actually follow through. As a result, I have to call back a second time, which is really stressful.
Call Centre difficulties.
I had need to call the service centre to correct a lack of action that had been promised in a webchat several days earlier. The call centre seems to be based in the Tower of Babel. The background noise is so loud that it is extremely difficult hear let alone understand what the customer service agent is saying. It took a lot of perservance but eventually we understood each other and my issue has been resolved (hopefully). However do be aware that the images of a the Tesco Call centre displayed in their advertising does not exist. You will not be connected a person in the UK and neither will you have a calm reassuring experience. In my case I felt exhausted and anxious after my call. Should I need to speak to them again I will talk to the agent in my local Tesco store I think.

Wast of time trying to top up on a so called pay as you go more like rolling contract if you get one number wrong on the top up it wants you to the redo the whole procedure again system is so slow I'm changing networks immediately wast of my time I really don't know where thay get the idiots who design these systems.

My husband & I visited Tesco Dundee Extra at Riverside Drive today to renew our 3 yearly contract. Taylor who was amazing at helping us go through all the new contract details was so, so helpful and a lovely young man. We can’t praise him enough for being so lovely and helpful. We are now up and running with our new phones.
Zero signal
Have spoke to Tesco mobile twice and they are telling us that 02 doesn't have very good coverage in this area (but had many problems elsewhere with signal) Apparently we have to pay over £300 each phone to leave contract as it's our fault we have moved recently not that Tesco aren't honouring their side of the contract. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering using Tesco mobile to think twice. Absolutely appalling customer service.
Dreadful service
Dreadful service. I needed a PUK code and the girl I spoke to was completely useless. It shouldn't have been a difficult request but she had no idea and basically just wanted rid of me. It was for a pay as you go SIM, but I'm just going to cut my losses and go somewhere else. They must lose a lot of customers by outsourcing their "customer service".

Got a sim card from the foodbank 6 Months free, 25GB Data, 5,000 mins, 5000 texts and it supposed to renew. Took photo of it and contactied customer service when it failed to renew they said they don't offer 6months. Yet they got the picture. Screenshot conversation to pass it to the foodbank and they complained. They gave me another sim card just in case ported number over and still the same problem every single month I had to contact them. I started Dec 17 2024 and the same problem every month, can't renew bundle. 26 april 2025. Given up with them. They did put credit on when I went through the same conversation every month but it's no progress. They need to sort the system out I know this because once they couldn't add it. I definately wouldn't say they deliberately done it but I was the only one who had trouble but I did port phone number over so thereis an issue. The reason I need to make them aware. Thank you for keep topping it upmonthly and putting Bundles on it for me it is just annoying having to contact every Month to sort it. I will goback with Smarty because it's,more reliable, better and cheaper deal anyway once my Tesco will run out
