My husband has car insurance with AA with my email as I do all the administration. We are both on the policy. I’ve tried to add house insurance, which we both live in, which your computer system gladly accepted my name and my email - until I tried to access the account and documentation.
Surely your system has ‘joint spouse’ policies?…so why not ‘joint spouse’ on one email address? I was ‘told’ to set the house insurance on ‘a different email address’! - but I only own 1 email address?!…. Why??
So ‘our house’ is insured but I can’t access any documents online, on an online account?? Not impressed!
The lady i spoke to is kindly sending out paper copies - assuming the mail system will deliver it……

Straightforward to get a quote. I had a query so rang in and spoke with a really helpful person. The premium quoted was the best we got so delighted to sign up with the AA.

Got insurance on Moneysupermarket.com. Very clear about what was included. Easy to set up.

I paid for my insurance in full on 28 April 2026. My car was hit in a car park yesterday while I was shopping and the person did not leave their details. I looked up my AA policy to contact you and find out how to arrange a repair but could not find my policy documents. I tied to login on your app and got an error message. I spent ages talking to your chat feature and then possibly real agents. But they could not find it and passed me to someone else who asked me the same questions the previous one had asked and I had already answered. I looked again for any documentation that you had sent me and can find. Nothing. Then I got cut off from the chat. Now I am back to square one. A damaged car and no one to help from my car insurer. I have wasted over an hour and a half this morning and got nowhere.

Ease of use and helpful advisor

How can you rate an insurance company without making a claim ? Hope I not have to find out but it is very easy to take money off people.

Insurance was easy to set up even if it did take a while to tick all the boxes. The cost was almost half of what my previous insurers had put up their cost to even though I had been with them for over a decade without a claim.

Took too long to get a quote, needed to speak to a person to discuss policy, long wait time to speak to a person. Repeatedly heard selling messages for other insurance.
The premium charged dramatically with even the smallest individual picture added (people don’t all have blank walls in their homes)
compulsory excess changed dramatically.
Inability to talk to an actual underwriter when quote is received, to discuss such. Very poor customer experience.

I wanted to cover personal items(jewellery) which is sentimental and there were no restrictions on other cover that I wanted. It was straight forward and quick to get the cover I wanted.

I needed a new insurance quote as I felt my current ins company was ripping my off, I went onto go compare . com and found AA platinum, I wrang and spoke to a great advisor Gareth who was great at going through the policy I needed and decided as I was already a AA breakdown member to go with you.

It was a stress-free experience to buy our insurance premium was and the price was very reasonable.

First step, I went online to get a quote. Then was asked to hold whilst retrieving my details. I asked if I could call them on my phone, as I struggle to keep up on the key pad. Once I called the number and got thru & explained my needs it was handled and paid for in roughly half an hour. SIMPLE. Excellent customer service. It was exactly what I needed & prompt. Perfect! Brilliant price too.
