Satisfactory but didn't go to plan
Car was great, and delivered on time. However without the booster seat and bike rack I requested, which severely disrupted my plans. The car also had intermittent radio issues where I had to keep turning it off and on again to resolve.
Customer service did extend my hire and deliver the bike rack later on to compensate me. It's frustrating that all communication has to be done by email though as there's no one you can call.

If you are caught by one of their ads…
DO NOT GO NEAR THIS. If you are caught by one of their ads beware that their "verification" process will take far more time than simply picking a car up at a station or using any of the other delivery services. I have used several similar in the US and nothing like this. You will send so many docs it will seem like online fraud but persist. Then they will conduct a review for a silly 900 gbp car charge. (This group had the temerity to suggest that I at the age of 65 had been driving for less than two years and therefore needed more verification? After uploading DL, passport, and doing video, answering multiple times their qs re clean record.) So, if you maybe want to put your assistant on this, go for it; but if you're doing things yourself with your family and want to pick up something casual for a few days, this isn't it. Bad service. Addendum - I told them forget it and they then proposed a 200 gbp cancellation fee! Horrible group.

We’re very sorry to hear our service didn’t feel as efficient as you expected. Our verification process is designed to be straightforward, but occasionally, we need to complete a few extra checks if a driving licence doesn’t display the full driving history. We understand this can be frustrating.
While a cancellation fee normally applies for bookings cancelled within 48 hours, in your case, this was fully refunded as the verification wasn’t completed.

My second time booking the defender 110…
My second time booking the defender 110 and it has been another great experience. Pick up and delivery was smooth and stress free, and deposit was refunded instantly after car was returned. Emails were promptly replied to and most importantly the cars were the newest models. Although price is on the higher side, you definitely get what you pay for. Will use again.

Really impressed with the customer service, prompt email responses. Car was really new, less than 500 miles as mileage. Car delivery staff were really nice.
Only feedback: consider a lower deposit (5000 gbp) for full insurance cover. Also change name from “Level Shoes” to something else when sending text messages to customers. Including mineral water bottles in the car would be a nice touch.

From registering an account to delivery of a superior vehicle, pick up at our convenience… first class service way beyond the normal hire car service. Staff were friendly and helpful and I can thoroughly recommend this company.
