Easy to contact and helpful with my application.

All good and simple to do. However since the costs can vary significantly year to year with any insurer it is unwise to sign up for automatic renewal. The AA suggesting they won't contact you if you don't sign up is outrageous.

I received different quotes each time I went back to the website. Not helpful. How many time do I go back until you give it to me for nothing?

Great Customer service. I had an issues when moving car insurance and had to make a call to their call center. Steven was great. He took my details and promised a call back when he had fixed the problem, wasnt expecting much but sure enough he did call back and sorted everythink out. Also provided a great renewal quote which saved me £250.00

I got into a muddle buying my policy online and ended up buying the same policy twice. I contacted you by phone and got transferred through to the payments department to a very understanding person. Once through they understood the problem immediately and got it all sorted in just a couple of minutes my extra payment being refunded. Understanding the insurance policy online was very easy and the price quoted was not the cheapest but on checking online about them I found that many people had the same complaint about them in that trying to cancel an automatic renewal was extremely difficult almost impossible so it pays to check who you are dealing with. Their quote was only £10 cheaper so it was not worth it for any future hassle that is why I went for the next cheapest which was the AA. I also contacted my current insurer to give them a chance to match your quote which they couldn't they still came in more expensive. So very happy with my quote with a tried and trusted insurer who I know I will give me help if I need it and not grief.

This is just one of the AA's appointed Contractors failures. Neways Building Contractors are just fitting new kitchen worktops following esape of water from the loft (many other issues also). They have also created a gas leak and the AA say I now need a complete new Boiler system!!
Incredibly poor performance, I could post images but don't know how, If somebody can tell me how, I will upload images/Work looks like a 4 year old has done it with a blunt axe and plasticine. Totally unprofessional and unsafe, an absolute botch and I am a qualified Building Surveyor.
My home suffered an escape of water on 2nd January 2026 and they are STILL nowhere finished 9 months later. I am staying in a tiny 2 room accommodation (not the 4 bedroomed home I have left) because that is all they would pay for (they claim to offer equivalent accomodation) but they don't offer anything, they leave you to search the housing market then say its not their fault if there's nothing out there. (this is their GOLD policy). I have had my pet cockapoo stolen as a result of them flatly refusing to kennel him when there policy states that they will.
I have no internet connection except a little in the middle of the night. The has benn no project manager appointed, they said the loss adjuster was doing it NOT.. There have been months when no one attended the property. When there they have wandered around outside my home causing damage to my garden and they are still nowhere finished. The Chief Executive has refused to respond to over 20 emails I have sent him. As an experienced Building Surveyor wiith 50 years experience, I advise you to stay well clear of AA Home Insurance. They are not the company they used to be.

Reasonably priced insurance. The add-on options were a little complicated to work out.

Excellent agent on the phone answering questions and offering a fair price

I would not say it was a ‘great’ experience, I reserve that for special events, however, when my current insurer increased my annual premium by a ridiculous amount I knew it was time to look elsewhere.
Yours was not the cheapest policy that I looked at but all in all with the ‘Brand’ I thought it was the best for me.
Like most online services it was a fairly easy process and soon completed, with the end result that I have the cover that I require going forward.
